You got to remember that they don't go after EVERY 499er... they go after the NON WEAK ones that are taking advantage of this... still pointless of them tho :D

I tend to really go after what I call the proud 99er. That's the 99er that brags about how far they are on TL goals. They need to get punked out.

Any advantage gained from being a 499er is imaginary. There is not much if anything to be gained, it just paints your target a different colour. What's the point of this game anyways? Build your economy so you can earn enough cash to buy more stuff (equipment to unlock jobs, more buildings, more upgrades), do the map missions, and fight/rob rivals. If you think dropping your mafia below 500 is going to prevent rivals from beating you up or robbing your buildings, think again. Try collecting on time, then no one can rob you in theory. What's the real disadvantage to losing a fight launched against you? Nothing. Lost some explosives? Build your economy some more, or don't buy them if they're not helping you.

There will always be someone stronger, taking losses should just be accepted. If it's still true that you can only get beat up 10 times every 2 hours, and I am fairly certain it is, that's a maximum of 120 defensive losses per day. If you're worried about your record, lay the smack down on your rivals more than they can on you. Easily done. Just as there will always be stronger rivals, so too will there be weaker rivals.

I'll re-join the anti-99er fight when I finish the current set of TL goals. I still have plenty of punching bags walking around, but I have noticed a lot of rats begging to share their cheese.

If you have 500+ mafia, you get attacked by rivals doing Thug Life goals.

If you have less than 500 mafia, you get attacked by rivals like the OP.

My advice is to always use the bracketology to your own advantage.

I agree with Dudeman and am going to complete my TL goals as fast as I can so I can also hit the 499 TL players when I'm done. I'm almost done with 358.

Interesting note about myself: I went down to 499 without ever being on the forum, thinking it would give me more protection. The weirdest part was the day after I had all types of messages on my comments about being a rat, lol. I went to the forum then to find out wtf was going on. This is how I learned about the whole 499 rat war.

Out of spite, I stayed at 499 and took constant beating, way more beatings than when I was 500+ (I was actually at 2123 mafia before I dropped to 499, which took for-f'kn-ever!). Over all, I went back to 500 when I went back after the TL goals and to go after the 499s as going to 499 didn't do a damn thing....thought it might make Funzio/GREE change the game if everyone went 499.....yeah right...go 500 or go home!

I do TL goals, hit a few fat rats, do more TL goals. Feel good hitting rats, feel like they deserve being hit. Like many, once TL goals complete will do rats 100%. :o

When you get up to seeing level 200 on your rivals list and you can only see down so far, you'll notice almost everyone at 500, with few exceptions, has really good, if not insane stats, while the 499s are mostly crap. How's that for a run-on sentence?
