Half of the units in the game are fake. With so much units, it's kind of hard to have a realistic name for them all.

I agree. GDC is a great name and a realistic one. USS type names in real life are given to individual ships, not ship types. It would not be realistic to have multiple ships with the same USS name. Plus, USS is a US naming convention, it would not be realistic for a UK person to have a USS named ship. HMS would be realistic in that case.

These are just the most direct, there are many others. Do you not see how this reflects on credibility? To take someone who was (and probably will be again) disruptive to the forum and elevate them like that, especially when it wasn't intended in the first place, is very disappointing. This implies management endorsement of that kind of behavior. Of course nothing was ever done about it before so I guess that was always the case anyway. Yes the ignore function works but that only goes so far. I hope when the new forums are setup this approach will change.

If it was a robes cardinal with an ak-47 and we voted war priest in no complaints or a James bond type with Bronson as the name there would be no complaints. Why not immortalize the forum members as ingame units. It would be cool to have bosses on the maps named after forum members too. Then you could take down your faves on missions too! In all seriousness, and like I posted earlier, I do think it would be awesome to occasionally name LE units after major forum contributors. You throw a pop-up message out in the game when the LE is listed and promote the forums telling people that top contributors may have the opportunity to have an LE named after them, and maybe even a hand in the design of the unit, you would get a lot more people participating in the forums.

C'mon CCM -- here's your chance to look like a (even bigger) genius in those weekly staff meetings!!!

Speaking of the KA forum, how did my swamp rancor name not make the top 10? A goblin themed name made it, but that thing looks nothing like a goblin? A bull themed name made it but it doesnt have horns? BromanTAURUS made it, but last I checked Taurus was a constelation of a bull (see previous comment). An ogre themed unit made it, but Ogres do not have tails? Clearly CCM is not an engineer (he said so himself), because any respectable engineer would have included my Swamp Rancor name just because of the reference to Star Wars! No hard feelings though CCM!

Actually, Flan would never listen to me about FLANatizing unit and event item names. I kept trying to get him to FLANitize his signature where he listed his event finishes (8 FLANades instead of grenades, 7 FLAN plans instead of spy plans, etc..). Then one day I think Ryans posted a pic of a boat with a single jet fighter on it and said it was a flan boat carrying a FLAN plane or something and I pointed out that it was a FLANcraft Carrier carrying a single Flan-16 Fighter Jet (F-16 for short). As far as I know that was the birth of the FLANcraft Carrier, but I welcome anyone else to prove me wrong. Worst part is that it was in a FLAN thread and he deleted it! The picture was hilarious though!

I did. It is nice! A few quick taps and I collect about 5 million. Once I finish upgrading my Ore Mines it will be close to 9-10 all at once! It was funny, I kept trying to get one of yall to raid my stuff before someone else did and then someone snagged the first oil refinery for 480k, but the oil rig lasted almost 12 hours. Right before I was going to collect it someone hit it and got 540k. LOL. I totally would have been cool with someone de-allying with me and claiming it, but oh well.

On a side note, I just got raided by a Jason and he hit my level 10 supply depot, both my armories (level 9/5), my oil derricks, my cement factory, and my shipyard, but left my level 4 and 5 EPPs alone! Pure genious!

Now that pic is funny. I disagree Ryan. Flan would be honored, and all the forum members would get a laugh everytime they see someone with the Flancraft Carrier.

I know people keep saying, but all the people not familiar with flan will get it..actually...alllll the people not familiar with the forums won't get it..all people not familiar with the forums EVEN KNOW the contest is going on.why, because they don't come to the forums. Even lurkers know who flan is and the person he was. I understand what you mean but it's a game. I myself expected a more serious take on the names but it's good to see they have a sense of humor. I didn't even like the guy... At all... But the name is funny, and knowing flan cant even have the unit with his name in it, is even better. My point was people not getting the joke. If they don't get the joke,then there not forum members. So all these people that won't get it , don't even know their was a contest for naming it and wouldn't think anything of the name because they had never heard of flan anyways

If there's several accounts with the same IP address it will be pretty easy to spot.
