So being an almost "free player" since they axed the top 250 modifier has made me bored of these events.

However, after six events whereby my drop rate continued to decrease it finally saw an increase in the last event. I'm hoping to see another increase by the end of this event.

I've got a bug in mine, when they reset it from 250 players/25players to 100/10, it went 10/100. So, it says that the top 100 receive the Special Ops BMW and the top 10 receive the Cutthroat Mask (backwards), but the "you need # to reach the top 100", actually marks the top 10.

Doesn't matter to me, as I never come close to the top prizes, but I envision #11-100 being VERY disappointed!

I'm content to spend game cash only and the non-grenade prizes are usually still worthwhile. Actually, I think you are a "bone-headed fool" if you do not at least make an attempt the contests because the weapon drops are still worth more than $100*LV for most of us. I am blown away by how many the gold players buy, because I can't even get that many cases/crates, but higher level players recoup their energy faster.

In this particular event, it seems that the cash prizes have been reduced so that they barely cover the cash to open (although I have observed 2 levels of cash prize before). Also, though I haven't logged it, it seems as though I am getting more grenade cases per job, but less of them contain grenades, which would translate into more pressure to use gold to open them. If I were to spend gold on weapons, I think that buying lots of scratchers would be a better buy.

I think if there are many people have the same number of keys as top #250 players, they might give the prize for all of them. It does not cost them much anyway.

Don't let them play the lower levels , now rivalry list is a bit fixed , to avoid those campers ..
It is the most balanced of them all , and aside from cheaters , the game is quite fun .
Small time smack talk , rivalries and just fun taunt and jest , most people are not taking those serious yet.

It is the HL where it is a mess , but that is same as MW KA , where people cannot let go of there investment and rightfully so , I mean people invested enough time or money or anything else into this game.
So understandable they need to have some kind of fun or bullying .

Just need to let go of competition spirit for this game , if you do not have enough disposable income to spent .
Fight those at your own levels .

Just got grenade number 10 to receive the 2nd poxy item. Only my third time reaching 10 since system changed, so minor victory I suppose. Wish they'd bring back the old event system, where non-gold spenders had at least a reasonable chance of striking lucky.

Mine still says it is 250/25. I have 26 Shrapnels and according to the list, I am 4 ahead of the person/people in the top 250. Am I missing something? Will 26 be enough in the next hour and 52 minutes to stay in the top 250?

I am not a camper, and make WAY more money robbing people at this point. I pretty much utilize Thug Life and Hardcore missions and buy most of my gear with respect tokens. I have very few gold items, but I have bought some gold for events like this one. I just want to make sure I am going to be in the top 250. Someone mentioned it changed to 100/10???

It's just that the same exact thing happened to me in KA, I was spot 250 when the board froze iirc, and I took spot 252 with a top 250 prize.

I was hoping something similar would happen with this event. I was in the top 250 for the whole thing and I spent about 90 Tapjoy out of boredom. I fell off the top 250 right near the end and my 2nd last open had the grenade that landed me back on spot 250 when the board froze.

I want a boss event too last time made it to 15 did not have enough time I'm saving up gold for this event and I'm going for some sweet weapons

that's out of 72 opens over the 5 days. I gave up with 4-5 possible openings left when I saw the top 250 and a 6,000 cash not cover the cost of opening......

is the money option cost based on your level when the event starts and then rise $100 after opening x number crates?

Not trying to make this thread about the boss event but I love how strong the loot is. Not sure why but it puts the KA units you can get to shame. The KA rares are good but I've never got one :(

I barely got 15 grenades. I think the last crate I opened was one. Aside from that I got a lowrider, three cash awards, one respect award, a trick razor, a shotgun, and two bomb squad suits. Had a lot more time to play the event this time and paid middle option every time. Pretty happy with how it turned out, what with being a noob and not paying/playing with gold.

That's weird. I've got 25 as well but finished 233. I'm lvl 200 though. R u? Otherwise their tie breakdown. Is complete bs.
