See this picture, she doesnt have a gnomish lab that will be unlock on level 40. How did she have a cannon worth 500 hp?

Could be a chest item. There's a lot of images that get recYcled. Was the unit actually called a cannon?

maybe its a siege cannon, i have it aswell, i got it from an event, since we are allys, check out my profile, i dont have uppgraded my g-lab either....

You can get cannon from the Tournament (win x battles over people with y allies) quests (specifically 40,80,120,160,200) so given there is only one of them there isn't necessarily a problem.

during PVP you can get via loot units that are available in the store, and thus even you have not unlocked the building or upgraded to unlock that particular unit, you can still have some in your inventory
example: I have 3 Warlock which required a lv-9 Magic academy and mine is only at level 6

A cannon is a price for finishing a certain level in one of the Maps...forgot which one.

Eh, I did possibly oversell - I'm only up to 144. That said its easy to see the pattern to the rewards.

Fisk's datasheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj9pi1nr5A99dFF0UWZKZWxzSGVyZkh5ekhnUnh0e lE#gid=0), which I've been adding to, has (admittedly patchy) data on the rewards of nearly 3/4 of the Tournament rounds.
