I spent $100 on this event so far and every part of me wants to put in just another $20 to get #10. However, I put a limit of $100 on this one with my wife. Complete event item fail for me, you get the 20% that the house gets. mabe worth it if you are in the higher levels with NC and Casinos that pay out some good money. Not worth it if you are robbing LM, Collection agencys or low level lofts for RP.

After getting The Eviscerator by opening all 124 Coffers with gold i decided to do the tire event using a mixture of cash and gold.

COFFER EVENT SUMMARY:

Received 8 Artifacts in the first 12 Coffers. Number 9 came when i opened Coffer number 48 and number 10 when i opened Coffer number 124.

All 124 Coffers were opened using gold and i did 11 timer resets which is a total of 2,025 Gold Bars

Geez...sorry for posting one negative post funzio. No need to screw up the drop rate on the event for me. Sorry, cash only for me. Been screwed on all events thus far by being stuck at 8 or 9. Probably a common problem in the hood. I'm sure a lot would agree.

Not that I care, I play on my iPad, but iPhones are absolutely horrible phones...beyond the app store advantages. Why would any Android user want to change for most phone functions? Frankly Windows Phone operates better than both of them but has a brutal app selection.

there were some troubles with the skill points from the black widow event, the invisible stats of the crazy hit n runner and now this it seems.

When I rob a level 1 crematorium now, I still get $6,000. If I rob it twice, I get $12,000 just as before. I was being facetious when I said it was invisible because it is invisible due to that it is not implemented. And before someone asks, I checked to see if the actual amount of cash matched what goes in my account and the answer is yes. So, only $12,000 was my score for a level 1 crematorium. The programers didn't get it working right just yet.

Yes, I used gold and reset till I got 8 items and then I started just normal openings with gold. Total gold spent was a reasonable 870 gold bars (I think). That is FAR less than last event and better than most of my event outcomes.

Drop rates of event items seem to be trickling down for me. Last event, I ran out of crates early several hours before the event ended, leaving me at 9/10. Today, I've gotten two machines from farming Junkyard for lowriders right away and then, nothing, even though I've been robbing and attacking all day long. Good thing I won one event a while back because the rate my luck's going, that'll probably be my only one. :)

When I first started CC back in May, I had no troubles getting event drops, even with my low level character with whom I only pvp'd. Since then, drop rates have drastically been reduced with every event for me. I've been working on my energy since the tires event and have been doing some farming, and that was the only way I got a machine today even though I spent most of my time attacking and robbing rivals, which is a first for me. It really seems like they've reduced the drop rate in the hopes of getting players to spend gold for stamina and energy replenishing so they can try to get more event drops. If that is the case then I'm going to have to consider future events a wash because I just can't bring myself to spend gold on replenishes when my drop rate is already so crappy. The only times I feel tempted to start spending gold is when I'm sitting at 9/10 and I'm SO CLOSE, which is how I ran out of tires in the last event but I left it at that because there was no way I was going to spend more gold to try to get more event drops that were already rather scarce. No way.

Event boxes will drop from any job on any map at any time. The number of times you have previously completed the job, or the map for that matter, are not factors in whether or not the possibility of a drop exists. Higher energy costs translate into a greater chance for a drop to occur, but nothing is ever guaranteed. Your personal goals list is irrelevant when attempting to obtain event boxes.

If you want, you can do the same 1 job from the same 1 map for the entire duration of the event and you will get boxes (eventually) until the event ends.

I'm not sure how much clearer that can be said.

Regarding PvP, boxes do not drop. They are stolen. If the rival doesn't have any event boxes you can't steal any, just like if they have no cash on hand you won't win any from a fight. Capisce?

There is an additional strategy that I use to get PvP event boxes. I look at a potential robbery or PvP victim's inventory and if they have event items or not to gauge the probability that they have collected boxes. I think there's a better chance that they have engaged in the event if they have a few previous event items. I'd consider even 5th,7th and 9th place items as an indicator. If they have these and I need boxes, I'll take a few swings at them to see if a box drops. If it's early in the event, I'll look to see if their hourly buildings have been cashed or not. If they have, and they have event items, I can coax out a box maybe 25% of the time. That's actually a pretty high rate considering what the drop rate is compared to expending energy.

Android Cash Player, Got 1-8 rather quickly, only got 3 or 4 fails between each card. Surprisingly I'm not getting much respect or cash opens on this event like on the others. Not holding my breath on this event, seems to mimic the coffer one where I wasted all my gold in and was still stuck at 9/10 afterwards 3 days before the event ended.

I've been checking inventories consistently and I have yet to see ATMs in a rivals inventory, and I finally got one from a rival who also didn't have it listed. The only event drops I do see are RPG crates.

No, I'm not saying that you will see ATMs but I am looking for evidence that the player might be actively pursuing event items. I'll take them on one on one a few times to see if a box drops. Quite often I can pick players that have boxes by "guessing" which ones to attack.

Android Cash Player, Got 1-8 rather quickly, only got 3 or 4 fails between each card. Surprisingly I'm not getting much respect or cash opens on this event like on the others. Not holding my breath on this event, seems to mimic the coffer one where I wasted all my gold in and was still stuck at 9/10 afterwards 3 days before the event ended.

Congratulations. I was thrilled when I got my 7th and 8th consecutively in the wee hours of Saturday morning. I still feel in decent shape to finish this one.

As soon as I saw the "prize" I thought, "yeah... probably going to win this one because it's robbery related."

Still the hard part to go, though. The good thing is that now if I see a debit card, I know I get something. That's what sucks the most about getting stuck on #7. You get so desperate to get the 8th item that you forget you don't actually get anything for it.

It sure feels like they adjust the %s of open rates and successful cards by the day. Originally I thought it was by the card, but the cards seem to come easy the first day, whether you can open enough to get to 7,8 or 9 depends on cash vs gold vs resets. After that, it seems to get way more difficult on day 3 and 4 on a 5 day event regardless of if you're on 7, 8 or 9. I've had to open many more boxes to get 9 on most events than I have to get the four 10th items I have.

This event, 10 is a biaatcccchhhh for me though.

The player you rob must have teller machines for you too rob, just like if you attack the player. If the player has a lot of them, you can get 3-4 sometimes from either attacking or robbing. The player you rob or attack just needs to have that many, hopefully much more, on hand.

Another thought, maybe those that leave their building unattended don't collect teller machines very often?

I'm getting 0 to 2, mostly 0-1 on every 10-0 attack on this event. Rarely have I gotten 2. The last few events I could get 2-3 and even 4 sometimes. Usually I end an event with 150 left over. Last event I only had a little over 50. Right now I only have 19. Something changed?

Some people get free gold from Tapjoy. Just because they have it doesn't mean they used any for events.

Some people don't want their forum name and game name to be the same. Secret identities or something.

Just take their word for it and hate them secretly if you must :p
