Good call! I've got 1600/1500 weapons/armor. Nearly all from PvE. At this point, when I loot from the maps such as the Crypt or one before/after, picking up small weapons and armor that have stats like 7/3 or 3/7 (respectively), it starts to add up quickly. And with small experience gotten for my level (which I'm 65), I don't level up too fast.

EG: 69 Thrown Orcish Daggers at 5/4 each is another 345/276 added to my stats. Or the Spiked Clubs (3/7), 52 of them, adds 156/364. But then you get the bigger ones of 15/5 or 5/15, and soon, using 1000 pieces of armor and 1000 weapons, you're adding 7k - 12k attack (for bosses and PvP) and 7k - 12k defense (for PvP).

I just gave that example so I could sound important. KoD already said it, too, AND has a spreadsheet. :)

Fantastic showing!! I seem to be stuck at 8. Will make 1 more run at 9 but not holding my breath - much worse than last time. Only got 8 commons:p.

I've maxed out at boss 16 without spending any gems. Got 6 uncommons & 2 rares - much better luck than the last boss, when I got only 2 uncommons/1 rare.

Despite my limited IPH, I've been able to buy quite a number of stronger units over the past couple of weeks, while still constantly upgrading buildings/vault. Now I've got to address my absolutely crappy weapons & armor. I haven't really done too much with the maps, since I didn't want to level up too fast. But, I'm starting to think that the maps loot is the best way to go. Looks like it would be worth it to go up 2-4 levels if I can get a big enough return. Got to look closely at things over the next couple of days to figure out how to get the best #'s for the least amount of experience pts.

I have plenty of gold as my econ is really solid but I have maxed out purchasing the best weapons and armor (each additional battle axe only gets me 2 extra attack at 21k a pop). You must have a typo somewhere in here. I am level 37 with 14k+ attack without using all my armor and weapons and I am working on Boss 17. Need about 10 more trebuchets to take him down I think? How many allies do you have?

For this event, you need to bring more allies. Each ally will allow you to add more units and weapons and armor. Make sure every unit has a weapon and armor. If you notice by adding more allies that others are a lot stronger than you are, you might skip this event. You don't want to get pounced.

Well, there's your problem. You need to be near or at max allies to have any chance at going further (assuming, of course, that you also have a large enough army to fill the slots opened up by adding allies). At level 36 you can bring a maximum of 180 allies to battle, so you have a very long way to go. Go to the "Add Me" forum and start typing in IDs like a deranged monkey (and post your own, too).

yesh I outdid you this time. at least I'm consistent. Dead at boss 7 both times with exact same loot quality :)

Haha I hear you .. at least this time I took my time and stretched it out to day 2.

But it does seem my timer on the Boss Event's end is about 12 hours more? Not that it matters though.

So I leveled up when I started trying boss 17. Before I allocated my skill points I attacked him once and did 14164 damage. I added one attack skill point and did 14168 damage meaning that the attack skill point added 4 points to my attack damage on the boss. Then I used the remaining 2 skill points to add one point to hero attack and there was no increase in attack damage to the boss, it was still 14168. It appears that attack skill points add 4 points to your attack damage against the boss.

Anybody else notice this or something different?

At Lvl 38, what are your A/D and ally count to get to 17 bosses?? Oh wait, 570/3 =190?

I started the event with 45 allies and A/D of 5k/4.5k and went up to 15.5k/14k at 190 allies. Was only fielding about 486 armor so trying to purchase 84 more before next boss event. Used 550 weapons or so need to add at least 40 more before next boss event. Also trying to add more trebuchets 27 attack. 570 of those is 14985 attack and each one I purchase adds about 20 attack. Bought 150 during the event. Working on raising my IPH right now. Want to get it to 16k + so I can buy the good weapons and armor with the highest attack (16k-19k a piece).

I know people say farm weapons and armor from PVE but I am going to sit on level 38 for as long as possible only doing missions to trigger bosses and not doing any pvp and see if I can get my attack to 30k unboosted. I want to see if it is possible to beat all 40 bosses without gold. Might take a while though. My original strategy and backup plan is to eventually get a level 10 breeding den and all dragon army unless they change the stats of all the units again (mine are still unchanged grrr). My new strategy is to try and build a boss event loot army, one that hopefully includes a few of the top boss units that come with beating him 40 times

I believe that the level change driving the rewards and difficulty of the boss is 75 not 80. I saw someone (lvl 76) with a Castle Airship instead of the Palace Airship that I would receive at level 77. It had lower stats than the Palace Airship. I am guessing they received it at lvl 74 or 75and then leveled up. This would explain why I suddenly had much more trouble on this Boss Event than the last one. It may have been lvl 80 on the last event but it appears as though they changed the breakpoint to 75.

I was able to go through 14 bosses. I received 11 commons and 3 uncommons (bummer).

I’m still trying to determine how to estimate the strength of the boss. Has anyone determined a workable formula?

Cool strategy. I will consider it for my own steps in the game.
I hope Gree comes with a regular Boss event.

I ended with 1 uncommon, 6 commons and finally 1 rare. Happy with that, paid too much gold though.

I squeezed in 7 (all commons). Back of the envelope calculation suggests I'd need about 16,000 more attack (from 56k) to get 8. One the upside, no need to stress when you can expect to kill so few.
