I'm sure this has been asked somewhere along the way and I have missed it. Is there an advantage to carrying more than 500 members in your Mafia? I went above and saw advantage in my stats going up after 500.

I noticed this too!!!!

I added past 500 and (I'm not even past lvl100) and my attack score went up by 3 points and my defense by 4.... wtf

Question for you when you attack someone or rob someone what is the amount of items you used in a battle?

Should max out at 2500 when level 100 and above with 500 plus mafia, correct ?

@fuzzy, I have 666 mafia members and never take more than 2500 items into battle.

@OP, there are a few "advantages" to going over 500, but they may not be that great depending on your play style.

When you have more than a few extras over 500 you greatly reduce the chances that your own mafia size will drop under 500 should enough people drop you from their mobs. When I had exactly 500 "friends" it happened quite often that I would find myself dropping under 500. I can only assume why that happened so often, but my best guess is that it was caused by massive amounts of players dropping to 499 to avoid becoming a Thug Life target.

If you have over 1000 mafia members your friends can show up in your rivals list which enables you to fight and rob them the same as anyone else. Jimmy Shines once made a valid point that this is likely an intentional feature of the game because in theory you could just add everyone in the game to your friends list and then never worry about being robbed or losing a fight.

well, i have 1600 friends.
The only benefit is you can avoid a lot of hits from people around your lvl
I guess it only holds true for me because I started playing CC really early. SO most of my friends are high level players now...and they are great gold spenders. I'm lucky to stay away from any major gangs
