What is Alliance "Grunts"?

I got 23 Grunts in my alliance list. What is that?

Grunts are AI ally's. They are not real people like your other allies.

Can I remove them? They just taken my space.

I think you may be able to request them to be removed via a ticket through support. You cannot remove them any other way.

The free ally used to be a free "prize" when opening boxes for events. They got rid of that recently I believe because everyone complained.

I think you could also add an ally by paying gems and completing quests as well. Either way they are not a real person as stated above, just a placeholder as an "Ally."

Likely a hangover from the nascent days of KA when there were relatively few real people to become your allies. The only advantage I can think of is that they can't desert you!
