Ok for starters, absolutely all credit goes to The Billionaire for this idea / table format. So if it helps you in anyway, he's the one who deserves the thanks :)

I've simply changed the names and values of all buildings to Kingdom Age obviously.

There are a lot less buildings in KA, but it's still handy to know which buildings will give you the best IPH. It can serve as a guide if anybody is unsure of what to upgrade next.

This descending style setup can be achieved through any of the various money spreadsheets available, but I find this easier to read when I'm on my iPhone.

This is solely based on strongest IPH, so if the quicker output buildings do not favor your play style, then it would be more beneficial for you to ignore them completely.

Nice post but it assumes you cash in an ideal way... Eg cottage every 3 minutes. The google doc which many of us use allows to take into account how much you cash per day. That changes your list for the majority of the players considerably.

Silo is very cheap for its income boost.
I think it would be much better/straightforward if you squeeze the chart a bit and put in the chain gold cost and chain time cost as well, nick. Thanks for the work!

Seeing this makes me double think about how I upgraded my Silos and Taverns to 10 (since they are way down there on the list), but oh well it was still worth it lol.

The list also doesn't take into account construction time - the IPH of a building may not look hot, but if it only takes a quarter of the time to get there you are better off building the lower building first (so for eg the bakery has 480 IPH but takes 7.46 days to build, while the brothel has 1300 IPH but takes 32.42 days to build) Of course the google spreadsheet also allows finer grained decisions.

I'll see what I can do Shawn, if I can get the time then I'll try to.

In fact, thinking about this now, I'm probably giving people the wrong impression about certain buildings. IPH may make certain buildings look "bad" (eg; Silo). But it's still worthwhile to upgrade, especially in early game.
It's Chain cost for Lv.10 is $55,975 which is very reasonable. Also, ROI is 13.5 days, which is quite good for a starter building as it quickly pays for itself.

Shawn made a great suggestion of including chain gold cost and chain time cost, is there anything else that you guys think should be included that you deem important?
I certainly don't want to give people a bum steer with this table.

It does suggest that there was some thought put into the whole building set-up by the developers. The buildings with short upgrade times, low costs and good ROI arent as productive as the others once built and upgraded.

The strategy of first doing the high ROI buildings is still valid even though ultimately they are not as productive at end game as the others.

Stating the obvious here but short of buying lots of gold with real world money, I would find it hard to believe many people can realistically bring their manors to level 10. There was previous post by another forumite (apologies, I can't remember who to credit), who highlighted that if you could collect 15 times a day, the merchant caravans at the level which pays out $1000+ per hour would actually give you a better return than the level 1 manor. That did make me pause.

Yeah would definitely take some real money spent, or hardcore camping + saving for 3 months straight lol. I'm looking at the spreadsheets, but a lvl 6 Merchant Caravan gives you 1100 per hr. So yeah, collect from that MC even 7 times a day and that's more $$ than a lvl 1 Manor.

Collect from a lvl 10 MC 9 times a day, and that's more income than a lvl 3 Manor as well...

(3,300 * 9) = 29,700 for the Lvl 10 MC.

Compared to (52,500 / 2) = 26,250 per day for the Lvl 3 Manor.

Just the last level is 25 million, or $2,500 real world money given there is no way they are actually saving that in-game. Heck total gold cost is 62 million. And yes, people have actually done it.

Actually, it's even better. A level 1 Manor you collect every 48 hours. A merchant caravan you can collect 15 times in 24 hours, so it's more like a level 2 Manor. At their max output, 3000/hour, they are a force to be reconed with.

no hack. The dude is in royal knights and has 50k+ iph. He is quite a nice fellow too.

Hi people, interesting information but you have to take into account: upgrade timings and costs, rate of collection etc.

@Nick-Clark1: could you also add in the total upgrade times and costs too?

Merchant caravans are great but take really long to upgrade once you go high in the upgrade levels.

That said, I do need to find a set of buildings as a goal to get to level 10. Any recommendations besides the level 10 manor?

Indeed, there are a couple of important factors. The one bothering me, right now is upgrade time.
But the table is perfect as it is. Everyone interested can find the google sheets.

I have 2 level 10 merchant caravans and collect under 10 times daily during events and much less after. 6000/hr is nice however it took a long time to get there not to mention the crazy upgrade costs. Without level 10 lumber mill would have taken much longer, imo. They help pay for the 60 blizzard staffs and 53 astral bows, so far.

And, no, getting into some crazy auction to buy such a unit for $3000+ is beyond my budget! :)

I don't see it as that big of a benefit unless it will collect unattended. If you have to get on your device, open KA and manually do something to activate collection then it's basically the same as tapping to collect as normal - or am I missing something?

Hey guys,

Nick just sent me the link to this thread so i could check out his work. Kudos Nick!

I've been having a read and noticed that some of you are asking for a number of things to be added. I just wanted to give you some background into why i created the original thread.

I have my own personal goals within the game and i like to get pairs of buildings levelled up to 10. Therefore i might pick 3 different buildings to focus my upgrade time on. Priority number one will be the building with the biggest IPH increase which will tend to have the longest and most expensive upgrades. Priority number 2 and 3 will be the buildings with cheaper and shorter upgrade cost and time. I would upgrade these whilst saving for the expensive priority one upgrades.

Obviously this kind of chart helps me pick which buildings to focus my upgrades on. Unfortunately i don't play KA so can't offer any advice with regards to buildings.

This chart was purely to see which buildings are going to increase my IPH the most once they are at level 10. Therefore upgrade cost and time doesn't really need to be added and i'm guessing that kind of information is already logged in a spreadsheet somewhere.

Obviously buildings that collect in 1 hour or less look better than they actually are on this table because you don't make every collection unless you have insomnia.

Anyway nice work Nick but i'm off because there's money in my hood that needs collecting :D

I'm not sure why the MCs get a lot of attention on the board but not the bazaar. So much cheaper with shorter upgrade times, and collection on the same cycle. In my econ it seems to be the most productive building (can't prove that). Yes MC outperforms it at the upper levels, but it takes a long time and lots of $ to get to the crossover point.

I think they are just mainly used as a reference ... I prefer the 12/24/48 buildings a whole lot more.

I've got two of each at level 10. MC lvl 10 have 4x the output of bazaar lvl 10. Most people mention MC because it is not an easy task to get them to max upgrade.
