Yes. They keep people from attacking you and factor strongly in your resistance to robbery. You want to provide the strongest defense possible while using as little space possible. The more space you use for defensive buildings, the less real estate you have to make money.

Also, what level are you on?

They are going to rob and beat you into oblivion.

If you are relying on weapons and numbers solely to defend yourself, then there's always going to be someone bigger who will feed on you. When you work on your defense, you reduce the number who can get you. This increases the amount of collections you make b/c you're not being robbed all the time.

Forget D buildings.

If you were to place your two lowest nightclubs in plain view and put the 3rd and highest at the bottom of your hood, no one would ever think to rob it. No need for defense.

Is there not a cheat for defense buildings then? Is that the one part of the game you're going to have to play properly. I heard the best defense buildings are the abandoned buildings, apparently they've got some hidden stat the comes into play once you get the building upgraded to level 10. Apparently the defense is multiplied by 10 once you get them to level 10. :D

Defense buildings are not totally useless but you shouldn't overly rely on them as they inflate your defense stats and that might lull you into a false sense of security. Go for 50 gatlings at level 1 then 50 missile turrets at level 1, Some watch towers and muay thais levelled to level 4 or 5 is also worthwhile. The bulk of your defenses will come from your equipment but the defense buildings will add something to the total.

2 Snipers Dens (Level 5 and Level 3 specifically) would adequately protect 3 Level 10 Nightclubs from people robbing them for $2.5mil+ per hit. But things may change overnight too.

If defense buildings were totally useless then don't bother. But ever since I beefed up on gattling turrets I get fewer attacks.

Remember that a good portion of users, probably 85.89% exactly, don't use the forums so they don't know they fight algorithms and the true defense. They are running scared of players with towering defense and thinking they are safe behind their invisible curtain.

Get a life bro I got 3 night clubs from a glitch. When funzio deleted my hood and restored it cause it was messed up and it gave me a 3rd club somehow I have since Sold the 3rd night club like I told everyone else I have the emails from funzio to prove it you loser.

I think most people are careful when they offer advice - and usually add the caveat of "IMO" or "I hear from others" - yet some have started from a position of basic noob to just post information carte blanche as if it were gospel - amazing really!

Now that's not nice why be selfish when you can help somebody if i didn't get the help i would be in a worser position than i am the problem is you need a lot patience to play this game and most people find that difficult.People come on this fourm to get quick answers but they don't realise they really is no shortcut you can't expect learn everything about this game in 5 minutes you need months to fully understand all aspect of this game.

second... I added past 500 (going to be a 499er) because I found it odd that every member I added increased my attack and defense by give or take 4/5 points - which was odd... so I was running my own little experiment... but I don't care about 4/5 points... I'm taking it back down to 499 :cool:

631killa. i think defense buildings do work. most people say they dont but i believe they help me out.

i dont like cheaters but if you can stick it to the man then go ahead. if you did in fact have funzio approval and they knew you had them in your emails back and forth i wouldn't have deleted it i would have kept it and let the haters hate(if your claims are true)

since no one knows how funzio handles them just accept the fact they are part of the game and report them if you like and move on...if it frustrates that bad that funzio isn't doing anything about them then just quit the game.

Well lets see... I'm level 66 with 500+ mafia... I'm pretty sure that my attack and defense is NOT suppose to go up by adding more mafia at this point... but it is/does... which is bizzarrrrroooo AND furthermore... it shows as a true attack value in my PVP report...
