Pls help me understand buying units

Hey guys

My stats look like this:

Germany
lvl : 68
Units: 3124
Allies: 401
AA : 22283
AD : 25641

For some reason I don't get stronger at all when adding allies, why is that?

Also, I'm not sure which units to buy. Should I always just buy the best most expensive as I unlock better units?

I hardly loose units in battle so i don't care much about casualties rate.

I just remember buying like 50 of some pretty good units, can't remember which but nothing rally happened.

You can have as many allies as you want but only X number will be used. X is calculated by (5 x your level) so (5 x 68 = 340)

For each ally, 4 units are taken to battle. So you can take (4 x 340) 1360 units to battle. Adding allies will not make you stronger until you level up. (500 allies is the maximum number taken to battle, which is possible at level >100).
You should work out your unit density (attack divided by number of units) to work out what units you should buy. If you buy a unit with higher attack than your attack density, then your stats will increase faster.

My advice as well. Hard to answer your question without knowing much more information. Best to read the thread poopenshire suggested.

Ehh, my number of units divided by AA is only around 7...which would mean almost all units should increase my AA...but they don't.

22283/1360 = 16.38.
That is your average attack for each unit taken.

25641/1360 = 18.85.
That's your average defence for each unit taken.

If you look at the battle result screen after a fight and look at what your weakest unit taken is, that will tell you what to get.

Remember that you will only add the difference between the stats on the new item and the lowest item you bring to battle. So if your lowest item has an attack of 12 and you buy an item with an attack of 16, your attack will only go up by 4 (not considering boosts).

But how is one able to see the lowest unit which is brought to battle? I mean, isn't it only showing the top 45 or something after an attack?

You can enter all your units into Khimsoo's MW toolkit available on the app store and it will rank your units in order based on attack and defense.
