I think it takes time to roll out through the various servers. I have attacked when I saw it in the folder but could not spark a boss event. I wait until the splash screen shows up and once that arrives, I get a boss when I attack.

I usually try and trigger a boss using the 1xp mission on the first map. But sometimes it takes a while for the event to reach everyone. I usually don't use my energy or stamina to trigger a boss until I get the splash screen on start up. I've noticed, my odds at least, are slim to none at triggering a boss if it only appears in my goals list and the splash screen isn't popping up.

Drone, my experience is you have to wait till the splash screen appears before you can generate one.

After this do a reset and then after hitting a PVE target if it still doesn't trigger then select your base and go back to it, that is sometimes all that is needed.

As an aside the splash screen still isn't up for me.

How does the boss work? Is it a set amount of attack/HP based on your level?

For example I am on level 50.. Will I be fighting a weaker boss than someone on level 200?

Second would it be worth it to increase attack or defense for fighting the boss?

Third and most importantly, I have almost 100k valor should I blow that all in order to increase my attack and kill the boss or will the boss HP increase proportionately?

The reason I was saving is because I wanted to fully upgrade my infirmary before purchasing valors

best way to beat bosses is to max out your allies for your level and raise your attack as much as possible. The boss at level 50 will be easier than the boss at level 200, but may still be difficult depending on your attack stats

I can never get past the 14th or 15th boss. I have good stats I think for level 67. Around 22k/30k. Is there a trick to it or are my stats not as good as I think. I find very few people at my level better than mine. Is gold mandatory to go beyond half way in boss killing. Any advice is appreciated.

What level are you manbear? Current attack and allies? If you can double your attack, it will be worth doing it.

There is a direct association between level and boss strength.
There are several "step points" from what I can see where the boss strength jumps, they are most likely linked to certain buildings and units becoming available.
This event is currently appearing to be easier than the previous one for my LLP (my HLP on the iPad still hasn't gotten it).
Based on Ferr's level 200 data he posted in one of the earlier events my level 43 player is facing an opponent 1/60th as strong as his was. This is odd as in the previous event it was closer to 1/40th the strength.
This event is heavily favoured for the lower level players, think my LLP is currently at level 9 and taking 3 hits to defeat the elite, my level 162 player will not be able to do this in 15 hits even though it has an attack strength around 7 times my LLP and well over twice the unit density.

thats the only boost building. I am using primarily fighter jets along with about 35 of each valor unit. Also just killed boss 6 for 6 commons in a row |:)

Do you have the expert attack drones yet? Or just hardened marines? See how far you can get using the 13 hit method. If it takes you to level 15, then you could use less then 500 gold to win. If you used all the valor, you would cut the amount of gold in half, but you would be wasting the valor. If you elect to use the valor, I would buy all super hornets, which would last you quite a while. Also, once you progress to level 125ish, you could easily collect another 500-600k in valor, so it's not a big deal to use it up now.

Manbearpig08, you will not be successfull with 8k att at level 50 - my opinion. With similar attack at level 37 I am usually going to about level 12-13 with 13 cash hits.

I would NOT use valor, which you have banked, for specific boss event. Valor is not cash, so should be spent on your strategic goals. Players have different visions how and when they spend valor. Valor can help you in various situations.

Boss health is different for different level players. According to shy information from devs, it depends purely on "your inventory" and only attack values. My assumption is that your raw attack and your attack skill points have the main impact.

Cannot state if for sure, because I cannot know if boss health is not adjusted by devs with each event, but for me increasing my attack while staying on the same level, have decreased my boss health down. So not only my hit gives more damage, but also total less damage is needed. So, if assuming that mechanics were not changed, it means that boss event emphasizes your attack and is generally meant for players with very good attack.

I have monitored closely last three events. Started on 36lvl, finished on 37lvl and next two events on same 37lvl, so I could compare. My attack went from 4k-5k in the beginning to 7-9k in last event, depending on ally number, still staying on same level. My bosses became weaker with each event, while I was starting each event being relatively stronger than previous. I think there is a relation here.

Cannot say for this event yet, as it has not yet appeared for me even after numerous resets, shutdowns, network offs, etc.

I have purposely dropped down from 500 allies a few days ago in the knowledge that this boss event was on the way. I want to try a higher level strategy to try and beat the boss with minimal gold spent. My idea is to run at this level of allies on 'free' hits as far as possible and then move to 'Cash' when i cannot defeat him. Once i can no longer defeat him with cash at 393 allies i will then add 15 allies at a time and move back to 'Free' hits / then 'Cash' until i am at 500 allies and hitting with 'cash' each time until i have to move to gold at some point. If i can get to boss 20+ using this strategy then i may only have to spend a few hundred bars of gold to get the top prize. Its got to be worth a try anyway.

I usually wait a minute or two. I can trigger another pretty quick if I want. Though, if my health was depleted, I wait the 1hr 20mins (have the health boost).

Cash attacks with medpacks. Each medpack actually gives you the ability to get in 5 more cash hits (if you wait 1 minute after doing the first 3). A mega attack is approximately 4 times the cash attack so you're getting in more damage with using a medpack and 5 cash attacks.

I believe it's based on experience level.

I sent in a ticket as well. I am level 153 so I think that 150 is probably the cutoff. I don't know if it's a quality issue or a lack of communication issue to let us know it's working as designed. Either way, a simple message from them would take away a lot of the frustration and guess work that is going on.

Are you at Maximum Allies? I'm at level 64 with 27,700+ Attack (defense Doesn't matter) and i have maximum allies.
Last Round i made it to Level 19 and i was soooooo close to beating 20 with no level up and no medpacks. For the Boss Events i bought Commandos First (600) and then Demolitions (600 of them) so that i could get further on the boss battles. I figured for each boss that i can get past 14 is the potential for an uncommon or Rare which for a free player is the best scenario i think.

Also if you have Valor i would reccomend buying some Super Hornets. I believe you can get about 75 without having many Casualties at are level and they have a nice attack stat.

I'm not sure yet on my LLP. I was running low allies and just maxed out my allies to see how far I can go. Boss #11 just dropped with 6 cash hits.

On my normal game, #16 is down and I used 7 free hits and 4 cash hits. Could have got him with all free hits, but I forgot to set a timer and missed about 40 minutes!

I've seen places that you can only have 5 per experience level, but I'm 100% positive that's not accurate since my LLP is at 38 with 195 allies.

Guys, regarding "not triggering" boss. At level 37 I was not able to trigger the boss no matter what I did. I sent the ticket. In half hour I have boss appearing after single attack and I am advancing on it.

Maybe there is some technical issue, which was fixed for my account after they got my ticket? Just assumption of course, but after whole day of trying I am glad I sent the ticket. As it is working now.

Regarding the boss strength - I can confirm he has a bit less hit points for me. BUT - it is third boss in a row, which I start at level 37, but my attack is higher when last time. Now most important - it is third boss event in a row, where I record (I really do) my boss strength data and it goes down for me. So I assume that depending on your attack and your account level, the boss strength is calculated. My assumption is that boss strength is not the same for the same level players, because their attack (units and skill points) varies. The stronger you are in your perspective level/bracket, the easier you will advance through this event not only because of your attack strength, but also because of lower boss health.

So players with attacking profile - and Ascent will tell you that these individuals, who play more aggressive style, are more likely to purchase gold, more likely to participate with passion - are much more likely to succeed compared to many campers. economy builders etc. Sounds logical for me.

Regarding ally number - CCM told in the meeting that ally number does not impact the boss health. So now you should believe it or not :) My experience is that it is true. I've tested this as well.

After level 9 I bought some crates that increased my strenght. But overall my damage is increased with 75% of the difference between my lowest into battle and the loot item.
I try to not level up during the event and make it to boss 30.

Im 127, with an attack around 73k. I will most likely get to boss 13 without gold. My LLP gets to around 20 without gold.

CCMark stated that altering your ally count before or during does not affect the boss health, it will only increase the damage dealt to the boss. I also messed with last event and noticed no difference.

I am currrently level 86 with 434 allies. My boosted attack is 101618. The damage i did in one free hit on boss 14 was 58051.

Having played this event a few times, I am thinking the Boss's defence numbers are based on a couple things such as your level and perhaps even the max stats of the leading player at your level or at least to some extent what MW perceives to be the optimum stats for your level.

So adding allies and increasing your attack go a long way in increasing your ability to defeat the Boss. I am using units such as the "Demolition Expert" with high attack and low defence to spike my attack stats. The Demolition expert is also fairly inexpensive. The only downside is they drop like flies in battle, but since I am using them to gain indestructible gold units, I feel it is a fair trade off.

I am at level 49 and I found that as I battle the next level of Boss (moving from Boss 12 to Boss 13), his defence increases by about 350 points over the previous boss. This means if in the previous battle I had used the maximum number of hits to defeat the Boss then I must increase my attack by about 350 points in order to defeat the next level of Boss without using gold.

If I happen to win a rare unit with 150 attack at the previous level, then I only have to increase my attack by 200 points.

The 350 point increase between Bosses is what I seem to be running into. It undoubtedly varies by level.

Yes it has happened to me. Did you take a screen shot. It took them a while but I ended up getting 150 gold as compo. Couldn't believe it.

Just got boss event and have beaten 5 bosses.

1st and 2nd were both rare rewards!
3-5 were common.

This boss seems to be kind of strong against sea units, as they are where most of my units are. I'm currently getting 95% of my total attack when I use cash option. The common infantry units I was rewarded are increasing my attack 100% of their attack.

Anyone using mostly air or ground and getting better than 100% of their attack while using cash option?

I'm mostly sea as well. Seams tougher than last time. I'm getting good units though, from ten I got 3 rare 3 uncommon and 4 common. Well happy with event so far. Think I'll max out at 13.

I've previously ended up with 15-17, but I'm lower level so I usually level up when it gets tough.

Reason I asked for anyone with other than sea is because i have $13 milllion and 4,200 valor to spend and usually do it during events. I would just like to get the most bang for my buck

I definately think this boss event is tougher then previous bosses. My stats A/D are about 3000, and I am only able to defeat the boss ( using cash attack and timing it correctly ) up to level 6 where previously I got up to 12 or 13. I have only received common units so far, 3 "quick hovercraft" 12a/18d, and 2 "lethal jeeps" 11a/20d. Anyone else noticing a difficulty increase?

So I assume you have like level 2-4 Naval centre, which boost your sea attack, so if adding sea units your attack in your profile is affected by naval bonus. If you don't have infantry boost building, then you see that infantry gives you 100%, while sea 95%. Boost buildings are not for this event.
