Attempted between 20-23 opens per day. Three of my last five attempts were chips, which took me from 16 to 19.

I'm currrently still on overtime, I have two left to open, and I'm just hoping that one of them is a chip and takes me to 20.

Seems a small consolation for all the bull****.

The odds of getting into top50 without gold is near impossible...

You'd have to open a chip or whatever EVERY hour consecutively...

Worse than most non-spenders, but losing is losing, it doesn't matter by how much.....LOL!

The one lesson I learned from this game is to never, ever spend gold on an event.

If Funzio were smart, they would let anyone who spent X amount of gold win automatically. But after spending I don't know how much on that stupid car that added +20% to your auto attacks - and not getting it - I swore I'd never spend any gold again on an event.

At least crates and items are a sure thing.

I finished with 16 with literally half of them coming in the last 24 hours of the event. I had a late start because I didn't have the necessary update, but once I got it I was attempting to open >16/day (worked midnights this week, so I was sleeping less).

I don't generally chime in with the complaining about the game here, but this event actually disgusted me. It was such a blatant money grab. If this is the wave of the future, I may be finishing up with this game, too. I'm up to level 187, about to build my second Casino, and almost done with Thug Life. These events would've been one of the reasons to keep going. Instead, if they continue like this, I think they'll be the main reason I finally quit.

Why would an event make you quit? If you dont like the event then either dont participate or just play without expectations. In previous events I was always 100% satisfied getting the 3rd item with 7 rpgs, or tires or whatever knowing how difficult it is to get the 9th and 10th piece. If people want to buy gold then who cares?! If you "know" it is impossible to win without gold then why are you so upset when you dont win without gold? I definitely prefer the previous event style but when the next one comes out the same way with a top 50 and top 500 oh well! Im not going to go nuts trying to get into the top 50. If I attempt a cash open and it says fail then better luck next hour! People get so upset when you get a few fails in a row. Relax. Even if the odds are 50/50 for an open you can get few fails in a row. I have seen plenty of roullette wheels have a string of 8 to 10 black or red numbers in a row and that is just under 50/50.

I got super lucky. I was out of the country since Friday morning. I did not start the event until Monday morning. I did not even know of it. I had 10 on day 1. I finished with 24, ranked 419. I had all misses yesterday. Sucked. But glad I finished within 500. I was not expecting to. I did all cash options.

i refused to spend gold knowing that if i didnt the top 50 was out of the question. I at least hoped to be in the top 500 but after 3 days of no chips i knew that was a faint hope as well. NICE EVENT FUNZIO cant wait for the next one xxx

Why would an event make you quit?

For example because ...

1. all these high-end prices devalue previous achievements to some extend. I don't think the impact of a single event should enough to make one quit. However, we have experienced a constant stream of events for months now and can expect a series of these new event type, too.

2. people might get the impression that there is a rising requirement you to spend gold for being competitive. At a certain point one might decide the game will be too expensive for you playing style.

3. player might feel bad about what they spend in the event. It's easy to tell them they should not spend money in events when they don't want to. Following the advice might be much more difficult. There *are* some strongly addictive elements used here.

My luck actually continued after the event. I'm currently trying to finish up the kitana buying goal, and I withdrew $700K to purchase #8. Connection was bad, but I saw the kitana quantity go from 7 to 8 before I backed out and closed game. I came back to the game 10 minutes later, and I see that the money is still in my account... and is going down.

I got hit for 240K b/c the game glitched on a bad connection. Worst loss ever on the game. I've never been attacked or robbed for even half that before by a single player.

My income is 1.2M/day, but this is enough to really hurt my weekend game planning.

gold doesn't guarantee win!

u spend 15 gold to crack a chip but u end up with a filthy $6000 win .. that's lame
