That's reassuring, thanks. Yeah, definitely gonna start camping and upgrading my Breeding Den for those Dragons at the top of the gold mountain. Figure it'll take me several months at least.

I'm level 91 and haven't been attacked by a whale in awhile. Even when I do its only ever one attack as my gold s vaulted. From my experience I wouldn't say there is a need to camp in KA

I'm level 109 and haven't really been hit by whales yet. I was under 200 ally's until this boss event, now at 330.

I think whale territory is a combination of level and ally count. I think you need to be at a high enough level that the density starts to thin out. This is a moving target and probably is at or above level 100 now. I frequently see tons of people in the 90's and a few over 100 now.

It also depends on ally count though. The higher your alliance count, the juicier of a target you become to high level players. Most high level players and whales do the pvp quests so they look for targets with higher and higher alliance counts. At the end, there are people looking for only 500 count alliances and having just 499 might protect you a little bit.

Even at my level there are enough people that people with good or even just "decent" stats get left alone for the most part. The people I see getting hit 100+ times a day are the ones with absolutely terrible stats, like 10k-15k defense at level 100 with over 300 alliance members. Those people take such a beating I don't think its even possible for them to increase their stats because their units die off so quickly. I'm not sure why they keep playing to be honest. If asked, my advice to them would be to drop their alliance count to as close to zero as possible and then try and build up.

whale territory is mostly ally count - get your allies up to 500 and you will see whales come out of the woodwork at 90+.

If you land at allies 500 (the magic number for whales in the champions round quests) you will be hit many times an hour unless you have >100k D.

Seems atm I have a sound stradegy, sure is borring though just waiting around playing it cool. Glad this forum is around to kill time, almost thought about starting MW or that other one.

I couldn't stand camping. I've hit lvl 75 in just a month of playing.

Wow... I've been playing for almost two months and am at 61, and I play at least 3-4 times a day to deplete my energy. Impressive, you'll be maxed out in several months at that rate. I need to take your approach.

Granted, I spent awhile mastering the first dozen maps to level 5, so wasted a lot of time on low XP monsters. Now I'm gonna go through all the maps and fully master them backwards to get my stats up through best weapons and armor, and collect more gold through the higher level monsters.

God knows I'll need it to upgrade my buildings and buy dragons.

It's mainly just which maps you farm. When I went on a boss killing spree, oh man most of those would give me 1 lvl just from killing them 1 time! LoL

Actually I cut my allied down to about 150. Hardly ever get attack and when the do they get nothing. Allies is way more important than level for the whales to see you.

The problem with low allies is you can't complete the TR quests. Tho the air down there seems better for money. I dropped from 260 to 120 for kicks and it's been good so far.

People spend more money on the game than you think.... wehn you see people chatting about gem bonuses @ 500 or 1000 spend/month... you start realizing that.

Id probably report such a player, then assume they were spenders if they were still around. :)

Yes I got into quite a battle with a clan of massive gem spenders a few weeks ago because I took 80k from one of its members. And one of the players had spent over $5000 in gem units alone not to mention the events which the two of them have been consistently in the top 50 of all the box events.

I like this opinion - Id go a little bit further... I think gem buying makes the game more interesting, in that it makes all of your competition (at high levels) that much more difficult. Its like playing others who are using a "cheat code."

I dont think so - most of the RK (which is probably who's being referred to) are not beta testers... the 2 beta testers Ive seen were much lower level and had much less impressive stats, buildings, and items.

I had quite the surprise when I hit level 111. Got to the level, went to sleep, woke up to 5 separate attacks from players in high 160s. That was 10 days ago, so I'm not sure if that is still the magic number.

There are lots of players in the 160-180 range that have 2x the stats of a majority of the non-gem or "normal"-gem players.

how much is that? 150K? 200K? I keep relatively low number of allies and do not see strong players with 500 allies. I guess they do not see me as well :)

BTW, you mentioned that you was not attacked with 300 allies count. Does this work in whales territory still? Or do whales see any player regardless of number of allies?

The higher levels can see everyone. From as low as 1 ally to 500 allies.

Question to all the KA vets out there:

Is there a certain level, ally count, or Army Attack/Defense score which puts you into whale territory? I'm admittedly ignorant on the issue and wondered if someone could clarify the specifics for me.

I've just hit level 61 (A/D in the mid 17k range) and considering camping for awhile to build up my buildings, increase units, and finish upgrading my vault.

I think at your level, your A/D is quite low. You should have at least 20-25k A/D, most will deter attacking you. Camping will build your stats, boring like most will say but effective short term strategy. In my opinion, there is no ally count, A/D score Or level that you can say "safe from whales". Enjoy the game no matter which strategy you use. Cheers!
