Question about gem buying & value

I have never purchased any gems so far in this game. Currently in the boss event I have him down ~22 times I think...and haven't yet gone past 10 hits. Guessing I can get him down using gold 3 more times or so. So, for probably 50-60 gems (figuring one potion per boss for 26-30, maybe 2 on the last), I could get the Lich, which is I think ~1K/1K unit.

For those of you who've purchased gems before, does this seem like good value - would you do this...or just top out in the mid 20s and stay in freezone.

Without a doubt go for 30! If you was buying an LE item with those stats it would cost much more than 10x that amount.

A safe estimate is to at least double the amount of gems you use for each progressive boss (it will take 50-100% more). If you do try, stock up on a lot of gold before hand and use the Cure Potion/3 gold hit option. It's the cheapest gem amount but will become very expensive in gold usage (You will lose gold each boss). Good luck to ya!

@getiton, does the cure potion not give you a new full health bar? I assumed I could hit him 5 more times if I spent 10 gems on the potion.

Cure Potions - wait 1 min - then 3 Gold hits.

If you do that twice you basically get a 6x attack for 20 gems Vs. the 4x Gem attack for 25 gems. The trade-off is that this method eats up a lot of Gold.

@Ssne. A Cure Potion only gives you 50 health back.
