New event format? Ha. I'm done with events. It's not even worth playing now unless you spend gold, which I will not do. I have 6 chips and 6 pointless money prizes of $10-50k. The amount of XP I've levelled up just to get those safes wasn't worth it at all. It would be more beneficial for me to camp for a few weeks, which I will now do. I will ignore all future events.
Seriously, if you idiots keep spending hundreds, if not thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars a month on this game, the quality of this game will continue to deteriorate. Funzio are barely even trying to disguise the shameless leaching of you frankly retarded players anymore. The current event literally screams "WHOEVER SPENDS THE MOST REAL MONEY WINS LOL HEY DID YOU SEE THAT OTHER GUY HE SPENT MORE THAN YOU SPEND SOME MORE TO MAKE SURE YOU BEAT HIM".
The only possible reasons why you would spend that much gold on an imaginary item on a mobile game are:
You are a multi-millionaire. Fair enough. Have fun. You have more money than sense.
You have a genuine medical addiction to the game and are wasting a lot of your monthly income to fund it.
You are straight up retarded.
If you spend a lot of gold, look at the above options. Pick one. That's you.
There are no other options. If your argument is "I find it fun so I don't see it as a waste of money", congratulations you come under point #2 and are in denial. If you claim to be retarded as a joke, congratulations you are clearly too clever to be retarded and come under point #2, in denial and using humour as a mask for your addiction.

you can do quite well in you have the time -if you want to be successful in any of these events using cash option to open the safe all you need is quit your job play this game 24/7. Yes that the secret. That is the oonly way to be successful in the event without using gold.
This game is great for those of you who are unemployed best way to rid of being depressed about not having a job since this game give you a purpose weekly.
Im no.3 for sure well if I spent money anyways

if you think the hundred bucks can bring you some quick way of progress in game, then you are completely type#2.
Those bucks will only get you to a new level of obsession, by then you will gradually lose control on spending trying to keep the "advance" you've created.
More time spending and more money burnt, that's what you will end up with.
Like I already said, there are no other options. Anyone who tries to justify it without admitting they fit into one of the 3 situations I listed comes under #2 - addict in denial.

Mig,but since we players meet each other at forum(no place in RL can do that), we should appreciate and encourage each other actually.
At least I know I'm sick even as a free player,just look how "senior" I am at this forum and English is not even my first language(my posts would triple if in my own language lol)
The reason I will never spend money on this game is that I can walk away easily when life needs me.
For those spenders and highly obsessed free players, we more or less drifted away a bit from real life, just trying to find a place hang out and spend times with someone with common interests,we understand and tolerate any type of #2 gamers.(No no no, not type #3 !)

True enough, but if the game cost a small amount instead would it have a massive impact on the numbers playing? It'd still be a great game and only the tightest of wads would run away. On the other, up-side there wouldn't be the now entrenched divisions between the seemingly super-rich, and those who are happy to spend moderate sums together with those who either can't afford or won't pay for the monetary arms race.

If they charged a flat fee for the app in the first place, I would buy it. If they had to remove gold and said "Sorry, we can't afford to run this game for free" and closed it, that would be fine because it's just a game and I'd find another game to play.
Don't hate just because I'm not stupid enough to throw my monthly wages on a regular basis to the fat cats at Funzio. They just keep making more and more *Donate Your Real Money Here* features, and people are all "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" before they can even get the words out.
I don't blame Funzio. If I was the game developer, I'd keep cleaning all the suckers out of their money too but it's really not much different from running a betting shop or a casino. They are openly preying on addicts and barely even bothering to disguise the fact that they want you to blow hundreds or thousands of gold to gain some new imaginary weapon that, on its own, will barely even give you any advantage over anyone in this imaginary world of CC.
My point is they will keep pushing the limit of how greedy they can be until people finally curb their spending. But while so many idiots keep spending thousands of dollars a year on this game, they have no reason to stop making shameless money-grabbing additions or even try to hide their intentions.

Please provide us with a complete list of what you spend money on. I'm willing to bet that a large percentage of what you spend money on is completely frivolous. And if not...then you are really not very fun to be around.
Funzio, errr, Gree, is a for profit company. They are compelled by their owners, the shareholders, to make money. This is how business works. Their customers pay willingly for their product. It's not some huge conspiracy.

Money does speed up the progress and you dont need to get obsessed just because you spend money, maybe if you spend money you dont have but not if its "freespending money".

What's interesting here is human nature and our addictive tendencies. I don't spend gold on the game yet I am still addicted to the game. I don't know why. I can't possibly "win", yet I still go through the motions every chance I get. The best I've done is break out of the game controlling my sleep patterns. I think we all need deep psychological counseling.
