*** I decided to say 'F it' and try a gold open with gold I got from Tapjoy. There was a huge lag before I was given the "cannot connect" message. Strangely and not unexpectedly, the 15 gold was still deducted from my total, and the $22k I just collected from my ML doubled to $44k. At this point I was not about to keep pressing the gold button because I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened. So I tapped the cash option. The same thing happened, lag then could not connect, but my cash/gold on hand didn't change. I tried a third time to open the freaking box, and finally I got... A Hitman's Sniper Rifle. Not impressed, but the box did open, and I did intentionally (this time) tap the gold option, so I can't complain. I closed the game at this point, forgetting to bank what was left of the cash I had ($4k). I went back into the game to bank that, thinking to myself at this point that I paid the 15 gold and 2x $20k, so all three attempts did cost me. After banking I decided to check the leader board and I was very surprised to see that my number of total Rims had increased by 1. Looks like I got 3 quick attempts and at least 2/3 opened, the first one (HSR), the extra Rim, and one misc. I don't know what happened with the third box, or if it even opened at all.

So being an almost "free player" since they axed the top 250 modifier has made me bored of these events.

With my drop rate getting lower and lower as each boring events passes i wonder will we ever see another PvP or robbery tournament? I doubt it which leaves me no option but to plod along with this event and hope my drop rate reaches at least 15%.

I'm only 3 rims off top 250 but I have 3 to open. I used gold once by earning all the offers and using it once but still, tough to get plenty of crates at low lvls.

I just paid with money then and failed. Hopefully 2nd time after the next hour passes would let me use 1 of my 3.

Also, gets hard to earn enough when ppl are using so much gold to speed their way through to outdo everyone.

Sorry it is the envy , that you cannot compete that is now bothering people .

Let say with just 20 vault without bonus , the new crates+old crates gave my 135 maffia 30-40k end game stats .
(am discounting event items and free epic boss farming) .

Can only see powercreep doing much beter later on , just keep playing if you have fun .
Play at your own pace !
Now if you don't spent you need to really use camping and scratcher cards .
That is the only viable tactic left for free players , scratcher items and camping for scratcher items .

I just wished the items worked faster than they come out. Seems like theres an event every week. I'm still waiting for my Grand Prix Racer (defense increase to work) and my Modern War Assault Bear (2 months and counting) and Fusion APC (Upgrade 2 buildings at a time) to work ~ Just to name a few :mad:

The events are coming out so fast, even if someone had the money, they have no time to play!

I´m more concerned about the stats those items gives than being envious actually.
I am more concerned about unbalancing the game with the rate these events are given and how much more the rewards each time.

You´re right that the free gamers should play this game very slowly to be able to compete with others.

Did anyone else notice the BLNT screen says gold opens are guaranteed to give you a rim? That explains the inflation of the top 25. No more 15 gold for $10k for you gold spenders.

Same here, the Black Market Rim drop rate on this event is shocking. I'm just glad i'm not trying to get that number 1 spot. Must be costing Maxx a fortune with this cr8ppy drop rate.

Anyway i couldn't care less about this type of event anymore. I've barely spent any gold on these style events since they did away with the top 250 modifier. I use to easily spend between one and two vaults of gold on every event that got released.

So, what's the bracket from 81-?? I assume if you're 140 it can't start until 141 or above.. I remember seeing the brackets in a post somewhere, but I've been through so many posts on here.. May be impossible to dig back up. If anyone knows the brackets off the top of their head, it would be much appreciated if it's posted here.

Edit: I only found one thread with level brackets in it, and it showed 81+ as being the final bracket. Damn I hope this isn't true..

5 rims now but still 5 more. I did lose some due to robberies that ppl had done plus I discovered something out of the ordinary between the rooted and factory androids.

Rooted android phones/tablets can use certain apps to get around the game easier but factory ones cannot. Ppl can speed up the energy increasement rate & the wait for the next crate/vault (instead of paying gold) so they can open them sooner. All they have to do is set the game's speed for their gain. Ios is different, they only need to jailbreak them and then edit an certain file. I cannot reveal further than that but hopefully something Gree has to look into to prevent such methods in events.

From what I experienced, it's quite all true. I was an former one myself but ever since the day I was using FB, I don't tend on using such things.

I was only pointing out the obvious reason as into why some have like 300+ rims already when those are really hard to get the normal way unless of course you can gather that many in just 1 day of play.

Something weird happened about 20 minutes ago (and only just now I am wondering if it's somehow exploitable). I decided to say 'F it' and try a gold open with gold I got from Tapjoy. There was a huge lag before I was given the "cannot connect" message. Strangely and not unexpectedly, the 15 gold was still deducted from my total, and the $22k I just collected from my ML doubled to $44k. At this point I was not about to keep pressing the gold button because I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened. So I tapped the cash option. The same thing happened. Huge lag followed by "could not connect", but my cash/gold on hand didn't change. I tried a third time to open the freaking box, and finally I got... A Hitman's Sniper Rifle. Not impressed, but the box did open, and initially I did tap the gold option intentionally (this time), so I can't complain. I closed the game at this point, forgetting to bank what was left of the cash I had ($4k). I went back into the game to bank that, now thinking to myself that I paid the 15 gold and 2x $20k, so all three attempts did cost me. After banking I decided to check the leader board and I was very surprised to see that my number of total Rims had increased by 1. Looks like I got 3 quick attempts and at least 2/3 opened, the first one (HSR), the extra Rim, and one misc. I don't know what happened with the third box, or if it even opened at all. Oh well. That was weird though.

You're lucky. I did open by gold twice, both times server disconnected and I could not find out what I got, maybe junk items or maybe nothing at all (because it not connect to server but still subtract the gold).

I emailed Funzio to ask for the gold back and they returned them to me.

That has happened to me too. It was many months ago though. I won't need to submit a ticket this time since I'm guessing the Rim came from the gold open, only I never saw that or the result from the second attempt that failed to connect. The only open I saw was the last one after my cash was taken and the game was back to normal. Just didn't update in game until I closed/re-opened. That happens sometimes so that isn't what is unusual. The rest of what happened, now that's unusual.

Hard to say I had 7-8 before this event ended. I had none of my 28 opened by Cash, damn gree's mid-range odds. I hopefully want to see something like an auto level gold increasement of 1 gold per level up.
