At the end 2 rares 2 uncommon for 20g,not bad (could've been for no gold,but decided to use 1 mp for last hit on 16th boss,i did not want the 600k i spent on him to go to waste ,was hoping for at least an uncommon,but oh well).

I am on boss six and can't seem to get him with cash. I'm pretty clueless on how some folks are getting to 14-15 wins without gold.

I have 70 gold and am wondering if I should buy the tank predator currently in specials. Would it be better to do that or would it be better to try and get through a couple more bosses using 20 gold medpacks?

Are you using the full 13 hits? If you arent able to get through with cash and all 13 hits, I'd quit. You can use the medpacks and get through another 3 bosses, which equates to a real cheap crate. Your call, but buying one item isnt going to raise your attack enough to matter.

I think so, but sometimes my timing is a little off (I do have to work in between :D).

Maybe I am not very strong for my level - I am level 57 and attack is only 2400 with 17 allies. I don't think I followed the right strategy (camping?) at the beginning and have leveled up pretty fast I guess.

SSNE- Your attack is pretty low, which explains your struggles. Same is happening to everyone with a less then stellar attack. I stopped at 7, and may do the 8th if I time my leveling right.

Overall had to use a vault, towards the end it was just mega attacks and med packs. Last boss was 2 med packs and 10 mega attacks and literally as my gold ran out luckily the cash option was good enough to finish him off

To use a vault of gold to get 30 units (main rare ones I got were sea units) and a good stat sea unit as an end prize made it worthwhile IMO as I'm UK

I get antsy towards the end and start using medpacks rather then waiting. :D Otherwise it takes almost 4 hours, and 40 gold, which is fair for the last 5. I'll use less then 500 by the end if I go slow.

Pretty sure number 11 will be my last, looking at a Level up and 18 hits to get him.

Yep, 18 hits to take him down, received a "Stealth Trembler:rolleyes:" for my efforts.

The graph I did for the hit points has been coming in pretty close to the money, predicted 1.01million, went down with 1.07 million. Gone up a level now though so I think the next one will jump dramatically. Good part is can get an idea using the free hits as to what his actual strength is.

Update: Went up 1k plus in attack, added a couple of allies and the next elite also looked in the 18 hit range. He was, dropped number 12 on the last shot and actually took 5k less points than the previous one.

Mind you number 13 has come up with around 1.25Million. With another 1k increase in attack stat he would go down in 23 hits but I don't think I will bother. Happy to call it quits with what I have.

dont go for it. bosses get get harder much faster than they did the last event. last time 1 med pack was good for about 4 extra bosses. this time 1 med pack is only good for 2 extra bosses.

This boss is much tougher than the last event. I've added more allies and units, 6K attack increase, without any impact to the # of boss hits, that I've been able to recognize.

That being said the loot drop has been much better. On boss 24:

Rares:
2 Shore Command 110/124

Uncommons:
2 Shore Assault 51/30
2 Massive Trembler 37/49

@TC - Didn't track it closely out of the gate, but here is the rough breakdown:

15-20 (1 health pack)
21-25 (2 health pack, 23 hits)
26-28 (3 health pack, 26 hits)
29 (4 health packs, 28 hits)
30 (5 health packs, 31 hits)

I added allies 200 - 245 and added valor units for appx 14% increase in Boosted Attack.

won the ship and got 4 rare, 11 uncomon and 15 common units with a total gold spent of 780(medpacks only) and many millions cash.
had to use gold from 23 to 30, tactics as above but impatient on the last 2 bosses and its gotten late.

I have never knew, and still don't know how those numbers work. They make no sense to me what so ever. When he is on level 5 he still does -24 damage to me as he does on level 30.

Boss 9 at 52k took 17 hits. boss 10 at 68k stopped at 13 hits would not waste gold on a failed boss. 33% increase in attack didn't do much.

IMO, the event is definitely geared to giving lower levels the opportunity to pull back something on higher level players.

At $270K a hit, Boss #26 drained away all the money I had ready for him ($7m) and cost me 180 gold as a result. There is no way I can sustain either the cash or the gold beyond this level.

I'd be interested to know how many L100+ players get all the way....

Already spent 1340 gold on the event (plus a mistake or two), but it's the cash that's the issue. At Boss #30, I estimate a hit would cost me $310K and it's likely that at my level I would need to hit him around 50 times! That's over $15m cash! That's beyond me, and perhaps beyond the worth of the unit.

With 26 new indestructibles, I'm not entirely unhappy, but in themselves they are not worth 1340 gold. But since this was my last throw to win an event, I'm a bit sad at having to retire a virgin...

I stopped at 18 which cost me one med pak. I am thinking of going to 19 because I could probably get it for one med pack as well.

Anyway, this one was much tougher than the last. And in fact, because of that I basically decided not to waste much gold on this event.

I picked up a bunch of commons like everyone -11 in total. But one of the commons -- the Base Transporter A6/D24 I am not disappointed with at all. They skewered the numbers so the defense got the most power. I am thinking with a defense of 24 it could be a factor in my defense for quite some time. I am level 44.

In my opinion, it is probably the best of the common units because it was skewered.

I have a quick question, at what levels did a defense of 24 quite being a factor for your army on the defensive side?

Yeah, kind of hard to back out once you have money already into it. At least it's not like an event where you never know if you'll win.

Just next time if you don't want to spend money, don't use gold from the start. :D

I actually did your event strategy on the boss, hence I was done so early on. I used a lot less gold than I anticipated, 3800G would make me wanna quit also...esp after losing soo much G on rocket event.

Mcdoc I hear you man. I use a variation of your method and it always gave me the event I went after. Besides the walkie talkies, the last two events I used my method and only reached 9. So with not getting the end prize and the gold I have spent I feel stupid. This walkie talkie event I have put little effort in and I'm at 8.

The boss event broke several budgets in my household. My wife is not impressed. I have never been a gambler but this is what it must feel like. Put $100 on the card table, go home with nothing but the lint in your pockets.

I kinda wish they did this style event with prizes that had a boost. Its tough to justify the gold on a unit alone, unless your lower levels and are able to finish it cheaply.
