My phone I have now only cost $0.01 since I was eligible for an upgrade.

I hardly make calls, or text on it. I text on my ipod and used to call on it so I don't need a phone really.

I have the HTC Rezound on a new 2 year a few months ago, April, so I'd have to buy it retail. My parents have upgrades but don't want it. I'll see if I can get them to use their upgrade, but not sure since I already have the Rezound and the iPhone 5 is only 4".

LTE is a new digital radio standard (the way the phone communicates with the base station), it supports massive data rates (100mbps uploads) and is expectionally efficient at dealing with multiple users.

It is actually 3.9G, with the 4G tag reserved for LTE-Advanced. It can be used with most existing network infrastructure, and uses exactly the same frequencies, although it can now make use of the new bands that have been freed up from Analogue TV.

Really, it's quite close to WiMAX and WLAN in terms of how it works, but uses a lot of 3G radio messages to command the phone into doing things. More importantly, as it is not based on CDMA technology it means you can implement The LTE spec without having to sell your kidneys to QualComm.

I may actually get one, but I will test drive my wife's first. I will likely wait to see what Blackberry 10 is like. I prefer to have a phone/PIM that actually works and isn't just a toy/music player/camera with a phone app.

The 5 looks great, but the 4s(my 1st iphone) has been so good and reliable that I can't justify upgrading it at this point.

The next iPad will be my next major personal tech purchase.

iMessage will let you text to others who have iMessage, and there's apps that let you text to phone numbers. It's good if you spend most of the time you need to text near a wireless router. Otherwise, not so good.

@Speed ump - That's true as far as fully self contained within the iPad, but you can also get a dedicated LTE router or use it with an lte phone that has router functionality built in. Of course, then you're walking around with chunky pockets. :D

Spent too much (not in my eyes) on vacation. I just might have to buy a new one. My 2 year old grandbaby can have this one. I may wait for the ipad 4 to come out. If I buy now it will be obsolete in 3 months!

We got our media sample, installed MW on it and it froze. Uninstalled it and gave it back to the reporter doing our review before he completely freaked out. It feels faster, cost isn't bad up here. Wonder if the iPad bug is what crapped the 5.

iPod smallllllll. iPad biiiiig. iPod 4gen is nice, but too dang small. Don't crash for me anymore. Could use a bit of a performance boost with lots of buildings and zoomed out to see better.

I have an HTC Rezound and want to get a stock ICS like nexus, but nexus chips sucks. Screen isn't a true white either. Want to get iPhone 5, but not big deal. I'd like both android and iOS.

I like the b,ackberry playbook, but it's slow as hell. Takes a few minutes to turn on!!!! A FEW MINUTES?????? Them bozos!!!! I don't use it much so I don't sleep it when I'm done. I barely use it. Ya, I have iPod touch 32gb retina screen. 2 of them. Bought one long ago. Then bought the other a couple months ago just for modern war lol. But ya I don't have crashes anymore. I can't remember the last time I had a crash. The betas are stable too. I've not had a beta version crash on me once. Never. Not on either my iPods or iPad 3.
