So does anyone know the casualty rate of hydras, dragons and steam tanks please? Just seeing which way I want to go next.

Hydra: 40a / 36d - Very Low - 0.002
Dragon: 70a / 43d - Very Low - 0.001
Steam Tank: 35a / 37d - Very Low - 0.0025

As you can see, the Beast route seems to be the best route to go as the Steam Tank has the same value as the Hydra but lower stats.

remember that the modifiers for beasts with the "new stats" is much higher than machines. :)

Thanks mav that certainly helps. Beasts all the way then. Glad they're all very low as they are certainly expensive.

It seems crazy to me that you don't get bonuses for certain units depending on your race like you do in MW for your country. Surely everyone ends up with the same units eventually don't they?

yes. loot, gem spend, and events are the differentiators.
