How many bosses can you beat without using gold??

I would like to know how far all of you can make it on this epic boss without having to use gold!

If you like, you can also post your stats and atk density. Using this info we might be able to figure if total attack score, or attack density is the best strategy for the event.

I just beat boss number 22 in 11 hits. I'm thinking 23 or 24 will be my last free boss.

Of course, I'm assuming everyone is using the 13 medium option hits.

try this man, go to the end in xp of you level, like only 40 xp and you will level up. Attack the boss 5 times using the method the foumites devised. hit a pve mission to level up. after leveling up you will have a full stamina. hit the boss again using that and you will have 10 hits head start with 2 hours to go

I stopped after boss 13...started taking 16-18 hits to kill the guy. With KA and CC getting new events, and the very high possibility of them coming over to MW as well, I think my gold might best be saved for that. For the people who were starting to have trouble with the boss after around #10 though, did any of you get to 20? Curious to know how many med packs it would take to get from 25 - 30...oh well..

I'm currently on 15, just about reached my limit for free attacks i think, and my density is only 15. 275 allies, 16500 attack.
I started on the 15th with full health, got him down to half before i died, then waited until i was over half health and attacked twice again without dying, retreating when i was about to die. This worked for me but i dno how many more levels i can manage, gonna try 16 today if i have time.

I've had 2 rare boats and a plane for free though so i'm not too fussed about getting to 30 :)

I found out they have fixed it and tried again.

Number 14 was my hardest and required over 700,000 hit points to drop him. I mistimed a level up, figured I was so close I would spend 20 gold to drop him.

Hit number 15 for the 3/2 sequence, did the run on my PVE for the points to level up (Talk about fortune there, 1x Silent Thunder, 1x Venal Fighter, 1x Aerospace Osprey and 1x Brigand Lightning). Put in the second set of 3/2, and he is well on the way to dropping for what looks like less points than number 14?

Even tried a Free hit (66% roughly of the cash option) as I am confident of getting him down, have another 6 hits available and I think three cash or five free should be enough.

If those in the lower levels are willing to jump up a few levels then they should all go pretty close to the final prize, probably without Gold.

I am about to max out with 13 hits on level 12 boss. Unless I spend gold, level up, or waste alot of money and valor on units I will never beat a boss above level 12. Something in here does not add up. I am currently w/o bear bonus an attack of 61,438 and i am doing about 60K attack and if 13 hits isn't enough already, i don't want to know what it will take to get above that. Once again its looks like some players are nerfed by design! thats what i get for building up my forces.

Just beat boss #17 and I believe that's as far as I can go with a maximum of 13 time attacks. However, I got 7 commons, 6 uncommons and 4 rares, so it has been a rather fruitful event for me. Statistically talking, I'd probably get all commons from boss 18 and beyond, so I wouldn't even think of using gold for those :)

I've topped out at boss 24. Will probably use the gold method using 20 gold per boss and see how far that goes. My problem is that I'm at boss 24 and still only getting the common units - but indestructible so not too pissed.

It almost seems like the devs have made it easier for the lower levels to get further on purpose, to let some of these players get indestructible units at reasonable costs. Like one of my allies said " it's a training exercise to get us to spend gold" and that sounds about right! I know that if this had been available when I started, back in the stone age, I would have been happy as a clam with even common units, hoping that my rivals didn't figure it out!

Level 59 with each medium hit causing about 11k each hit (i spent a ton of money and valor buying comando's and SH to help increase my attack value and i just failed my first attempt at level 19. (although i can make some adjustments and finish 19 i won't be able to get done with 20 unless i spent gold or i could finish the event if there was someway i could increase my income by 12k. (virtually no way unless i had another 40k valor and 30 million dollars)

I'm curious......If i had 25k raw offense i suspect i could beat this event.....

Which makes me wonder.
If i was level 10 would i only need 4k offense?
If i was level 20 would i only need 8k offense?
If i was level 30 would i only need 12k offense
If i was level 40 would i only need 16k offense?
If i was level 50 would i only need 20k offense?

Again i have nothing to support this assumption but i think it would be fairly accurate using medium cash getting in 13 attacks.

Can we start to post level and attack damage on the bosses? I want to know what level and attack stats you made it to until you coulldn't make it any further?

For a unit that's 600/500, this is an easy event. Seq got it just by watching the timer. This would cost about 1250 gold if it was in the store so compaired to the rewards, you must say it's easy.

Ok I have a question for you.

For you it is a cash only event, but do you have gold units in your army which you bought prior to this event which gives you a powerful enough army to beat the warlord.

I have not bought gold, but at level 18 there is no way I can beat the war lord with cash only. I have to use gold to continue.

I have only bought a couple of low stay gold units with rl cash, but I do have quite a few nice gold units from crates and events. I used tapjoy gold for crates and just ingame cash for events. To this day I've never spent more then 40bucks on gold. I'm just what they say, a smart conservative player ;)

I am level 40 now. Started at 38 and it takes me 2 medkits since boss 27 and one 25-26. Have 10k boosted attack and that is pretty good for a level 38. Don't even have the advanced air base or advanced sea dock. I think it is easier on those that attack is low not the level as much. Half way done on boss 29...and my composit base is going to have to wait as the gold went for the tank now.

i posted it last night and went to bed. worked all day so i couldnt look at it. as soon as I got off work I went to battle shamba!!! was eagerly waiting for it all day.

Shamba lvl 23 took me 13 hits. 12 medium hits put his health at almost zero. The last hit killed him and did some extra damage.

480 allies (max)
atk 44662

i got another rare!! 3 rare boats in a row. love the boat. stats for me are 72/159 after my boosts that comes to 84/216 :) very happy to be getting 3 excellent units for free. i will use gold to finish this event.

you are getting ripped off HARDCORE!!!! you have higher attack than I do, but I beat boss 23 which is about 3 times harder than boss 13. we are still pretty close to the same lvl arent we? what lvl are you now?

great results on your loot. i believe you are wrong about recieving commons the rest of the event. the splash screen says the tougher bosses have a higher chance of giving out better items. i can attest to this. the first 20, i had 18 commons, 1 uncommon, 1 rare. then boss 21, 22, and 23 gave me rares.

how is that possible? we are the same lvl and you attack stat is only 57% of mine. This seems to support the idea that the boss health is increased with the ally count. i really disagree with that setup but w/e. I added to max allies for this event because i thought all that mattered was total ally count. pretty sure i'd still have about 30k atk if i dropped allies down to your lvl. i have almost 500 snipers coming to battle! your atk density is only 27! yea its a little better than mine, but you really shouldnt be doing that good in this event.

your boosted atk density is 21.8

on the other hand, poops (looking at his base now) unboosted density is 35!!! and he cant make it past lvl 13!! this is crazy.


I have a new theory: the more you increase your attack stat from the start of the event, the better you will do.

maybe seqwins did so well because he was lvling up in such low levels. each lvl he brings more allies. this greatly increased his attack stat. this is assuming he is at max allies (idk if he is)

I have increased my attack stat by 11,000 since the event started. went to max allies, bought 400 commandos, purchases 100 more stealth frigates. upgraded my infantry boost building which will be complete in 3 hrs. hope that helps

@poo/andym... maybe mine is higher now... but have almost decided to blow it off as unattainable w/o gold!!! ...so i'm debating on attacking the boss again...

it's really screwed up that there is NO NUMBERS associated with the stupid meter!!! that's more poor execution imo...

the only reason i can think of to intentionally not include numbers on the meter is because there are specific bias queries in the event mechanics that are intended to sabotage targeted players where they are... no consistency in how much is required of to kill the boss from player to player... and we've already established that this is true!!!

i have only lvled up once. pretty much camping except doing 1 pvp for every boss.

killed number 24 with 13 hits. i was shocked.

number 25 looks to be much harder though.

i am UK. i was using an excellent meat shield strategy, bringing 500 snipers to battle. before now atk stat really didnt help anything and I was already strong enough to kill almost anyone. then this event started. i just so happened to have 33 million saved up for a lvl 5 oil rig. dumped it all on commandos. then i've been buying about 20 commandos between each boss. each commando raises my atk stat by 10 or 11 points. so it is the best bang for the buck. in a normal circumstance i would have never bought them because they die like little pansys

my current atk stat is 45700 and i'm doing about 41000 every hit on the boss

seeing as i have over 400 cammandos now i figured i'd upgrade my infantry boost since it only took 36 hrs. the building had 1 minute left until completion. i did my first 3 attacks. retreated. came back and waited for the boost building to complete. went and did another 2 attacks for the EXACT same damage.

Seeing this with every loot unit, but here is one example, Eventide Griphen (rare blue plane):

there are different prizes for each lvl. perhaps you won the prize, then lvled up and now you are in a higher tier and seeing better prizes?

Level 75. Stopped at 31. Doesn't seem worth it to go further. Have you tried retreating and letting it sit past the 2 hour timer?

It's NOT unit density. I could only get 8 before I ran out of time. So I increased my ally count. My unit density has dropped quite a bit, but I'm about to get boss 9 with time to spare.
A screwed up event that I'll be glad to see the end of.

well i added 1k to attack and no change in the number of attack against boss or the next one so that does not work ! already had max allies , only way i can beat 17 is if i level up in the 2 hours against boss to recharge . there is not that many people who have a bigger attack at my level so guessing they are milking the gold from people with this event .i got no rares either so that has put me off getting any more crates in future as same kind of thing . i must have been really lucky to get the rare in the only 3 crates i got . i can't really win this even only buy it so not much of an event to me . i prefer the crates events at least i have a slim chance to win on that event and it doesn't break the bank in game cash like this one .

I finally got to 20 but only because I leveled and that resets your health. Even with the issues I did end up with some great FREE units.

When I first tried the event, Nothing would happen when I would attack. It would not spend any money, and I would not lose any health, neither would the warlord.. After the 3rd or 4th attempt it jumped up to level 3 and I started to have to pay more to attack. I did not receive any loot. This time I was able to cause damage but I accidentally spent 20 gold refilling my healthbar... not a big deal because it was free gold I got from pvp ranking and watching trailers. after spending the gold and failing I was finally able to beat him once and did receive a loot item... this moved me up to level 4. Since I have hit level 4 I have been unable to beat the warlord. I spend 50k a pop, I use a timer so I don't waste time. I am level 116 with a 17k attack. I have tried multiple times and it's impossible to beat him and get to the next level. I like the idea of this event but I have personally found it frustrating and discouraging when I see others that have posted getting great loot items and I've only been able to beat him once...

how to get maximum hits on the boss event. make sure you have full health. when the boss appears do 3 hits right away and wait one minute and instead of 4 hits at the start you will get 5. then when the counter is up don't hit right away. wait at least another minute or two and you will get another two hits instead of one. then repeat that three more times for a total of 13 hits instead of 8. doing this and you will advance further in the event.*

I have been doing that and on level 17 it leaves 1 tiny bit of his life the same as mine when I die , not levelling up especially to do it and if I do that is as far as I can go without gold and I have a higher AT&T and lower level , went up 1k AT&T and it didn't change my hit stat no boost noticed for all the cash either . Worth the try, manbeast. You have a good attack density. I have 160 allies and and only 13300 attack with boost (less 1000 without boost I guess) thats why I topped at #18.

I'm appreciating your work on researching this event. Here's my stats;

I'm level 58. I have 85 allies (added 14 since event started). My Attack stat is 8332 (up almost 1300 since event stated). I'm UK. I do 7738 damage to the boss per hit.

I've also spent millions on buying new units, plus the 5k valor I was saving for a rainy day ;).

Till now I've failed to get past boss ten (using an alarm for maximum attacks). I've added a few mor allies and will take another go at him in a minute.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to your feedback.

I know bigflan. We've put similar information in a different thread. That's why it would be really useful to get an idea of everyone's stats, so that we can see if a pattern emerges.
I know that you play as Russia, but I would be surprised if that turns out to be a factor. Thanks for your info though. :)

I think it depends first on attk/lvl and then on what your attack was when you started, i.e you should have started with 1 allie and then added 200 allies and I think 30 would have been easy without gold.

Maybe the ideal number of allies is the maximum you can take to battle for your level. Then just get the best attack you can.
I was low allies but I've increased and managed to get Boss 10. I couldnt get him before. I went from 80 allies to 137 and had no prob beating him. I think I'll be getting 11 in the next 10 mins.
At 137 allies and L75 my attack is 10,453.

When this is all over, I'm dropping back to the 50-80 region again.

flans atk density: 25.4 has made it to boss 22 or so

aow atk density: 24.5 made it to boss 10

my atk density: 23.4 beat boss 24 without gold

this is what i believed at first too. thats why as soon as the event started i bought 400 commandos and 100 stealth frigates and went to max allies, raising my atk stat 10k.

however, there are so many exceptions to the rule! i've seen people post on here who have half their total allies and they are making it to boss 20 bc of their unit density (i'm guessing) and then there are posters like poopenshire who is lvl 115, 430 allies, and 63k raw attack. this gives him an attack density of 37!!!! and he cant beat boss number 10.

it seems like the only theory that makes sense is the one in post #94 by papa.

Finally got lvl 19 after adding about 60 allies and increasing my attack about 4000. Currently lvl 69, att 15119, allies 179, density 21.1. Maybe I'll sit back for a day or so and add more allies and generate some cash for units and get 1 or 2 more.

after you take the first 3 hits you lose 75 health points, wait a few minutes attack two more times (5 hits and you die), level up and repeat for a total of 10 free hits. If done quickly enough you could probably actually get 15 free hits, start boss (timer = 2 hrs) 3 attacks + 5 minutes later 2 more attacks (total of 5 attacks in 7 minutes), leave and level up (1 minute). Timer now at 1 hr 52 minutes. return to boss and attack 3 times (timer at 1 hour 50 minutes), wait 5 minutes and attack 2 more times for a total of 10 attacks with the timer at 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes). Now wait 100 minutes and attack 3 times (13 attacks 4 minutes left on timer), with 45 seconds left use your last two hits (EDIT: using the every 30 minute strategy below by manbeast, you could get 6 additional hits (30, 60, 90 minuts) for a total of 16 free hits with a level up)

Total of 15 free hits assuming you can level up?

this gives u 10 minutes to use med kits and finish him off if the first 13 didnt do it. buy a med kit. hit 3 times. wait 1 minute. hit 2 more times. 5 hits for each med kit

you only have to get to 30 for the tank. if you already made it to 24, i'd say go for 30!!! if you use a good strategy it'll cost you less than 200 gold.

just beat boss number 26. took me 16 hits. boss 25 took me 15 hits. i dont think deleting allys and then re-adding them helped me at all. i was hoping it would be enough to take the boss down to 13 hits so i wouldnt have to spend gold, but nope.

my first attack with 430 allies did 39,000 damage. all attacks with 480 allies did 41,000 damage. maybe it would be more effective for someone with less allies as it would make a bigger difference.

I increased my attack score shown in my profile by over a thousand...and it only increased the dmg done to the boss by ~500.

i think you should have waited the 26 minutes, did 2 attacks, then used a medi pack. why?

Hmm, yeah - you're right! I haven't been focusing well enough. I'm doing this taking a bit of a stroll around the courtyard at work (WiFi outside - check; WiFi inside - negative), then heading back inside. I've been doing it every 26 minutes. :) Needless to say it can be a bit difficult to ponder the various options. But I will keep that in mind for next time!

To work out the most cost effective way to boost your attack stat, don't just look at the attack score itself, consider it against the current base score of your lowest attack unit. You might be surprised at what actually turns out to be your best unit. Example is if snipers are your meat shield unit with attack score of 5 then commandos and strike eagles give you the best bang for your buck.

However if your lowest attack unit is submarines or seals with an attack of ten, then it will be Biowarfares and Super Hornets.

21 11 hits
22 11 hits
23 13 hits
24 13 hits
25 15 hits
26 16 hits
27 17 hits


keep in mind, my attack stat was not static. i continued buying cammandos until boss 25, but this should give you an idea

flan- me and you seem to have topped out at almost the same spot. this info should help you out. it'll at least show you how much gold you'll have to spend to make it to 30

Q- thats why i said to add one commando to his stat and see how much it goes up. for some reason, a commando replacing my sniper made my attack stat go up by either 10 or 11 each time. they were an amazing bang for the buck. it'll hurt watching 3 of them die in every fight though.

I am definitely at my last one now, after the game was fixed and I started again got over the 23rd one with the help of a level up and 20 gold, it was a little over 1,000,000 points. Did some numbers and figured if number 30 had 1,500,000 points then I could get him down for 80 gold, probably 100 as the cash cost would be over 10,000,000 for me and I would run out at the end.

Looked at what I already have from this event, (6 Rare, 7 uncommon, 10 common, around 3,000 in Gold equivalent) and figured for under 500 Gold I could get to the final prize so decided to give it a go.

Started on number 24, first three shots and the marker hardly moved, did some quick calculations and figured his stat had jumped almost 500,000 points........indicating the level you are at plays a huge part in the calculation as I went from 127 to 128 to get the additional hits on number 23......

This is definitely telling me that this event is now over for me.

All I need now is a switch so I can turn it off...

Thinking along the lines of the strength of the opponent is also connected into the average strength of players in a set range/number/??? around your level.

I took a step closer to the 300k mega players when I went to level 128 and figure that is why the huge jump. There must be some interaction along those lines otherwise those with mega stats wouldn't even raise a sweat taking down number 30.

The game design could also be such that only a certain number of these can be won, just like the crate events. It may even be that there are a certain number for each level and as one is awarded the numbers go up.

As always would have liked to get to the finish but have to settle for what I have which isn't bad at 6 rare, 7 uncommon and the rest common looking to be above the odds compared to most.

No units lost fighting the Elite event, however if you are attacked whilst you are in the process of attacking him it leads to some rather odd situations, happened to me and I ended up exiting the fight screen and going to the attack screen against the opponent who had just attacked me.

I'm out of this event as I think many are, and with days to go.
Unlike all the previous crate events where there was a chance for anyone to win the big prize, with or without gold, players in this event soon realise their limits and call it a day.
From all the posts I've read, there doesn't seem to be a right way to win the prize, one that can be applied to everyone. It seems some low level players with poor stats do better than those with sound strategies and high stats. I don't have time to solve yet another Modern War puzzle. I need to stick to my long term goals and strategy.
Thanks for my one rare, one uncommon, and nine commons but that's my lot, but good luck to those that are still trying.

Been having a play with the free hits to get an idea of how many points I would be facing if I tried the next level.

My level 25 has over 1.5 million points and would cost me around ten million just to take him down so to me your event 10 million is just chump change....

I do find the mechanics of this event in making the calculation quite odd. My raw unit density is over 30 so guess that isn't a defining factor.

Well me and you both finished our free bosses at 24. I was able to beat 27 with only 1 med-pack (17 hits). just started boss 28. Watch for my results in the first post.

I think you're right here. On my low level, cash only game, I started with only around 850 attack. It's now at 1469 and I just took out the level 25 boss. I still don't think I can quite get all 30 though. I'm up to 12 hits required to defeat. Hopefully, I snag rare items with the next couple defeats and can keep going.

22 hits shouldnt have cost u 4 med packs!! here is why:

13 free hits and u should have 10 mins left.
do a med pack.
attack 3 times, total: 16 hits
wait a minute, 2 more hits: 18 hits
buy another med pack, 3 hits: 21 hits
wait a minute, 2 hits: 23 hits

2 med kits!! and u should still have an extra 5 minutes

Below are my results for acquiring the Warlord Siege Tank and the strategy I used (much like manbeast, but sometimes I allowed a little longer sit time because I started getting glitches).

Strategy* (I used a 10-hit method, ideally I would have used manbeast's 13-hit method (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?36667-How-many-bosses-can-you-beat-without-using-gold&p=309923&viewfull=1#post309923)):
01:59:59: Launch Boss only when health pack is full (100HP at 1 HP/min)
01:59:00: Health pack 1: 3 hits (-25/hit)
01:57:00: Wait 2 minutes: 2 hits (-25 hit and -2 hit), then wounded
00:07:00: Wait 100 minutes to replenish to full health pack
00:06:30: Health pack 2: 3 hits (-25/hit)
00:04:00: Wait 2 minutes 2 hits (-25 hit and -2 hit), then kill boss or wounded
00:02:00: Use 1 or 2 gold health packs if boss not killed in step 6
*I used the 10-hit method for lack of time, and came back after 100 minutes for my next round. Ideally to maximize the health bar, I would recommend the 13-hit method to get the incremental hits before the full 100 minutes to get full health. Had I used the 13-hit method, I would have saved 20 gold (without glitches) and 80 gold (with the glitches).

Boss 18 = forced timers kept running my clock time to the point where I lost the boss. I was force to a timer even though I had sufficient time on the clock. I also had incorrect time zone and the boss’ health didn’t decrement when I tried to kill him.


Boss 21 and 22 = forced timer issue cost me time and forced me to purchase a health pack. I had plenty of time left on the clock and health on my health meter for the last steps.


Boss 24 = same as boss 21 and 22, but cost me an extra health pack and cycle because the boss got stuck on the last bar and required 3 hits for the same state (repeated boss 24).


Boss 28 = forced timer issue on top of a looped kill that wouldn’t stop so I had to exit app and restart. Cost me an entire cycle (repeated boss 28).
I have submitted a support ticket for review of these instances for the excess 120 gold and ~5M in game cash spent because of glitches.

Boss 21 and 22 = forced timer issue cost me time and forced me to purchase a health pack. I had plenty of time left on the clock and health on my health meter for the last steps.


Boss 24 = same as boss 21 and 22, but cost me an extra health pack and cycle because the boss got stuck on the last bar and required 3 hits for the same state (repeated boss 24).


Boss 28 = forced timer issue on top of a looped kill that wouldn’t stop so I had to exit app and restart. Cost me an entire cycle (repeated boss 28).
I have submitted a support ticket for review of these instances for the excess 120 gold and ~5M in game cash spent because of glitches.

wow that is great info!! but i'm with corsair: i dont understand your reason for choosing that method. looks like you only got 10 free hits correct?

corsair- the reason the boss strength went down, but the hits went up, is because she decreased her ally count, which decreased her atk score.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... very interesting. I dont understand how you would get through all 30 for free. how many hits did 30 take you? like 5? or all 13?? we are at the same lvl. maybe i should cut my allies back for number 30 and save myself 40 gold

Thanks Corsair! Glad it's over. That was the hardest I've ever had to work for a prize - too much brain power to figure out timers...I finally started using a real one!

LOL. Yes, definitely the 13 hit method is much better, and I wish I could have used it, but didn't have the luxury of time to do the incremental hits and could only maximize to 10 (job thing :)). After work, I just got too lazy to convert from the 2 hour increment to breaking it down to get the extra 3 hits.

The hits from boss 23 - boss 30 increased progressively from 13 hits - 21 hits with the exception of boss 24 where there was a glitch with killing him. What column are you referring?

The boss strength stayed the same for 23 and 23 (don't know why, I took pictures). As I added allies, the boss strength increased, then I dumped allies and boss strength lowered. The boss strength and allies columns show the correlation.

the fact that luke could make it to 30 with 50% of allies makes me want to drop. but seeing your chart and the 24 to 25 seems like evidence to add...

Good catch by you and Corsair - I appreciate it and updated my post so folks will know the reason why I chose that method and also linked to your post and recommended that instead.

I am guessing that it's based on my attack stat and then the boss adjusted accordingly. Check out boss 25 - 27 where I kept 140 allies (no new units purchased to increase my attack) - the boss got increasingly tougher. Then I started dumping allies at boss 28 and eventually at boss 30, he was lower in strength (but so was my attack). Who knows?! :)

I was referring to boss strength. Unless I am reading something wrong, the number is relatively the same for all those levels. And the changes are more correlated with allies than level of boss? I don't know, hard to analyze from this damn iPad, maybe I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks for all the info though, and good luck with your ticket, I filed three myself, finally got a reply today, but I don't think we're getting anything back for the waste in the early going with the bad timer.

what do you mean you had a head start? i've been playing this event since it started... and i've thought about it a lot. It shouldnt have been easier for you bc we are both the same level!! in my opinion, that means we should have been getting the exact same bosses (obviously thats not how the event worked). you have half the allies and your density is just a little bit better than mine. I have increased my atk by 35% during the event, and you have only increased yours by 2%.

seems like you may have gotten a lucky glitch. i dont know how else to explain it.

kitty- yea i've looked at that table for probably 15 minutes just trying to make sense of it and figure out how i can use the data... still dont know what the best thing for me to do for boss 30 is

LOL manbeast! I couldn't figure it out either. Most of the time I found I was just fighting the clock. I did feel like it helped to lower my stats back, but it's only a gut feel since we don't know how boss related to our stats.

check the first post in this thread for my results! and yes i beat 29 a few hrs ago but i've been trying to decide on my strategy before beating boss 30. if i can get it back down to 18 hits, i can save myself 20 more gold!

Just beat 28. I thought I would get it without spending gold as I was so close to leveling I would have leveled when I beat the boss, so I went ahead and leveled while fighting him. However, he did not go down on the last hit, even though it looked like he should have and I had one hit left at the end of 27. Very annoying. Now I wish I had bought those extra HMs. And then I get a common too. :D

here is what i did-

reduced allies by 16 putting me at 464.
got shamba to come out
did my first hit.
retreated.
added 16 allies back, purchased 50 more commandos and 20 more stealth frigates increasing my atk score by about 2000, after a minute i hit him 4 more times and continued my normal strategy.

even using those tricks, he was tough to bring down!! definitely worth it though!! got the rare boat 72/159 AND the awesome tank!!

might try number 31 tomorrow. if i can get another rare boat for 40 gold i think it'll be worth it!

according to HK's data, it should have!! but i didnt see any benefit. my number 30 had about 100,000 more health than my number 29. her number 30 had less health than 29.

It now takes me three medpacks per boss starting on boss 21. I have 200 gold remaining, which is not enough to get to 30. This blows.
