2 shards 1 fail in three attempts not a problem getting crates - actually got most of them pvp which normally doesn't start to yield crates at this high of a drop rate until around the 2nd day or so and I am getting a $h!tty drop rate on jobs - ones that require over 350 energy - I would be confident in saying that they may have changed the drop rates so that people that aren't "job" doers and don't have high energy bars but high stamina can still yield enough boxes to compete. No statistics just an observation that I've made so far

Edit:: oh yea all cash option here got 20 chips last event all cash and only had to spend 20 bucks on gold to get into top 500 not even looking at my wallet this event - the items are average and the extra "increases" (100 attk pts and 5 henchmen) not extremly appealing either

Especially now that you have to get into top 25... before I think hypothetically EVERYONE could get the 10th item if they spent a little gold (unless there was a hidden top 50 or 100 or something limiting the amount of prizes)

Now you have to spend gold cause you get so many chests, with gold by 5 days this will be in the 250's I'm guessing...

I dont want to thread jack, and dont get me wrong, I am just feeling a little frustrated at the situation. I like getting the prizes and dont mind paying in game cash, but no more gold. If they are making money at it, then good for them. I am glad, that will keep the game going longer and force updates and changes that will hopefully make it better than it is now.

I think the android version has a lot of hacks, probably even a gold hack. If they use their "unlimited energy and stamina" hack, finding a thousand boxes is easy, and if they have a gold hack, so is opening the boxes. The real trick is to follow khung's old rule of "no greedy", but many of them haven't even thought of that and now there are a bunch of suspicious looking android users out there.

11 out of last 12 attempts have been fails, and 12 out of last 14. Prior to that I opened six in a row and only got 1 shard.

The open rate for the middle option is obviously less that 50%, but even if it were 45% the odds of this kind of bad luck are geting into scratch off lottery ticket range.

I finished the last event at rank 126 but got lucky with 31. This time I'm already at 16 and barely in the top 250.

Yeah happy for him too, he was more than a little miffed. I don't have sale but 300 attack I do want so went for it anyway, am in top 250 with 22. The skill works well if you do alot of robs, for me anyway. I regulary successful against those with stats that I should not be, and I might be wrong but it helped alot it seemed in defense. Not an expert with all the formulas, just wierd way it has seemed to work for me.

Like mentioned earlier the word is CHEATERS : Idc what anyone says the shard leader right now has 220 chards (edit that: just went to open he now has 249 shards) or some **** - in the last event I got in the top 500 - I used all cash up to the last hour got my 20th chip with 1 hr 2 min to go I was behind 500th place by 3 chips. I bought only a whatever 650 gold is called I forgot think a truckload or some $h!t...anywayz - I immediately blew threw the gold with timer resets and force opens cause the leader board froze I was already committed. Out of that gold I got 5 chips - with the timer resets thats about a 1/5 using gold!!!!! I feel I got lucky as hell that I placed last event but at that ratio to have 249 shards rhats 1245 force opens and with timer resets thats 37350 pieces of gold used which comes out to 24.9 vaults of gold we"ll just say 25 - that's $2500 spent and it's the same people in the top slots so your telling me that for the last two events these people have spent btwn $4000 -$5000 since the #s weren't so high last event that's why I left the spread but seriously that's a down payment on a car or pay your mortgage for a couple of months but hey it's a game of people with $ and I'm far from rich and have spent plenty to get what I have but theres a pt that cheating has to come into play there's gold cheats out there that I'm sure still work - they said they fixed them all hmm... I totally agree - ive been extremly lucky with using in game cash option since first event ever - even the last one but I currently have 11 chips which I've had since yesterday morning at like 6 in the morning but pretty much all fails since then so I guess my luck streak has run out but at this point I'm too far behind to even reach top 250 which would suffice but if I switched to gold right now I'd need a vault just to catch up to 250th place maybe just surpass but then if I don't go buy another one I'll start to slip again Im hoping at this point I can even get the item for 20 might wait and see how close to 20 I actually get and maybe buy a small amount of gold just to get the kunai - depends

Definitely no gold. I had enough Tapjoy gold for 8 open computer safes last event. All that got me was within 1 chip of a spot in the 500, and I lucked out with one last chip on my last attempt with cash before that event ended.

I've saved another 50-something TJ gold since then, but there's no point pissing it away on this event. I wasn't even planning to spend any of it last event, but I was close enough to the top 500 and wanted the Street Demon so I could hang my dice from the mirror. If this event were top 500 I might actually have a decent shot from where I am now, but it's not, so I don't.

Same here man stuck on 11 for 2 days or more - I was at one pt 4 off the 250 mark now I'm 16... There's something wrong with that... Cause I guarantee u the person with 27 chips that's holding 250 th place right now is most def a cash player. Last event I kept up with the leader board for the most part and then at the end decided to go the gold route to solidify a spot but to not receive a single one in 2 days and I slowly watch 250 th place get further and further away - and I play constantly have over 120 crates on hand I mean **** they should have some kind of server that logs gameplay hours that should be calculated into your percentage ratio for getting shard but like that would ever happen.. I guess really I'm just used to havin pretty good luck in these events but at least let me to 15 or 20 for the insane effort but they win again.... No gold this time and I think the fact that they can't figure out people r cheating is also pretty ridiculous but I'm not the Funzio police do what u do!!!

btw what's the point of refilling your energy early on? seems like the best way to do it is just to farm chests early on, amass as many as possible, and then go crazy with the opens in the last 2 days. that way you're not wasting gold on farming chests.

are you on iphone? I'm on android and I can take calls and run about 3/4 apps and have a stable OT... the only thing that kills my OT is when I drop the stupid phone and battery pops out lol

Scratchers: Only on Iphone/Ipad users. Android users (like me) complain a lot.
Samurai Event (/Katana was an item in the event) are Events, they run for 7 days on Iphone and for 5.? days on android. You can recognize them by the icon you get just above your players name in your hood. The Samurai event has ended, so you'll have to wait for the next event (I don't have an icon there either at the moment). Possibly a minimum of level 20 or so is required.
Crates: Boxes you can buy for Gold, can be bought in store and then Special (currently called Steel Armor Crate/60 gold). They give you a mix of weapons, but don't know to much about them since I'm non-gold.

Probably not. You are at a very low level. Most players there are sleeper/backup accounts for high level players. They use them to create income (for a second account) without leveling and have multiple devices. If you're bored on 1 device, you might as well be bored on 2. If you level up a few levels (about ten or so) they will be mostly gone. On your level they won't play events, because for events you'll need chests and the only two ways to get them is by attacking/robbing opponents or map buildings/people (thus getting exp, thus levelling). Some might be gold players, easy to recognize.

Yes, you'll get ios players in your list (and vice versa). The difference between an android and ios player is something I haven't been able to discover so far.
