My strategy to get the final prize in events

I have been asked by so many people on how I get the final prize everytime i decide that i want it. I have typed up my method of getting the event prize. It works 100% of the time for me but i can't promise that it will work for everybody else. I don't use alot of gold for my method but it does require gold. I have received the final prize this morning with using 500 gold to get it.

What i do is decide from the first time i see the event and final prize if this is a gold event for me or not. Once, i decide i don't change my mind later on. So if the final prize is worth it for me, then i will use gold and implement my strategy. I have never won a prize without using gold and don't expect to.

So the first day or two, i always use the medium option. I usually get 4-5 cards (or whatever you need) by the second day. By the end of the second day, i will start opening boxs with the reset option and then using the either the cash option or gold option until i get to the 9th item. This is the priciest and where you will spend the most money. You need to do this by the end of the second day.

After i have 9 of the items (cards), i then stop and switch to using the gold option to open all boxes from there every hour. I should have either 3-5 days left to get the final item and with a opening all boxes with gold, you will get it as the odds are with you. I would not reset the timer and use gold to get the 10th item as you will use alot of gold that way. For some reason, you can use 1000s of gold to get it and that isn't definate.

This has worked very single time for me. The first event i did it and cost me 220 gold. The no banking prize i spent 990 gold and less than 500 gold for all other final prizes.

Hope this helps some of you sorry if it doesn't work but this method works for me.

Nevermind. I just thought "Screw it!" and reset and opened with gold till I got #9. It took 5 resets and 5 opens. Not too bad to get to #9 for 150? Now hourly till 10! :)

It took me 20-25 resets to get the 9. From 9 to 10, it was under 10 thingies opened.

I think the odds are harder to get them as the event goes on... i'm sure others has their theories but that is why for me the timing is very important. I made sure yesterday i got 9 because i knew it would be alot more costly today.

@koralene, nice to see players getting the prizes, I spent all most 2 vaults of gold trying to get the car never made it past 8. I used medium option till I got 8 then gold the rest of the time with resets on the last day. Frustrating! I need a new approach thanks for sharing.

I only got the final once - but I usually get to 7 - sometimes 9 with cash only....

To have any chance of getting 10 EVERY event requires gold....only the amount required varies and is down to luck.

Somebody i know used 10k of gold on the last day to get the final prize and still didn't get it. That's just crazy to me. :)

Actually as someone who has acquired every event item thus far I've got a lot of experience of trying different ideas. I had settled on using cash opens until I got to 8 and then switched to gold for 9 & 10. For the last 2 events I've used some resets on the first day to get to 8 as soons as possible...partly doen to my impatience but also it doesn't cost that much (YMMV) and thisthen allows the maximum remaining days to continue using hourly gold opens to get 9 & 10.

I hope I'm wrong though.I suspect you are correct...although when this was aised during the last event CC Mark said thatche was not aware that the box drop rates had been reduced...and at least one player (can't remember who) said he ended with around 400 which is what I would have expected but I was barely around 150...and this event looks even worse so far so I reckon two events in a row is no accident/anomaly...

I usually only spend gold on buildings BUT come next event if I really want the final item I may try your method.

FYI, the last few events have had a 'item 10' drop rate is about 2%.

This means that to go from 9 to 10 you will require:

36 opens for a 50% chance. (4 days with no gold, and 6 hours sleep, or 2 days with 540 gold)
70 opens for a 75% chance. (7 days, 14 hours, or 4 days, 16 hours with 1050 gold)
116 opens for a 90% chance. (13 days 16 hours, 6 days 8 hours with 1740 gold)

Even this maybe a little pessimistic.

The odds also seem to indicate a 50% open rate, which means resets with gold and then cash open yields the same number of actual opens.

As a second note, the only remaining variable is the suggestion that there are different odds at different stages of the event. This was actually interesting, so I have tried starting the event with a lag of 3 days, to see if there is any significant difference in the number of items. In both CC and MW, I have ended up with roughly the expected number of items, which while a limited data set seems to indicate that there is no significant difference in drop rates on day 1 through till the end.

Unfortunately there has been nothing I have seen in the event statistics so far that leads me to believe that there is any way of successfully 'playing' the system other than reaching for your wallet and spending money, and potentially a lot.

Sometimes, it is easy to see patterns in things, because the human mind is always hyperactivly ordering things and cannot deal with straight random chance. This is primarily the reason that Casinos love people who walk in with 'systems'. Unless its card counting, in which case they don't, and you'll probably limp out.

anyway i think all make this because that the big way who all can take :) use medium option for the 5 or 6 first proof and after using Gold for opening, but not sure u can't get all proof.. the proof is random for all, u get luck or not and depends how many Loot are gone too :) don't think they put 500 weapons, sure .

Does seem like a good plan. No need to use gold until after the 1st 5 or 6, as they come pretty easily using medium option.
I've never used gold to open, (always cash) and only got the last grand prize. I was shocked as I've always gotten 8 or 9
Just lucky once, I guess.
