Crime City Haiku Wednesday (trying this out)

One thing that I like is Haiku (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku)....so I'll try having Haiku Wednesdays for each game's forum.

The best Haiku (contemporary 5-7-5 syllable style) wins 100 gold. Winners are selected by me (right before the next week's Haiku) and are heavily influenced by forum feedback...keep in mind I like the funny and the creative.

I'll start it off easy:

5-7-5 is just a basic structure, not a rule. The rule is <17 syllables, a seasonal word and fixture on one subject....

No kidding, I remember agonizingly failing through a jap course for a friggen semester. Yes 5-7-5 is also req'd if you're counting jap syllables but becomes redundant when transposed to English.

Even if that is the truth, so what? It's a bit of fun. Bringing an easy bit of lightheartedness to the forum. There's so much drama and sniping and moaning recently that a bit of fun like this is welcomed. People are all getting to serious. I think quite a few people on here need to take a bit of time away from the game. Let us have our fun, id get involved even if there was no prize on offer just for the laugh it's meant to be.

I'd point out at this juncture, I've screwed up the structure, but hopefully no one will post this ironically.

So to round out this thread and mark it as read, collect my last twelves and then head off to bed.
I've two final lines to write one at a time, a lead up and summary before turning to crime.
So now I will summarise as best as I can, I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Ram I am.

So here is my story, the details are gory.
But tell me if you think the same.

When I got up from bed, my wall was all red
From some douchbag who started a war.
My hood was invaded, my buildings were raided,
And I cried till my eyelids were raw.

I hope he expires and then dies in a fire,
With rik astely on infinite loop.
Intestines unweaved, And then soon relieved
Of all fingers and toes in one swoop.

But then I relaxed, And took a step back,
And realised its only a game.
But this post tonight, took 6 hours to write.
And that arse got my nightclub again.

While these haiku posts are mostly roasts, of newbs and dudes that care to boast,
I think i could inferr that er would concurr More strucutured parameters and iambic pentameter,
Convey far More practically, and also syntactically, your intellect better than most.

While some may go on at me, I hate the economy of three single lines that are sent electronically.
And so this post goes, with prose I hope shows that haiku is a form of rhyme that just blows.
I'd point out at this juncture, I've screwed up the structure, but hopefully no one will post this ironically.

So to round out this thread and mark it as read, collect my last twelves and then head off to bed.
I've two final lines to write one at a time, a lead up and summary before turning to crime.
So now I will summarise as best as I can, I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Ram I am.
