Boss event and my spare 100million

Im got a quick question for you guys so here goes.

Im at level 36(almost37) got really good stats for my level, the last boss event i got to 23/30 just using free/cash hits, since then iv increased my raw attack by around 3k so i think that would be enough to do another 3/4 boss's.
i have been saving up for my 7-8 oil rig upgrade which is 156mil for me, and i have saved up 95mil so far, and i was considering spending it all on viper jets which have an attack of 27 and defence of 24 and cost 1.2mil, i bought a test one and it added 15 to my attack, so ill probably increase my attack by another 1000-1500 if i spend all of my cash on them.

my other option is to wait it out until my airfield is at level 10, its currently upgrading from 7-8 with 80hours left, so by the time the next boss appears i should have it at 10. Then buy loads of b52's (30A/17D) for 1million. but we dont know how the boss event is going to change between now an then e.g even more levels.

what's everybody think??

Unless I thought buying the vipers now was going to get me within doable range for the top prize for the current event, and I really wanted the top prize, I'd wait for the b52s. Not only do you get 3 extra attack per unit, but 100,000,000 will buy 17 more b52s.

You can't go wrong going for the upgrade, but I understand the goal of strengthening your position for the boss events.

If you had B-52's i would say dump it all into them as i think that would give you a great return on the Boss. (Remember that Money won't do anything for you once your army is maxed out anyways and getting Rares and the top prize would be a great way to cover your 2000 troops coverage)

With that being said i wouldn't buy Viper Jets and would either keep saving until oil Rig can be bought or save until you can buy 200+ B52s

Thanks for the info guys, I'll upgrade my oil rig then, I should have the 150mil in a few more days anyway and I'll wait it out until i have unlocked the b52's and until we have figured out theses new style boss events!

I'm going to disagree with the responses on here. I'd go for the bosses first.

Don't understand rushing to upgrade all the time. There's always going to be time to upgrade, but how the boss events play out, we will never know, so I'd take whatever chances are there right now. You can always save for upgrades later. Not so sure about getting Vipers though. But if that's the best available combination of attack score and money, then go for it. I wouldn't add all at once though. Just add units when you need them.

Your ultimate MW goal will be to have as many high value units as possible; either cash or event. If you can pick up units in an event that are better than the best cash units, Stealth Bomber and Aircraft Carrier, then those units will more than likely be in your final 2000 when that day comes; and unlike the SB and AC they will be indestructible. Those two units lost in battle will set you back 9m. I'd take a chance with the money available and try and increase the number of "Indy" units you have. Of course this is all down to the luck of the draw with bosses. You could in theory end up with all common units.

It's your move.

@james - tough decision, if the boss was still only 30 kills then it would be a no brainier for me to agree with AZ on this one. Go for the indestructible units whenever possible. You could have a $2M iph and never be able to in game cash purchase units with better stats. Considering it looks like the 35 boss prize will be out of reach without spending gold, then I would be a little less inclined to completely dump your stash on VJs than will not be in your battle list at some point.

While it sounds like they would only increase your attack stats by 8...if you were making it to 23 on the last boss that might make a huge difference. On top of that you can buy 6:1 over the Jets for a potential Increase of 48 points? Also note that boost buildings DO seem to make a difference on this boss!

In my experiences with previous bosses boss 20 has less than half the strength of boss 30. So unless you think you can get to boss 32 with only cash hits currently, I don't think adding an extra 3,000-4,500 onto your 14,000 will do the trick.

Currently 13x14,000= 182,000
New. 13x18,500= 240,500
Increasing your number of hits by roughly 4. So really you're only getting one free gold hit on each boss.

James - as a player with the British flag, you should be looking at sea units. This boss seems easier for me(level 140), yet I am not a good example because I go up by 10-15k attack and a few levels in between boss events. The boss end prize is worth it for everyone, but I wouldn't spend the entire stash on units. Spend only what puts you over the top for the next boss. The final boss has an attack of 1100. How many VP's would it take to equal the difference of each VP added to your inventory? The added attack will be less gradual as they begin replacing better units taken to battle. The Desert Rat will instantly become most people's top unit. Go for the boss.

Also keep in mind that others do go for the boss and will be able to rob you blind after the event, with their new unit.

Really, at where you are in the game I would shift my focus to these boss events for a while. Say 70-30 attack-IPH increase. Having indestructibles in battle is PRICELESS to a free player.

thanks for the input guys, im gunna see how for i can get without buying anything and see what my options are then.
iv just done boss 8 with 4 free hits, iv got 5 commons and 3 uncommons so far. i might just use this boss as a tester and the go all out on the next one, i dont really want to use any gold tho.
