Last time I checked 12,300 attack is more than 10,000 defense...

...why am I losing 1 out of every 4 fights?

I keep losing to people with under 11,000 defense. I'm sorry but why am I losing 25% of my fights with people with much lower stats than me?

Am I the only one who thinks that makes NO sense and maybe a more simple algorithm is needed? maybe like...

if(playerAttack > enemyDefense)
{
win();
}
else
{
lose();
}

Or is that honestly too complex. I was just thinking I know some people might find something like this a little complicated but just bear with me and it will be outlined in my 739 page book which will fully go over this difficult to understand algorithmic function.

if(playerAttack 30% > enemyDefense)
{
win();
}
else
{
<insert some kind of check here>
}
If <criteria for win met>
{
Win();
}
Else
{
lose();

Im not saying the win/loss forumla is anything complex but its obviously more than 4-5 lines of coding, have to incorporate att/def skill points also.

There's a random element. If it was as simple as highest number wins, the game would probably get pretty stale.

Yeah but I expect a 2,000 attack point advantage to be enough to win more than 75% of the time O.o Gets annoying when I can't do the championship round goals because every 5th fight I lose *facepalm*

I'm getting pretty angry at it to the point I don't even want to fight because the game is breaking on the random element front in my favor.

2,000 attack point advantage is nothing really, you could probably lose with 4x that much advantage and certainly lose explosives even with 5x that advantage.

I'm kind of having the same problem: go like 20+ fights in a row and have a random loss to a guy with 2k+ lower def... PLUS i have points in attk as well... makes me search & search for ppl like 4k below me just to (almost) guarantee a 10/10 win record from them. /sigh

2000 accounts for about 16% of my attack points right now, i wouldn't be confused if I had 500 mafia but this is like...150 mafia right now o.o

Lol try robbery, you can breach defence of double your attack if you try enough times.

Oh yeah all I do is robbery, but I just want these goals done for the items and it's just laughing at me D:

It called me fat ;_;

Your failure isn't with Math, it's with understanding how defensive numbers work. You can't just look at another player's Defense as a flat number. You need to guess what's driving that number. Take two players with 10,000 D: one has invested heavily in Defensive Buildings, while the other relies on Weapons. Attack the player who prefers Defensive Buildings because they count significantly less against fights. Search the forums for threads explaining defense, and you'll understand that you can't just look at the D number. Also, invest in better weapons yourself. Based on your level and IPH, it looks like you have major room for improvement, then you wouldn't have to complain about this problem...

I know how it works...

This was just a straight up complaint how something that could be more simple was made more complicated and hidden from view which we know they programmed on purpose.

I have good enough weapons myself, I have the attack of players twice and larger of my own mafia

Are you implying that it isn't already stale?

Are you allocating many skill points toward attack, or elsewhere? Some players build up their defense points, which won't be shown to other players.

Not sure why this is news, the OP has been around long enough to know better...

25% or more ACTUAL atk>def is usually the barometer for fight wins.

Yeah approaching 90 attack skill points... meh.

LOL. CC is not a game of logic or mathematical certainty. It's a game of golden balls. The more gold you have, the bigger your balls. :p

Yeah I realized over the time that it's a money sink :P Just keep throwing money at it and the employees don't lose any sleep over my failed fights :P

I just robbed a couple office buildings off a guy with 100k+ defense... My attack is roughly 40k :)
