But at this point the damage is done and I believe there needs to be a solution found.

I used it to mean that people everywhere have certain feelings about issues. Though prisoners have killed, stolen, bribed etc. they frown upon child molesters. Do prisoners have the right to point fingers like that? Well whatever the answer is, they still have those feelings.

Dr BoneCrusher, just two points in response. First, that other groups may be more capable of responding does not justify the behavior or really make it less awful. Wrong is wrong. I don't think that is what you mean, but I just wanted to note that. Second, by virtue of his career G Wiz is a better authority on the subject, but I assure you there are varying degrees of cognitive impairments, and many mentally handicapped people I know are very capable of understanding and responding to abusive behavior, which only makes the conduct that more hurtful.
