new feature or old feature?

A few minutes ago I was doing some pvp and I almost dropped my iPad and when I caught it, all of the items I hadn't collected yet were collected (valor points, attack points, etc.) I figured out that if I shake the iPad with uncollected items on the screen, it actually collects them for you. Is this a new feature or is it something that I've just never noticed before? I can't say that I shake my iPad very often so I doubt I would have ever have found this anytime before now.

Old feature. If you don't collect them after so long, they automatically do.

The accelerometer collect thing is an old feature though? I know they collect if you leave them sitting there, but shaking the iPad collects them right away even if you just got them to drop 2 seconds before.

If u have a bunch of uncollected things in a map, go to a different map or go back to your base and it'll auto-collect everything.
