My point to possum was that the model has worked for the guys who started Funzio. If the game develops with the needs of the players then it can continue.
We all eventually grow bored of things and move on. That's the nature of things.

For me this game is better than a lot of others I've played and I'm enjoying it as are a lot of other people apparently.

It sure beats Evony, where you can return from sleep to find virtually nothing left even if you are in a top 10 alliance!

To be honest flan unless you got stats like jmc your not gonna beat the boss 30 times! When it was the 25th time fighting him I had to use gold to keep makeing my health 100%... After you beat him like 20 times the guy is crazzzzzzzzy strong!!! He's like on Barry bonds steroids!!! I had to use 120 gold bars and up just to keep beating him... There's is no way in hell you can beat him in under 2 hours without useing gold plus on top of that you run out of money fast!!! If you try to use the free attack all your doing to him little to none damage! It's like downloading a hugh gb game on a iPhone 3G it's will take forever to get his health to low...

I never understood how that worked. My attack is 46 thousand and some and during a battle it would say -29000.

I think earlier today it was showing 27000 though.

Based on this, the attack is related to inventory. Not sure how level plays into the number, maybe that's the key to the mystery...




Once in the fight, you'll have 3 options to attack:

Quick Attack is free and does damage based on your level and inventory.

Force Attack costs cash and does base damage (Quick Attack) plus a percentage boost.

Mega Attack costs gold and does base damage plus a much larger boost.

Here was my strategy to win 30 times. This was with my LLP, I can't get past 6 on HLP.

1. Add allies to maximize your attack strength. I took mine from 6k to 10k. Helps a ton if possible.

2. Don't start an attack until 2 hours after previous kill, to ensure you start with full health.

3. Attack three times, retreat for 5 minutes, then hit 2 times. Now you must wait.

4. Return after 27 minutes, attack twice, do not only wait 24. You miss a second opportunity by waiting the extra couple minutes.

5. You max at about 13 attacks if timed perfectly. If you can't kill him, your stuck with using gold. Every person will reach this point absent incredible stats for your level. Like gold armies. My LLP was able to get so high because of a lot of gold units. If your level ten, with a few crates, you'd have the best chance at completing with the least amount of gold spent.

I spent 980 gold. I received the tank, (3) veteran commando's (1) Eventide Fighter, and (7) Attack Catamarans. I have 4 uncommons, and 15 commons, it was by far a very efficient use of gold. I would not advise spending gold if you can't beat the boss at 20 with cash. The last boss used 120 gold and 6 cash attacks.

Just tried the free option as I'm about to sleep and no way I'm staying up to take down #19... Unless all my boosts are giving me a greater than 60 percent boost, whatever number that is, it is not my raw stats. Very same, I'm 100% sure it just my normal attack without boosts, I've also seen what JPS is seeing, and if I close down the app and reopen Boss energy is back at full again.

I have upped my attack bought a load of B-bombers etc, again, no noticeable difference.

Yes Freddy that is what occurs.

I do all my attacks from within the Raid screen due to game instability. It usually comes up straight after you see the little blue bar drop to Zero. In PVE it is again straight after the attack is completed.

I am having the same exact problem. Went the whole day without seeing a boss. I see the Defeat Warlord Shamba 30 Times under my Goals, but I get a message that says "Find more bosses: In order to complete this goal you need to find more bosses to defeat. Complete missions to find bosses." No popup screen despite numerous PvE missions, PvP raids and attacks. Sent a ticket to support but it will take them days to respond and the event will likely be over by then.

Tanks everyone who added me, (need more) but I think I got a bug, I tried to kill the 7 bosses and I cant fight him, I have enough energy but when I pull the trigger nothing going on, I need to raid again and I can fight again, but the counter as reset to full time (5 hours) and his energy are full, wtf...

As I see it the optimum attacks if your elite actually stays around for the two hours is 13 assuming full energy at the start.

First 3 hits straight up.
Hits 4,5 at the five minute mark, regenerate required (25 minutes plus wait a couple so you can do two hits)
Hits 6,7 at the 32 minute mark
Hits 8,9 at the 59 minute mark
Hits 10,11 at the 86 minute mark
Hits 12,13 at the 113 minute mark

If this does not get him then you must either increase strength or use Gold.

It would depend on how close you got to defeating the elite as to when you choose to use your Gold.

Most economical 20 Gold option (gives 18 hits)
Using a medipack at the five minute mark straight after you first run out of energy will effectively give you an extra five hits. You would just repeat the first two parts of the sequence above and then continue at 27 minute intervals normally.

Using a second set of Gold at the end (this would be at the 118 minute mark) will provide you with another four hits (22 hits total).

Not doing this myself as my elite buggers off one hour after I first attack him but if someone is getting close then this might be enough to tip you over the line for a decent stat unit.

I would say I got 7 rares during the last 10 bosses. 5 boats and 2 soldier guys. One weird but good thing is I got a ton of boats and I'm UK. Probably the boat has the best odds of the rares. I thought it was designed that way when you read the event screen, but it could go either way.

"The more times you defeat the Epic Boss, the better your chances of winning rarer and more powerful units!"

I could see this meaning, higher levels have better odds of higher units.....Or by sheer volume of your wins your odds to win a rare item are increased.

As for using gold... It doesn't matter much either way. Med pack gives you 4 additional hits, or mega attack gives you one hit that is 4x's as strong. I would use the med pack, attack 3x, 5 minute break, then two more times which was 25% more effective then a mega attack. Flipside is that using the mega attack saved me $450k in attack costs.

Same situation for me. That extra cash means things you wouldn't risk previously are now viable targets, basically you get a level bonus for your raid)

And I really need that as having a hard time right now, somehow I am being seen by a few level 160 plus players (I don't see above level 130) and am copping twenty hit attacks throughout the day. Really knocking me around particularly as more often than not it is Valor units dropping and not ambulances and drones. Had a check and they are all using extremely high Valor in their attacks.....

I am just under that ally count at 347 Micky. Would be okay except for the level 150 plus guys. One only has around 120 allies and almost nothing other than the top boss loot from the last map in his units. The other two are both in the high 400 allies with mostly Valor units. Using 200 surveillance drones, 200 ambulances, 60 odd Hovercraft and 70 odd cruisers as shields, hardly lose them, it is coming from the top down and taking the Valor units instead. Looking at doing exactly what you have done, if they can get this event running properly for me I think I will drop almost all my Valor into attack and have a crack at getting another 17 of the indestructibles, at least they won't fall over....:cool:

Everybody follow these steps and the tank is yours!!! This is how I got mine...


1. Make sure your boost buildings are leveled up and you have all of them, they don't need to that much leveled up.


2. Have a lot of money!!! I'm talking about in the millions!!! After you beat him 15 times the free attack does hardly any damage to him!


3. Watch him every 15 mins! He will leave after two hours!!! So if it's past the two hour limit don't close MW just keep it open and watch the timer!


4. Let your health revive back to 100%!!! Before you attack him again if you fight him when your health is low and his is full there's no way in hell you will beat him in two hours!!!


5. As much as I hate to say this you will need to use gold!!! Beat him 25 times then go buy the $50 gold pack trust me 650 gold bars is enough to beat him! Remember it's only $50 guys, you are gonna get the 2end most powerful unit in the game for $50 that's not bad at all!!!


6. After all that hard work congrulations!!! You now have your tank and your gonna feel amazing!!! Follow these steps and you will win the event!

I have several mill missing becuase of this. not counting the other issues and problems with the boss disappearing before 1 hour, attacks not registering (he takes no damage), and health regeneration.

i had $32 mil saved up last night. was going to start my other lvl 5 oil this morning. was having a hard time with the boss so i spent almost all of it on commandos. got 300 of them. had never bought them before bc of high cas. rates. also had valor so i got another 100 stealth frigates (400 now). all in all i raised my atk stat 10k :) but i expect those commandos to die pretty fast

Yes Freddy that is what occurs.

I do all my attacks from within the Raid screen due to game instability. It usually comes up straight after you see the little blue bar drop to Zero. In PVE it is again straight after the attack is completed.

I am having the same exact problem. Went the whole day without seeing a boss. I see the Defeat Warlord Shamba 30 Times under my Goals, but I get a message that says "Find more bosses: In order to complete this goal you need to find more bosses to defeat. Complete missions to find bosses." No popup screen despite numerous PvE missions, PvP raids and attacks. Sent a ticket to support but it will take them days to respond and the event will likely be over by then.

I did the same, but like you said, by the time we get a response it may be over. Must be a glitch, I put in well over 1000 PVPs but to no prevail. I feel sorry to some of the guys that got hit day in and day out. Good luck to you.

Did you try closing out then re-opening and trying to trigger it?

That's the way it seems to work for me. I beat a boss, close out, open again, fight and have another boss on the first fight.

Yeah, if you click on the fight it will show you the time when you can attack again. I think that's what your asking.

Okay I have had 4 hours to kill shamba since the event started. I have also had the glitch where I attack and nothing happens and shambas health regenerate.

I think what is happening, at least in my case, is hat despite the timer saying 4 hours I only have 2. If I wait longer than 2 my attacks do nothing and when I retry he has full health. So for those with a longer timer just realize it is still only 2 hours even if timer says otherwise. Sorry if posted earlier

See this guys, i have 16 hours to finished the boss before he escape, but he flee before 2 hours

Have had that a number of times now, very frustrating coz I didn't know when he was escaping by. Good to know it's <2 hours, will help me plan my time.

That's what I thought too, since this is what happened the first time I tried... however, since then I died twice while the boss should have been dead first... so I am not sure anymore. Maybe it was the result of the other bug, where the boss did not lose health when attacked?

I've been seeing people post the loot they have been getting on this Boss event, and seeing pics .Just wondering if us lower lvl players are supposed to get lower stats on our loot units,example ,i don't get "Battle Catamaran 64/146 (rare)" instead i get "Attack Catamaran 60/139 (rare)" (i am level 29 atm),if so, will the Grand Prize be lower stats also? .

well... i just got screwed again on boss 18!!! there was only a little tiny bit left on his meter i mine was about twice as much as his... last time i got all the way to this point i did the force hit with game cash and he killed me first... this time, i decided since i had about 16 mins on the clock to recharge, i would go run through a valor mission and add to/strengthen my attack stat... when i went back to hit the boss with less than 2 mins left on the timer... it would not let me fight him... every time i pressed the fight button i would get that stupid screen that says 'you need a med pak'!!! wtcuss!!! i pressed the fight button some 50 times trying to get back and kill the boss and it would NOT let me!!!

...oh and the best part the timer on the health pack screen was EXACTLY THE SAME AS the timer for the boss to leave... i even attempted to time it just right to hit the fight button at the same time the timer hit 0...

WASTED nearly another mil in game cash and SCREWED AGAIN!!!

THIS IS A SCAM EVENT... ABSOLUTELY UNATTAINABLE WITHOUT SPENDING GOLD FOR MOST EVERYONE!!!

THAT IS CRAP FUNZIO... TOTAL CRAP!!!

this is defo not about chance... it is a complete and total scam...

Yep! Happened to me 3 times. Had to buy the medkit again. I already bought one so I didn't want to lose it. Sucks because the one hit I needed costs 20 gold even if I retreated without going down and waited the 26 minutes to have the two hits.

Stricker, i am sorry to hear you have a bug problem, it must be very frustrating ,i understand.But to say the event is a scam ,as you so boldly did ,and that you can't attain the final prize without spending gold,is just not right either.This is a business after all,and they are here to make some money,as much as i hate that concept to,i cannot agree with you,i mean it is a badd ass tank after all, they can't just give it for free right?.
For what i am seeing ,this event seems to be a bit easier for those of us who have spent some real money on, i have a very strong army (for my level of course,i am lvl 29 with7774 attck/8678def,with 41 allies).

@POW - some of the biggest gold spenders in the game reportedly can't get past the low 10s for free. Whereas low level free players are reportedly winning the prize with no gold spent. Hardly a thank you to gold spenders.

More likely, they screwed up the curve for higher levels or they intentionally made it much much harder for them, but given Funzio's track record, I'm leaning towards screwed up.

i have spent a small amount of real cash on the game to reduce build times after playing for a while and neglecting my econ... my $20 to support a game i enjoyed and allowed me to maintain an army that had no gold units... then the first event came out and i spent a little more attempting to reduce the insane casualty rates that were being experienced at that time... but i didn't get the prize so i decided never again... i've only gotten one 10th prize ever... but i've always believed that it was merely chance on those events...

so don't you dare insinuate that i should be kiss your rear because you do spend gold... on the contrary, i bring value as a free player that is abused and neglected by funzio in the case of this event... and one more thing PoW... gold players always get the little thank you every time... do the math sherlock... there is no way a free player will ever be able to be highly competitive against gold fortified players... so you are way off base to even mix that into this whole affair of a busted, poorly executed, sham-scam event!!!

thanks for the plug there strick! i've done very well on this event. beat 24 bosses for free and got 5 rare units! so i'm in now way complaining


BUT if i was poopenshire, I'D BE PISSED!!! players like him are getting ripped off. i dont know how they calculate the health for the boss, but its clearly wrong. i believe every single person at a given level should recieve the same bosses!!! regaurdless of their number of allies or attack stat. if they have low allies, OH WELL get a bigger army. if their attack stat sucks, OH WELL get a better army!!

poop is in the top 1% of his lvl and he cant get passed boss 13. that is ridiculous. i think its bc his attack stat at the beginning of the event was so high, they made his bosses too strong. on the other hand, some people are getting through way too easy. i'm in the top 1% of my lvl, so i think i've been treated fairly, but i did increase my attack from 33k to 46k during the event. if we had another event like this, i wouldnt be able to make another 30% jump, and i'd probably be in poops shoes

stricker,never did i insinuate that any free player should kiss my rear,and by the way, i have not spent that much money on this game nor will i,i have spent enough to have the army i have now, and that's it.Me being able to kick most people's ass at my level is not a "thank you" from funzio ,that's what i paid for.This event being easy for me (compared to some stories i am reading,i see as a "thank you" from funzio,because my army lvl compared to my lvl is very strong,that is my experience,i may be wrong.

They screwed up, no way around it. LLP gets the prize in a day with $70 bucks in gold. And the fact is I could have done it with far less by waiting the full time to maximize the hits. I got lazy. On the flip side, HLP can't get past 7 without gold, and we're talking $300+ to get the tank. They used a density measurement and applied it based on level, which is very easy to attain if your attacking with 100-200 units and have some gold units. Whereas it gets to be near impossible at 90+. It just took 16 hits to kill boss 7, which I only accomplished because I was close to leveling.

@stricker : yes i completely agree, for players with lvl of 50+, getting the top prize without gold is impossible...
I myself now are at 27 bosses, and have spent about 400 gold to reach this point...
I tried to be free, but after calculating the cost of spending gold, with the amount of indestructibles that we could achieve vs opening crates, i still found this event is more profitable..
You will get 30 indestructibles, 1 super bad ass tank, with probably max 1000 gold, maybe less...
If you buy crates, for 30 indestructibles, you have to spent 1450-1750 gold...and no bad ass tank...
But yes, i also will complain on how LLP get past this event way easier than us...
My LLP, lvl 37, are on boss 15 now completely free...

I believe, from what i have read, You get one health point back per minute, whether the boss is around or dead. So, ideally, you would wait 50 minutes to attack or raid before going after the next one. Kinda sucks but it is what it is

I'm lvl 77, it costed me 100,000 per hit for elite 19 so i'm guessing lvl does matter for cost

If I can manage to level up one more time I might be able to get past boss 12, but that is a lot of work considering I have received 5 bomb disposal units, 3 gunner helicopters, 2 water assaults, and only 1 veteran captain. I like getting free indestructable units, but need to gain 7k more experience to level up to 140. I think I may try to beat the level 12 boss so I can hopefully get at least 2 rare units from the event.

I defeated the boss 30 times in the first 2 days. I just started yesterday on my iPad and am at level 18.

Here's my strategy:

1) Make a PvE attack to find boss
2) Immediately hit him 3 times with the cash attack - your health will be at 25
3) Wait 1 minute - your health is now at 26
4) Hit him 2 more times with the cash attack if necessary
5) Wait 26 minutes
6) Hit him 2 more times with the cash attack
7) Repeat steps 5 & 6 until he's defeated
8) If you follow this strategy and are unable to defeat him with cash attacks, unfortunately, you're going to have to use gold. I used gold for attacks on later levels instead of cash attacks. Same strategy, just gold attacks instead of cash.
9) Wait 1 hour, 40 minutes before doing ANY PvE or PvP attacks/missions to avoid finding another boss before your health is 100% regenerated.
10) Start over at step 1

- Veteran Fighter x 2

- Fluid Gripen x 2
