Just worked it out, from last event, to get the 500th item you may need say 18 parts (going from the last one) that would be 1900 gold, 1900 gold for a 105/219 item and a 225/337, seriously, I'd rather LE sets. LE sets are less annoying when you get 1782368168263818236 sorries in a row.

At this time it may work like this. If you were on the old leaderboard and you have not succesfully opened any boxes yet you will still be there. Once you succesfully open a box, you are kicked out an be placed at the bottom as your name cant be twice on the leaderboard. This is just a theory of course.

Lol yeah the top 500 prize is a recycled common crate item. And the top 50 prize has been a common in previous Boss Events, along with a crate item as well. Lazy bastards, all the money coming in from their 3 games and they can't put developers to work on creating new event units lol. At the bare minimum, creating unique prizes for the top 50/500 shouldn't be much trouble. At least they didn't recycle a unit for the no. 1 overall prize.

Wait if your Germany it's a 20% boost to ground + the catalyst tank is 30% increase then if they fix the invisible bear that's 80% boost (if the bear gets fixed and I can't remember if the bear is a 20% or 30% boost either way that's kinda nice

I usually get most of my crates/boxes from pvp. Also helps keep the level jumping down. But you lose lots of units

To get event containers from PvP, the other player needs to actually have some on hand. They're initially generated by jobs. So at the beginning of an event, there's a period where getting them from other players is going to be rare since no one has any yet (not to say you shouldn't attack people and try, just that scoring them from PvP becomes more likely towards the end of an event).

EDIT: Also it depends on what level you are and how active the players you are attacking are, because more active players are more likely to have the items.

Double-edit: Also, the leaderboard is fixed now and showing the people who are supposed to be on it.

If I'm searching for crates early in an event through PvP, I attack the players with the highest rank (under the assumption they play more than a Private does -- not foolproof, but a generalization).

Very early on (day 1 or so), I look for the events from the previous event in their top 45 -- an indicator that they at least played the last event. Just give them a love tap and scan their top 45. If I see a unit from the last event, I'll give them a few more taps to see if a crate is gained.

Once the event gets going, I look for the first unit prize from the event. If I see it, I hammer 5-6 attacks out in a row to see what happens. If I get a crate, I keep hammering till I run out of stamina.

Just my 2 cents on how to find crates. I don't like searching for the with PvE since it causes me to level up too quickly.

Keep in mind CJ's comment about the players level is just an assumption that the higher the level, the more the person does PvE and PvP, which means they're more likely to have crates. (Sorry CJ -- I can see people misunderstanding your comment and freaking out thinking low-level players aren't given as many crates.)

This event sucks. Ugly units, with weak stats, with a fake boost, recycled units....Just everything about it is lame. I really think the 10 part item should have been swapped with the top 50 item, atleast it looks like an offensive unit, rather then a transport helicopter.

My "go to" is the Advanced Destroyer on the Naval Map. 370 energy x 2 hits. Pays 189-623k and drops about 30-40% of the time in my experience. Downside is the 112 XP each hit.

Once you collect a few dozen crates, let me know what level and ally count you are and I'll see if my HLP or LLP can attack you and I can steal them. ;)

I am pretty sure I read the following somewhere but not 100% certain:

When trying to get crates to drop doing PVE.. The higher the energy amount used the more likely you are to get a drop. It has to do with a relationship or percentage based on your total individual energy. For example my energy is 1570 total. If I try to hit low level maps ... My chance of getting a drop is very slim. I get much more frequent drops if I hit targets that require above 100-200 energy units.

Yes, there are too many "new" names I do not remember seen before in the top 50

also Fess, you have to think that the way GREEd seem to do things, do not be surprise if some of those "players" are actually employees (or GREEd accounts) posting as players just to increase the gold spending, perhaps not to the top 10, but to those in the last 20 spots of the top 50, those are the ones that want to stay in the race, and it is easy to have GREEd accounts participating just to manipulate you guys into spending more gold

GREEd do not really have any credibility on the way the do the events, to much "manipulation" in theleaderboard, numbers of parts needed, box drop rate, box open rate, they keep getting worse and worse (the call this "bugs" and are traying to fix them, just like the "fixed" the bear boost that remains "invisible" but "working"

PS: KA AUCTIONS may be coming to an end, players have "stop" using gems in the current event, wildstallion only has 165 compasses for about the last 2 days, when he usually end with over 300, all other players, also know that they canot beat him, thus they all seem to just get enough parts to stay in top 25, then stop

Another thing that comes to mind is the following. If i continue to do this, and with me a few others, would that not quickly lead to a totally unbalanced game?

Ferr - at the end money will dominate the game. It is without any doubt that someone who can afford to spend all the $ and get gold. This kind of event imo will create an unbalance structure among players at what ever level you are (i guess specially at whale territory)... the (major) gold players are the only one's that will have units with special abilities giving them far more advantage against to light and non-gold players alike. In the past, with the 10 items event, this gave fair chance for light and non-gold players to supplement their destructible units with units that has special abilities. This opportunity is now gone.

In addition, now that non-gold players will (can) not participate in this type of event, another opportunity that provided balance in the game is also lost... the distribution of high A/D units. They loss the opportunity on attaining another high A/D unit. In the long run non-gold players will need to stay at lower levels to avoid being obliterated. No matter how strong their economy is would be economically impossible to replenish destructible units fast enough against indestructible at higher level.

Edit: I think manbeast comment on another thread supplement exactly what I am trying to point out regardig the importance of the 10 event price for everyone specially with light/non-gold players

one of the leaders board folks from the last is in my level area and occasionally pops up. a few days before the end of the last event this person has 40-something. excluding these units, which i'd assume to be all gold opens, this person had very very low stats. even with the 5 units from just finishing with 25+, their stats are well under half of the folks that appear to be cash only at the same level/allies. it is just interesting to watch.

also, ran into a person that has spend for the crate edition, full set.

i guess if you enjoy it enough, it is worth the cash! fortunately, my wife control's the pod/pad+apple account+house finances. and the kid consumes all the free $$$.

Okay, so here's what happened: Two sets of data got mushed together last night (the event, and an Android-only event). That caused people to start getting the wrong token type at the last minute.

Here's what I see happening. The drop rates for the people at the 10-30 spot decrease at the same time the rates for the 30-50 spot increase. On two separate occasions I've seen the bottom line of the top 50 increase by 9-12 in the matter of a four or five hours. You should see a gradual increase in the bottom line and occasionally one or two players get that many blueprints and move themselves up the ladder. But for the 50th position to increase from lets say 65-75 in four hours that means an entire group of players has to be getting an increase in their drop rate. What does this do? It gives them a chance to stay or get to the top 50 and makes those (other than the top 10 or 15) feel the pressure of falling out of the top 50. At this point everyone who is there has invested too much to just stop so what will they do. Get more gold to open more crates. I am 100% that the drop rates are being changed by the powers that be within Gree.

My rate was exponentially better on the last day of the last event. That was one of my biggest complaints about this style of event. I used gold the first two days and they were dropping like 10%, then the last day it jumped to 40-50%. Everyone using gold noticed it. Altering the odds during the event is total BS.

Now see 750g is a lot to me. And wouldn't be worth it for a 200/300 stat ground unit. But idk... Now I need 9 to catch up. I've had nothing but sorrys all day long.

Yeah I don't think this ground unit is worth the gold. Last event the stats were way better, but probably because it was top 250 then. Last event I think top 250 ended at 32ish parts??? So we shall see where this top 500 ends at...

I was on cash open all the way to 17 & used at least 150 gold for 18, 19, & 20 blue prints...now i ran out of gold. i don't think i'll make it with cash open from now with 1hr & 48m left to go... maybe next time when the top 500 is air unit, i'll do it all the way to stay safe like you... Two things, the rise in my total attack mirrored what the two prizes add up to. Also, when doing an attack, the illuminati Heli(830 attack) still shows up before the fusion APC(910 attack). I am Russia so the Heli gets a boost, but the 20% added to the fusion APC should put it ahead.

What I meant by better off using the HLP than your LLP if you are gunning for the top 500 is that if you are on the top 500 (and worst the lower percentile of the low 500) you can easily be booted out by a player who holds the same amount of item who has a higher level than you. Unless you distance your self from the 500th spot.

Also, how can you tell the level of those at the top 500 and who they are... more interested on the last 10 players of the top 500 and their stats. I guess away for me t o gauge if I should push for it.

As for the top prize carrying the 30% boost....Could you imagine if these boost actually worked. Ferr is Germany so add 10%, plus boost building, plus bear boost (30% I think), plus these two (20% & 30%). Thats crazy.

I elected to go after top 500, out of boredom. Mostly just went for 25 for the unit, then figured why not add a couple to get the FUGLY bike.

i had 23 blue prints with 2.5 hrs left. no gold, just medium opens. had a really good day yesterday. went from like 15 to 23 in 18 attempts.

with 2.5 hrs left i had 31 gold. did a tapjoy offer (popular science magazine, 1 yr subscription for $12) got 30 more gold. with 60 gold, i decided to go for 25. i'm UK, so i really wanted that ship (and it made me feel safe about being in top 500). did 3 resets and 3 cash opens. got 2 blue prints and 1 grunt. putting me at 25. i was happy. did 1 more cash open at the end and got another blue print putting me at 26.

i'm really disappointed with the graphics of the bike. it should have been the weak unit you get for collecting 5 parts. the super sonic pegasus is a way more legit unit than this stupid bike. oh well, stats are stats. glad to have it for only 45 gold (and a lot of work for 4 days watching the clock lol)

Main prize has, as usual, not been dispatched and Boosts not working indeed. Ridiculous of course but it is the least of my problems. Much worse is the apparent overall corruption and low quality standard of the game itself. If the list of obvious hackers is the top of the iceberg only, the amount of more subtile hackers is huge. I am receiving very disturbing mails, been hacked directly by numerous players and it has been made very clear to me that growing without spending is massively being done by non-noticable hacking. Many have adviced me to stop spending and/or boycot gold purchases to induce gree to fix or patch these things and get the game to a quality level which fits the amount of spending that is being done by us gamers. It is to my regret that i must conclude that such confidence that they will be able to lift the game is proven unfounded. The list of issues grows faster than they can repair. This all combined with shamefull communication (or better non communication) makes it one, if not the worst investment i ever made. Once i am done being angry with myself rest assure i will focus my anger differently. I will provide my e mail address as a first step for information and for those who wish to join. Yours, Ferr.
