Yesterday I decided to remove some my low-level allies I added during the boss events. I removed one guy at level 7. Since I visited him before I removed him I stayed on his kingdom and checked his stats. He had over 600k on gold at level 7.

Now the little devils started swirling in my head. Should I attack him or not? He was just my ally. Without removing him as an ally he would otherwise never have appeared on my rival list.

What would you have done????

Can you attack him that way? Im pretty sure when i visited an allie then i removed him i cant still attack him.

But if you can do it :)

Never tried it on KA but in MW if you visit an allies base and then remove him you still can't attack him. Give it a try but I doubt it will work.

Not a forum member, not a Forum Knight, and no personal connection like having conversed with him regularly, then I would say go ahead if you can. It's common practice to add and delete allies for various reasons. But how on earth did he have 600k at level 7? Just be careful if this is a gem buyer or a gem buyer's LLP account. You may get visited by a much stronger brother ....

Big brother is a good point. 600k just hanging out there is hard to resist though, especially if you need something to push you towards an expensive upgrade.

Those were all things that rushed through my mind. That player was not a gem player, I checked. He had only a handful of money and unit buildings but they were all level 10.

It looked too weird for me, on the other hand the prospect of getting a lot in gold was very enticing.

At the end I did not attack him, not even tried. But I was pondering several minutes...

In my RL, I have a conscience and try to abide by it. So this thread got me thinking. How far is too far in KA? I'm at level 35. I like to raid level 10 silos. Every other day, one will get stupid and try to attack or raid me back. Most of these players don't seem to log in to collect, so checking my newsfeed I raid their silos again and again. Curious if others have a KA conscience or do you take them for all their worth? I thought if this is a card game and I have four of a kind I'm going to play it. I also thought if one left me a message something like "I bow down to you master I beg you not to attack me again but become my ally." I would oblige. Or do you reply just grin and bear it?

I have a couple people in my newsfeed that I pillage regularly. I think the one guy has given up. Sometimes it makes me feel bad, but when you consistently carry $40k in unvaulted gold and you attack someone with 2x your A/D numbers - putting you on their newsfeed regularly - it's kinda your own fault.

Hi Guido... the little devils were misleading you

Just to let you know... you cannot visit an ally, remove them from your ally list, and attack while you are still in their kingdom. The only way you can attack a former ally is to remove them, leave their kingdom, find them on your rival list or news feed, and then you can attack/raid. I think, at your level (88 right?), it would be impossible to see a level 7 on your rival list.

It can be a difficult issue and decision to make sometimes. It depends on many things. E.g. and that is just one point, if I see a weak player who spent real money to buy gems and units/other items, I have real difficulties leveling his kingdom. If I don't see any real money being put into the kingdom (as fas as one can tell) I have much less scruples.

I usually raid "only" two buildings from one kingdom at once and then move on to another. Keeps my conscience soothed.

No such crises of conscience here - if a player doesn't build their stats and also doesn't collect in a timely manner, I have no problem looting all worthwhile building. With only 6 stamina I have had to camp on a kindom to finish my looting and pillaging. This is a game of sword and scocery battle as well as buiding a kingdom - sometime players need to be reminded of that. I am frequently amazed to find players with only enough weapons and armor to equip a fraction of their army/allies. In CC and MW I expect to be looted if I don't collect buildings on time - though I usually pm unallied friends to "collect" for me - would rather be looted by a friend than a random or enemy.

As long as the casualty rate isnt too bad then turn their lights out. I'll take everything worthwhile even if it means camping on their base while I go make some tea and food while my stamina generates back up.

I must admit that I would have viewed it exactly opposite to yourself if those were the only considerations. Since its so much easier for a gem buyer to replenish and he has less to lose, I would be more inclined to show mercy to the free player who had struggled to reach that point. But overall, I agree with JB that free or gem buyer doesn't make a lot of difference since raiding/PvP is part of the game. What would be bad form is to take offence and be stingy about calling truces/ showing mercy if requested. The latter behaviour is just bullying and I've never found that a nice thing in real or virtual life.

Well said echus - I follow that same train of thought. If a target nicely requests an alliance I will either comply or at least stop pillaging them. It is funny how many never respond at all. There is one player around my level that has 2 lvl 6 wineries that I seem to hit non-stop. I have left several nice messages on their wall complementing them on their wonderful wine and expressing that it is my army's most favorite spot to stop off as I pillage the countryside (I may "turn the lights of a kingdom off" as Bronson would say but I try to be polite about it. I'm mean pounding another kingdom into the stone age is no reason to be rude) but nary a peep. After weeks of hitting them I would ally them if requested but . . .<crickets chirping>

The_Red

While I understand it is good to be nice to people vs completely pillaging their
kingdoms, if you're going to make allies with a bunch of low level players
who are good people to loot from you're taking away from players who are
likely to attack you and taking away chances to loot from others.

Edit: perhaps Im just at a stage of the game where the 500 allies seems light
to fit in all the heavy gem players to protect oneself, so Ive become more
sensitive with who I am allies with.

Joe Brown1
08-30-2012, 12:34 PM
I tend to be particular about who I accept as allies but if I have been pounding someone with a fraction of my stats relentlessly and they are nice about requesting relief I will at least try to back off - at least for awhile;)

I shake them down for every penny, until they request an alliance nicely. Every now and then, I am extra nice to a random one and give advice instead of milking them. I actually made one gem player quit because the guy cussed me out for attacking him and then I just squeezed him relentlessly for two whole weeks. Next thing I know, he sold all his building and quit. I happened to see his account just as he did it, so I got about 80 percent of the money from it.

I decided to institute a KA stupidity tax. The guy I raided yesterday is half my stats; When he logged into his account, he rebuilt his kingdom and tried to attack me. Based on the newsfeed, I knew the exact time his kingdom was ready for raiding. I'm waiting on him to rebuild again and then I will know what time tomorrow to institute the next stupidity tax.

Someone who just tried raiding me a couple of hours ago and failed, has TWO level 10 MANORS.

That said, with no supporting evidence, isn't it likely he is a cheater?
People are willing to spend for sure, but most big spenders spend to get really nice gem units, cool rewards, they will pay over the odds for those. but 2 level 10 manors seems whack. the upgrade timing, coupled with the gold? to purchase gems for upgrading when you can get that shiny little cool unit in the window?

I got lucky and was able to time to the minute when this other guys 2 lvl 10 manors popped . I was a menace all over those things. Theres pics in the "Lets see those kingdoms" thread. Even when he collected on the dot, it put him over vault automatically and I could attack him for 70-80k before he spent some. LoL Sadly he was a camper and I leveled up out of his range. I could never understand how he spent 125 million gold on them but only had a above average army...

The_Legend_Shall_Live_On
08-31-2012, 07:22 AM
I agree. I was planning on figuring out how to hit the manors. I would have raided then and there, but he already collected and spent the manors, or they just weren't ready to be collected.

Man - all he has to do is collect them twice and he could have 1000 HPs. Then he wouldn't have to worry about his defense. Then twice more and have 1000 basilisks (since he won't be spending 1.8m gold on HPs from the first purchase and can leave unvaulted gold).

Oh well. Wish me luck! I want to get some of that gold even once.

25M for the L10 would be alot of spend.

Sounds to me like osmeone cheated with a 2nd character and that person is farming the account from their primary character.
