So yet again another event with no modifier for the top 250 prize. You're really beginning to take the mickey Gree. I'm shocked at how stupid you are because the group of players who would spend gold during an event to get the top 250 prize and modifier will now think twice.

Put it this way i'm more than happy to spend a vault of gold on an event to get that top 250 prize as long as there's a modifier as well.

Thank you though because you've now saved me 3 vaults of gold with this and the last two events.

I make up my own event now to see how many fails I can get to stop me getting annoyed. Pawn is currently winning though with a 22 fail streak, I'm hoping to smash that!

On the plus side I collected 2 safes as soon as the event started with a minor xp gain and still have 1 safe on hand so I'm not levelling up :)

Wow how the success rate for the cash option was dropped. I used to be a gold spender but never on events. With the weekly events and rampant cheating, it is getting easier to walk away. Working towards my first NC and after that I may push away.

A safe with a doc is good. One that doesn't is bad.
Crowbar is the gold option.

I know how u feel....1 doc in every 15 open, and a tons of $6000....

What's this $6000 stuff? The lowest cash prize I've ever received was $10,000 (plus the occasional $50,000).

Gadzooks....big jump you'd have to do to get in the top 25 from having 20. Way too much gold for an item you said you didn't care about. Save the gold for something better.

I haven't gotten a document since I got #10 on Sunday morning. So I've only gotten one document in about my last 60 opens...... Glad I didn't use gold.

I was wondering why you hadn't been updating your progress. I've hit a bit of a brick wall as well, 1 doc in the last 40 attempts. I might join you on the free event challenge, see if we can make it to 5 lol

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to actually log my progress for an entire event, this time i didnt even make it two days. However, even though I didn't keep it up, I did decide to do my own silly experiment with gold. Since there was a gold sale, I bought a truck of gold and used it for opens only, no resets. I just wanted to see if my progress would be any better than it usually is.

Right now I'm sitting at 18 Documents, not that much better than I normally do with the medium cash option, which is usually around 15ish. At least this is enough confirmation for me to just stick with medium cash ones from now on, since the item rewards for placing in the top 25/250 are not worth the amount of gold it takes to get them, at least for me, anyway.

I was happy to get 11 (log on page 2). I haven't gotten 10 since the new event style. I don't like wasting in-game cash (notice all my free attempts) since I could spend it much more effectively, but it works. I have never even considered myself in the running for the top prizes, so I just open casually.

Edit: Billionaire, I see they got you to break down and spend some gold. You came so close to winning the event.

Last 2 days were brutal. Finished with 12. Got 9 in first 3 days and 3 in the last 2 days. Wtf!? Kept getting 2.5k cash and 12.5k cash. GIVE ME DOCS!

I got bored/too busy with logging but did over 100 opens as usual and got 9 docs. Less than a 9% chance of me getting a doc from an open attempt

If I wanted to get in the top 250 with my current success rate I would need to do over 220 gold opens costing ~3330 gold. 3 vaults for the top 250 prize weapon is not a great ROI!

Edit: forgot to calculate timer resets. That would need approx 1650 gold on top, so 4 vaults!

I mean, EARNING those free items requires some significant dedication to playing the events, but investing the time and being rewarded with nothing useful is nothing short of pointless. I got 22-25 in all the other leader board events. This one was just bad. I didn't do anything differently than I normally do.

I bought my first gold of the game for this event - 10 bucks. Luckily, I had $41 in credit on iTunes account, so it didn't hurt me too badly. Apparently, the system works.

Yea i can handle spending a little 135 gold bars on an event. No way am i going back to spending a couple of vaults worth though!
