I'm totally disappointed with the game. Gree/Funzio has turned this game into a money grabbing thing, which is quite sad coz I had been enjoying the game till now. To me, the events should be something to keep the players interested in the game, and get more people playing the game. Buying and using gems is simply cheating, and ruins the game entirely.

I've been using the gold (middle) option in all events, and the most units I got was 3. On the last 2 events, I was lucky to get 2 units. The success rate is so low that it is making these events into just a frustration. What should happen is that, since there are 2 sections to the events, the 1st section for getting the 4 units should be easily attainable with Gold option, and maybe need a bit of luck with the Free option. For those who wants to spend $$$, they can compete for the big prizes in the 2nd section.

Right now the frustration is turning me away from the game, and if the next event is still like this, I will just delete the game altogether. There are many other games out there.

That's it I'm done with these events. I know it will sound like sour g****s but out of the last 4 events I got 9/10 for the first 2 with over 120 attempts on both and 14/20 for the last 2 with over 80 attempts each (shorter event timescale).

Each event I have opened with the middle option only and I can no longer be bothered as the chances seem to be getting slimmer each time and the events are getting more and more dominated by the company's desire for profit.

If the events genuinely get to you, then perhaps it might be better to skip it.
I skipped the Vials of Hellfire event and got a Manor out of it.
I played the Rings of Power event and got super frustrated stuck at 8 for 4 days.
This time round, I got to 19 and bought gems to get the 20 (got 15 honor too!)

If not, everytime you play such a box event, you have to understand and be prepared that even after many tries using the gold option, you might not get there. As free players, the two things that can compensate for gems are luck (most of us lack this) and determination (the more tries you attempt, the more likely you will get there).

We are after all only the vocal minority. It's ok to voice our opinions but let's not detract from the fact that we didn't play the game for the events and the events are just something extra at the end of the day.

Some comment(s) after the event:
1) For a dragon-themed event, it's kinda meh not to get a dragon in the end. A bunch of cool human units with dragon names yes, but at least toss us some real Dragon units.
2) Please don't come up with a similar auction style event too soon. Something like the old events will be better, at least I get to set up myself for some heartbreak in the end. This event I had no chance to be even in the top 250 although I was in the top 250 till the last 2 days.
3) Opening a box for 2plus k gold to get 15 honor points is really really really a low point.
4) Opening a box for 20 gems to get 15 honor points is really really really hilarious and damning at the same time.
5) The event kinda showed all the gem players I have never heard of or seen before.

I wonder if it is a sustainable business model to only have 250 customers? Even if they dump $100 into the game, $25k isn't a healthy income if this was a one man company. Instead of making it appealing for the masses to spend a little money, they have created an atmosphere where those of us who are playing for free and thinking about buying gems are so disillusioned that we WON'T buy gems or gold with real dollars. Like sports, parity is needed for interest.

Luck was on my side this event and I got my 20th Dragon Egg in OT. :cool: I was like Hobtuse and tempted to buy gems so I could get the 20th being at 19 eggs with less than a day left. I decided not too and stuck it out in OT and it paid off this time but if it didn't then you tell yourself, JUST ONE MORE. Now I have Dragon Caster to go with my Hydra. I missed the Warlord 9/10 and the Vial event was horrible for me 11/20. I do middle option only on all my attempts. On a side note, I do like the honor points and gold vs. grunts and an extra ally. Back to camping after leveling up a bit hunting for boxes.

Luck was definitely on your side, if you got 20. I got 9, for the 3rd consecutive time - which means I only got one real item. Every time I go to PVP, it seems that many people got at least 10 and now I am fighting a losing battle. I guess it was fun while it lasted. I'm just pissed that I wasted so much time on this game.

I am only a step away from deleting this game, all Funzio/Gree games and banning them and trashing them like we all did with the Zynga games. You would have thought they would have at least attempted to create some sort of parity. Oh well, off it goes. Make room for another game.

Got really lucky hs time, I gt to 10 eggs with only 12 hours left and changed over to the free option got to 13 after four free try's so I what he heck and got one more right at he end, ended up getting 15 my first ot try. So I've had 9,9,14,15 as a free player the last few events. I'm done with all the maps and prefer pve so I just use these games as a side quest.

At first I thought, "Great, I made it!" when it froze at 27 eggs, then I realized what it really meant and felt duped, got a pit in my stomach, and gambled it wouldn't move up 3 eggs in 30 minutes - was too steamed to drop another 20 gems.

Someone, somewhere wrote that it was a "slimy, scumbag move by Gree" and have to agree it was pretty low move. Guess I didn't notice it last time since I was in the middle of the pack for top 500 for the last event and woke up to the prize in my inventory.

I look at the whole thing a different way - the game is actually two fractioned games overlapped on top of each other - a free game and a paid game. The paid players will be (95% of the time) at a higher "level" than those around them on the same playing field and mostly competing with each other for some sort of perceived dominance. The non-GEM players play amongst themselves.

Its more like an elite picking on the plebeians. There's an inherent pecking order that is often enforced.

My reponse was to answer the difference between free versus gem player. Now if a player buys gems, then how he/she uses them is a whole other discussion just like how the strategy of the game is played amongst free versus gem players.

To be honest, after having got to understand this game a bit better over the last few days (thank you to all the old hands, esp the big munkey king :p ) I really don't see much difference with being a gem player or free player.

After all, a top level, gem buying, whale can of course repeatedly trash the smallest or biggest free player, BUT except for losing units (which should be reasonably easily replaced if you have a good IPH), what's the point? Yes, the gem player is effectively immune from retailation, but why even bother to try for revenge? After all, you just click and your buildings are back up again and you can get on with "life" in the PvE environment. Just be disciplined about vaulting your gold as required to stop it being "stolen" (not that its real money anyway, just be patient and more will roll in).

Of course, if you are interested in PvP, then you probably have to be a gem buyer to stand a reasonable chance of winning ... in which case, if you are not willing to spend lots of real world $$$ (I personally would not but its each person's choice), I would just look for a new game with a more level playing field. Just my 2 cents' worth.

I think you can be a free player and have plenty of success if pvp is your choice, for the most part you are matched against equals and shouldn't have any difficulty finding a fair fight or for that matter one that you have a distinct advantage in. I prefer quests and pve but I do pvp some and never have issues that I can't find an equal opponent. I think red is right, for the most part it's two games moneys players and free players. I guess once in whale territory you could be attacked by some mony spenders with much greater power, but vaulting you money and collecting from your building regularly will keep them away, why attack for nothing. I'm level 74 right now , I think, and don't have any issues with whales. Could change but fact remains they have nothing to gain and will quickly go away. If pvp is your thing you wil have equals all along as well because it is separated by power. As a whole, in my view, spending cash on this game gets you no place other than in that other game with the money spenders .

Hey I never said that I was angry or furious that I received the indestructible units so I think maybe you read a little bit too much in my post.

All I was trying to point out was that the recent events seemed to be more directed at Gem buyers (who, I would like to reiterate I do not begrudge - they can purchase what they want, when they want with their money it is of no concern to me and I do not feel that the purchasing of Gem units constitutes cheating in any way) in order to reach the ultimate prize. I have reconciled my self to this in the previous ebvents both on KA and MW and was happy getting the prizes at 3, 5, 7 and 9 and was trying to state (albeit a little bit laboured whilst on a 14 hour night shift) that in the last two events I couldn't even get to the third prize which in my opinion shows that the odds of opening are now more linked to Gem opens rather than middle option gold opens.

I was trying to state was that instead of setting alarms to open crates on the hour every hour that I can, I will now only open as and when I can be bothered and not care anymore about trying to get the units - ie I'm done with the events on KA.

At least on MW I can pretty much gurantee that I will get to 9 units every time so I know I will get 4 indestructible units.

Calm down, you will get it if you were in the top 250- however (and this is a big however) if multiple people got the same number of eggs at the bottom end of the 250 list the award is given out accoring to level. So if 20 people all got 30 eggs and there were only 15 spaces available the 5 people on the lowest levels will miss out. This was explained on the rules of each event.

If you have sent in a support ticket, they will need to check the information first and they will get back to you. If no response in a couple of days, send another one and pm CCMark and ask if he will look at getting a response to your ticket number.

I am trying to calm down but when you spend lots of money on gems and 6 days going on KA getting no sleep playing the event trying to get into the top 250 then get nothing and hear nothing it starts to annoy lol

Getting extra tokens in OT is not against the rules, but you're not going to get into the winner list that way. We take a snapshot the moment the event is scheduled to end.

That is perfect to ensure the winners actually made it within the time frame..
My issue is that you guys freeze the leaderboard, let's say it was 28 a believe,
I could try to use gems to reach it, but because I cannon see the changes in the leaderboard in the last hour, I do not want to risk making it to 28 before the event ends, and then get nothing because the bottom 250 moved to 29 eggs

It's also done in the last 30 minutes to make the competitors unsure if they are holding their place! This generates fierce competition and is standard practice in many many events. Nothing unusual to drive the crazy spenders more wild... don't whinge unless your a crazy spender.... if you are... just go crazy! Lol
