I hardly never post a thread as I always try to use the ones that we have around but today I was watching the highlights from yesterday and got curious to know if everyone is gonna watch the games.

So if you are sport fan, are you gonna follow an specific game or any that your country are involved to? If you guys think that's a good idea we can use this thread to post curiosities related to the games or anything that we would like to chat about the subject. Well, what do you think guys?

Track and field is the best especially the 100,200 & 400 meters.

there was a game called high noon that would do this. You could buy a hat (for free) in the store, say hatfields and mccoys, and the teams would compete in PVP for prizes (usually what would be gold in MW). Other tournaments included multiple teams that would be equivalent to the nations in MW and the top 500 from the nation that had the highest total number of wins would win prizes. It was pretty fun

most athletes were amateurs. Today, with sponsorships and media coverage, the amateurs make professional money.
Yes the olympics is supposed to be about the best amateur but with the amount of money put into training, all these guys and girls are real pros. The boxers just happen to be young and inexperienced at their sport. A lot go on to be pros.
I also think there really aren't that many professional boxers worldwide in numbers who can compete on an even basis. If they allowed the pro boxers in, they could do away with all the early rounds and go straight to the medal fights.
Jhoe would be happy though seeing Pacman win gold. LOL

You already know I'm watching my USA basketball team dominate the competition and make it two straight Olympic gold. I'm disappointed baseball is not an Olympic sport anymore I enjoyed it. I will also watch Jusain Bolt break his own record and watch USA and Jamaica battle once more for the 100mx4 relay that is usually real intense. And eventually watch Michael phelps dominate the Aussies. Maybe 5-10% attack OR defense boost for USSR, GRMY, BRITS, CHINA, and a 5-10% bonus to something else for US and IRAN (options, 5-10% more cash from $ buildings, 5-10% faster energy (US)/stamina recovery(IRAN), 5-10% boost to ground, air, sea for US/IRAN). Just some ideas.

Look at the size of USA and china compared to our little island in uk so obviously you have a lot to pick from and when you look at the money the likes of Australia put into sport , we have only started to put money into sport in recent years but even with no money we have always had some greats . It's great we are taking it more seriously now and with the Olympics the future looks great .
