its great, but i dont want to enter hundreds of units and then manage them on a day to day basis.

This has been asked many times. At the moment, the app doesn't sync with MW server but I can look into this once v1.3 is stable and released. Another bug I found and fixed with beta 10 - app crash when u exit donation screen for iPhone 4S and below. I have fixed it and working on import army bug for CSV generated by Microsoft.

Hey Khimsoo, I found the bug why my IPH is off by exactly 100000 after clearing my buildings and then manually calculating each IPH myself.

The cause of this bug is resulted from some buildings not being included in the calculation of IPH.

The following buildings are not included in the IPH calculation:

Munitions Stockpile x 2
Ore Mine x 2

Both of these buildings, at level 10, equate to 100000 in IPH

First I want to say this app is great, been using it for months and the upgrade is awesome. Thank you for putting what must be an incredible amount of time in on this.

My att stat is off by 7% and def by 4% (5000 and 3000) with Toolkit showing higher numbers. I have an assault bear and I assume that may be why my att stat is off. Am I missing anything else? I went through all my attack and defence units to make sure Toolkit was up to date.

On the home page, click on the 'More' button and then the 'Update Data' button. Also update Loot items. If you don't see images, click on the cog wheel in the top left of the home page and then click on the Images button so that the latest images are pulled to your app.

No you can't because of security issues so I'm afraid you have to manually input your army data. Transfers from the game to the app is not going to happen I'm afraid.

It is worth the initial pain and it's not too bad to maintain, so long you add new units, as you get them in the game! :)

Just started using this and read this entire thread. I understand we can't yet "sync" off the data from with in the actual game. In the mean time, my question.

What is the best practice workflow for using toolkit to update battle unit losses?

So I attack someone and I loose one or more units per attack and the attack is actually 10 or more individual attacks etc. Obviously you know the game and know where I'm going. The loss show up for like a second may list a few items and only if the Battle status won/loss screen doesn't pop up and therefore you don't see individual items lost and their qty, etc. I don't think I could even do a screen shot at the right moment to capture the losses, etc.

So how would I go about accounting for these losses? How are others doing this?

Once you type in all of your units into the CSV file how do you get it into the toolkit? Can you import the csv file? If so how does that work? When I click on the Import button the app crashes. Is this a future feature? I LOVE the toolkit for buildings.

I'm noticing that the casualty rates listed for specific units in the Toolkit are not consistent across the unit descriptions. For instance, the Advanced Air Transport, which is categorized in MW and in the Toolkit as having a "Very Low" casualty rate, is listed in the Toolkit as having a .20% casualty rate. In contrast, the Super Hornet, which is categorized in MW and in the Toolkit as having only a "Low" casualty rate, is listed in the toolkit as having a .15% casualty rate -- obviously lower than the Advanced Air Transport.
So, which is incorrect, the Modern War app description or the Toolkit numbers? I am seeing this conflict between MW's casualty category and Toolkit's casualty number for more than one unit.

nevermind...after spending 3 hours reading all the posts since the beginning, it is no possible yet. all your work is appreciated, but it would pay off if it auto sync with MW account as there is no point in doing it manually from my perspective. I'll keep an eye out ofr future releases with an auto update feature as keeping track of losses/gains in every battle manually is not worth it.

For a free app, after the amount of blood, sweat and effort Khimsoo put into this, I sure hear a lot of whiners. If you are too lazy to input your units just delete the app and quit whining about it. It is the best tool for modern war that has ever come along, AND it's free

I haven't seen the above issue addressed anywhere in subsequent posts. There is obviously a problem with either the casualty rates listed by Gree or the casualty rates listed in the Toolkit. To cite yet one more of many inconsistencies: The Nuclear Sub has a casualty rate of Medium, yet the numerical casualty rate listed for it in the Toolkit is 0.06% -- which puts it at a lower casualty rate than the Aircraft Carrier with its Very Low casualty rate (listed in the Toolkit as 0.07%).

I just updated the app and the loot list is blank. Buildings and units are still there.

Try to copy the plist from mw into the toolkit folder manually via ifunbox or iTunes. There is a problem syncing up with mw server. This should fix the problem of missing units. Just don't delete the app and database, all your data will be gone.

Not sure what went wrong. Since an update during the China WD event, I have lost all faction data, WD units and loot. Loot, epic boss, epic loot screens are blank. Click on Faction, get an alert that says "Please sync before continuing". click OK and then screen shows list of units in MW. No Anniv Center or WD buildings listed.

When I do an update, it goes rather fast. Not normal to me and the Loot update used to take a while to finish loading and is now instantaneous. Also started to kick out of the program quite often.

I deleted the toolkit, installed it again, deleted all files, installed it again and I can't get it to work right again. I'm using an iPod Touch, iOS 6.1.3. Any suggestions? I really LOVE this program. Thanks so much!

Guys its a minor issue. Your units, buildings, and everything else are still there. Just the PLST file that feeds the toolkit info doesn't have the data to display them. You should be ok after the next PLST update, which should be last next Tuesday. I would try then or Wednesday. The big guy is working on some updates to the toolkit but its a good ways off yet. Please hang in there. This is something out of control of the author.

How does the Import feature work? I thought that since we can't sync with our account that the import would somehow take as input the cvs file from the export. In that way I could export, use Excel to enter data from the game screens, then import back into Toolkit.

I don't know, but wish to know, how others are updating the toolkit with their inventory. I only have one device so I can't have MW open alongside toolkit on another device and enter the data. So, I exported then entered the inventory via Excel and want to update toolkit from that cvs file.

How are others using toolkit to keep track of their inventory?

I got a fresh Update this morning, and everything is updated including the new building. I would suggest update 4 to 5 times to ensure the right files are loaded. Yes this is annoying but its a Gree server issue not a toolkit issue.

Thanks for the great app! I also wanted to let you know the cost to upgrade a few buildings that are incorrect in your app. These numbers do not include bonuses.

Wind Farm:
6 -> 7 costs $265,000 and takes 54 hours to complete.

Natural Gas Plant:
5 -> 6 costs $1,100,000 and takes 66 hours to complete.
6 -> 7 costs $1,800,000 and takes 72 hours to complete.

Do I uninstall and reinstall the app? I love it --- helps immensely when I am planning my next upgrade while my current one is taking it's 3 weeks to complete. But all of the recent (last month or two) buildings and units are missing. Is it a simple uninstall and reinstall? Why doesn't the app store tell me of this?

This is a great tool, when it is current. The data in mine is two months old. I update the data at least once per week, including the loot. But its still showing boss events from china and loot loot events from somewhere else. There was a brief time when the Jinang complexes were on there, but then they dissappeared. No Curragh Engineering Building or any Irish units at all. This lack of updating is killing this app. And that's without considering that you can't automatically sync your army. I don't mind doing the buidlings manually, but the army is just too big and changes too much for manual sync. This must be fixed. When it is, I'm sure there would be many people willing to pay for this app.

PLEASE HELP! I go to the 'army' section and I see all these awesome stat units with RED letters and have '*' on the begining and end of the red names. The units like the "ac130" or about 20+ awesome similar units but when you click on them it just says "unit is undestructible" and no ther info. It would be nice if it would tell me how to get it OR IF ITS still POSSIBLE TO GET IT. If so it should have a limited edition ribbon on the image. Ive never seen or only a few of these VERY RARE AND COOL units anyone got answers or can tell me how to get them? PLEASE HELP

Shame this fantastic app doesn't work anymore but if GREE has indeed prevented access to the data files to stop hacking as pointed out be Devin, then I agree that it is a good thing. Let's see if this move does indeed slow down the proliferation of hackers in GREE games.

GREE also need to look at database security server side while they are at it to prevent unauthorised access!

For the last few weeks since IOS show ... after version number,
I haven't been able to load the new data,
even with full name from android without the ...

Latest version that works is mw_20140605_5
Last files listed in Android that DON'T load are mw_20140610_3385, mw_20140612_34068 & mw_20140617_34336

Nope same deal here Larry. Driving me nuts too. It's the most information you can get.. Helps me track upgrades and what cash building to do next etc. I really hope they fix the display issue or start providing current data package number.....

The tool kit is officially going to die now. The display glitch is corrected from gree in new update. I'm showing mw_20140623_34604 but when updating nothing happens. Pretty sure gree changed something to keep us from getting helpful info..... This tool actually provided us with helpful info like what the units stats were and what building to upgrade next. Info that would be nice if gree would provide but won't. Thanks gree!

I think the developer quit the game and now the new longer file names aren't be handled and there is no one to update it.

As scary as this might sound, I would be ok with GREE designing a similar tool and charge $0.99 for it, that how great of an app (tool) I think it is (plus add current live vault/unit/building import feature)

If you come up with a solution please let me know! The toolkit is what helped me figure out what buildings I wanted to upgrade next. (yes I could do it manually, but why!) Also loved that it had all my boosts in there to check and see what another iph or attack boost would do for me.

I wonder if the toolkit dev got stopped because maybe it wasn't encrypted before but it is now...
I'll check with older version if it was encrypted before or not.

The db file header doesn't match the SQLite header so it's either encrypted as you say or it's some other kind of database format. At any rate it could be a very strong reason why development on the toolkit stopped.

Let me know what you find on the old db.

I've got some tricks up my sleeve that I could try. Stay tuned.

The toolkit goes nowhere near the SQL encrypted local .db and the developer is current on sabbatical.

Right, no need for hacking encrypted db files. The code in the About page in the app is the source reference for retrieving all the necessary uptodate information. The question is simply where the code is used. There used to be URLs that would access .plist files based on that data version. Numerous plist files with plaintext content, data tables. All retrievable if you had the code and knew the url. That url has changed recently though, it seems. *shrug*

Please do not hack anything.
Publicly accessible data is different than trying to decode data or find backdoors to retrieve info you're not supposed to have. Careful of that new code-of-conduct rule! ;P

Good app , crashes a few times :/ need to do something about adding units, no way am i going through them individually :)

Micky knows the deal (yo Mick!). Khimsoo built this when it was still possible to pull the data from the server. When they patched that he switched it to pull from the local cache. If you knew what you were doing and were jailbroken, you could copy the files manually. With the new numbering it looks like they've gone away from plists into a secure DB. In short, bye bye toolkit. It was a nice little tool, especially when it was first built.

I used to do the same on android from the plist files (data drop files). But then gree changed it to .db files and then encrypted it. Wonder if the toolkit stopped working on iOS for the same reason
