I'll take you up on some help as well as anyone else (JP, ok, WP), thinking we can divide and conquer this one.

I'd like to necro some threads if CCM approves and if not, we can still use them as reference. I know that there are some good nuggets of information out there that will help us keep the forum clean. We've relied on these common ones in the OP, but when I did a cursory search on the a couple of pages in forum, I found Omega's unit and tournament thread. It would have been a shame to lose that one.

So here's what I propose. Perhaps between the 5 of us we can systematically go back through the forum to see what we can find. To do this make sure you can see all of the threads:

In your profile, set the view "My Settings" --> "General Options" -> "Thread Display Options" --> "Default Thread Age Cut Off" -- "Show all threads"

Interesting findings in my thread range from the "early days:"

Common Questions still arise:

How do I get free gold?
What are the best jobs for using energy?
What are people’s thoughts on leveling?
Anyone else come across cheating/hacking?
How should I allocate my skill points?

Should I build defense buildings and do the work?
Why isn’t there a water defense?

Common Complaints still expressed:

Extensive upgrading/expansion times (too long)
Inflexible alliance lists (sorting, search)
Unpredictable casualty rates
Can’t see attacker’s profile from news feed (only has Attack button, no Invade button)
Gold players versus free players
Sore feelings about getting attacked repeatedly (advice is consistent – grow economy, buy more units, use boosts, pick a unit boost nation, try again)
Not enough participation from forum moderators (questions remain unanswered) – first starts in January
No announcements from Funzio when game gets retooled
Interesting game feature recommendation:

Issue: Money buildings stop generating cash until the fund is collected.
Suggested solution:
[*=1]“Robotic Cash Collector” gold unit to that sweeps money buildings for cash while player is offline.[*=1]“Collect All” button so a player doesn’t have to click on each building when collecting cash.

Manbeast (I think) shared some info about skill points that was radically different than any other info we had ever seen. I'll try to find that thread ASAP because it is a bigger game-changer than any other strategy tips we have normally shared.

The gist of it was that skill pts on A/D act as a percentile number of your A/D score, as opposed to being added directly to the total or acting as an "x-factor" to whether you win or lose.

Essentially, if the info is correct, and it was directly from CJ, then we should be able to accurately figure our real numbers on A/D, and predict a win/loss more precisely, especially if we know an opponents skill pts.

The units themselves will not change. All boosts are applied on the aggregate of your units take to battle under stats. (*with the exception of the invisible Camo bear boosted defense)

The points are added straight to your defense stat, 5 points means your defese increases by 5 points.


Regarding how they actually affect defense, general belief goes:

All defense units/building points contribute toward defending against the "attack," or striking the avatar.

All defense units and ONLY the defense buildings within range of a building under attack by raid will contribute toward defending against the raid of said building. In other words, any defense building that doesn't have it's blue halo of protection around the targeted building will not be a part of the raid defense.

Benefits of defense buildings are the fact that they are indestructable and that their value will be added to your total defense stat. The fact that they are counted in the defense stat has a deterrent affect.

In my personal opinion though, regardless of benefits, I'm a cheapskate and loathe to spend millions on land expansion-I think they're a waste of space.

The only logic to have these buildings would be if they add % bonus to your defense while certain building under coverage of certain defense buildings is under raid.

If they add only pure defense points, even undestructable ones, so it really the most expensive units in the game :)

So as I understand, there is no official info, only beliefs by the players, correct? Same like with skill points of attack and defense?

For anyone coming across this in the future, in short, country boost and boost buildings apply only to attack. The only way to boost defense is with the composites factory.

Even recently on this forum there have been conflicting views on country and boost buildings being applied to defense. I have been trying to get my unit spread sheet to match my ingame stats +/- 1% Best I can tell is that country and boost do impact defensive stats. Frustrating that we can't reach consensus.

I will run a comparison utilizing HK's formula to be certain and report back when I have a chance. On the road, errr air, again in the morning.

Corsair - I'll revalidate the formulas. It was dead on for Attack (tested 3 data sets). Defense calcs get a little cloudy with the built in defense for all buildings. I'll look at it again this week. The compounded attack boosts were confirmed by the original guys/players.

@Cope, SNA definitely beats LAX...I have a client right around the corner from there and another on the other side of the 405, stayed in the Marriott there a few times. The driveway around the airport is a bit tricky, though. With O'Hare, the first thought that comes to mind is make sure you have quarters ready as you go back to the airport!

A question to senior players - in which attack units to invest in early game of 25-40lvl, which potentially could be useful also in a bit higher levels.

For example it is clear for me regarding defense - military ambulance or sea scouts are clear defense units, where you get good defense value for money invested. What about attack units of similar level? From what I see there are no such clear attack units (opposite to military ambulance of 2/18)... Only inflatable boat, but 6 attack is a bit low for my understanding.

I am asking for some tips because many units are still locked for me, so I would arrange my upgrade strategy accordingly to your advices.

Yes upgrades are with cash. Composite will be one of your best buys with gold. Good choice. I bought mine with Tapjoy gold too.

New to the Forum but have been following you guys and gals for about a month. I'm a daily player, lvl 100, 203 allies, Attack of 18049, and Defense of 17905, and a income per hour $179,695.

I purchase about $100 bucks worth of gold each month (1500 gold) and have been spending it on units only. Did buy a crate once but was not satisfied with what I got out of it. Maybe it was a bad crate...

my question is... If I'm spending a $100 per month on gold what is the smartest way to spend it? Units, Events, or Crates...

my goal in this game to attack rivals 30ish times a day, raid 30ish times a day, and continue doing missions and leveling up. Not a heavy camper here. Just gets boring to me collect money 3 times a day and not attacking people.

Any ideas?

Composite building is the best gold "investment" in the game.
Upgrades with cash, boosts total unit defences by 20% when fully levelled up.

Overall crates offer the best "value" for your unit purchasing, though you do have to take the good with the bad there.

When selectively buying units, preference the strong against ones over the others, Air/Sea, Ground, Infantry would be the priority based on the majority of players attack setups.

If you are going to spend on events I would wait till the prize has value from your perspective till trying that. Most people can get to 8 or 9 using cash anyway. Spending gold does not guarantee a win, just an open.

Answers already but jic. I believe you need to make 10 posts in threads before your able to create your own thread. And you can only collect $1000 per ally,per day ,25 allies, for a total of $25,000.

When your a lower level, the money helps but as you get further in the game, 25k is pocket change.

At level 92 your max ally amount is only 460. (5 * Your Level or 500, whichever is smaller).

In CC we have this thing called Rat Catching. Basically we go after after people with 499 mafia and rob their buildings for their acts of cowardice since they hide at 499 mafia so that they can't be hit for TL goals where you need to hit people with 500 mafia.

You can only bring a max of 460 allies to battle at lvl 92. So if you have more allies than that at the moment, every time you level up you'll be able to bring 5 more allies to battle. Each ally allows you to bring 4 more units to battle. So you are essentially just bringing 20 more of your units to battle every time you level up. How strong these units are depends on your inventory. Right now at lvl 92, you can bring your top 1840 units to battle, at lvl 93 this will increase to 1860, then 1880 at lvl 94 etc. (assuming you are at max allies). Does this help? Once you hit lvl 100, the ally count that you can bring to battle caps at 500. You can still add more allies as you please, you just won't be able to bring more than 2,000 units to battle.

The level of your ally doesn't matter. Their main purpose is to only allow you to bring more of your units to battle.

You could say so. It's not 100% clear how effective they are. But it's been explained that if you have a strong against air type unit (for example) in battle, there is a small chance that units attack value will increase during the attack.

Nope all units are the same regardless of Country Flag. However majority of Units you have to Unlock by either upgrading buildings or as in the case with the Hardened Marine you have to surpass 1st Sergeant Rant (44k Battle Points). To get Battle Points you have to raid/attack people. (failing causes you to loose Battle Points)

Yeah I'm at level 85. I haven't a clue why yours isn't like that. Try deleting the game and reinstalling it. You won't lose your game data. Others than that I would contact support.

best way is a balance of units and allies. for the cost at level 13 military ambulances will give you a nice defense boost. you can bring 5 allies to battle for every level, and 4 units per allies. now at your level if you stayed low say 10 allies, thats 40 units and at 18 defense per unit 40 MA's would give you a defense of 720. Defense truely is a numbers game. what i would suggest is stop leveling up and stop all missions and attacks. upgrade your war factory to level 5 and start saving money to buy military ambulances. as you build and save money buy more than 40, so ever 4 more over 40 you have means you can add another ally. remember though that as you add more allies your rivals add more attack units to counter you. you have to find the right balance of allies to make sure your defense is the highest it can be. hope that helps. Check if you need to do an update- if nothing is showing go to general and check your restrictions make sure you dont have install apps restricted if its restricted updates wouldnt show.

Either trial and error, or putting all your units into a spreadsheet. If a (relatively) cheap cash unit still makes it into your army, just see how much your attack goes up by purchasing a commando or biowarfare troop for ex. If there isn't a cash unit that still makes it into your army, then unfortunately the only way to tell is through a spreadsheet.

Unfortunately for us android players we don't have all the features and content as iOS do. Android does not have the rankings/battle points, we currently do not get the elite boss events either. We have voiced our issues with Crime City Mark (community manager/developer) and he has passed them to the higher managers. So hopefully we will get them, but who knows.

I think you must have won some units from the current boss event before the bug got fixed. Any units you won in the first few hours disappeared for a day or two before the bug was fixed. Sounds like that's what you had. I bet your units are back now?

I’m unsure where to post suggestions but thought this as good a place as any.

I’ve mentioned before that it is somewhat annoying that many of us have hundreds or even thousands of units that are pretty much redundant – they are too weak to defend or attack. It would be a nice addition to the game to have buildings such as a university and a “mod shop” where these units could be “upgraded”. For example, the at the university you could take one light gunner and convert them into a scout at a cost of 400 gold – meaning that the unit cost of the ranger would be the same as buying it outright.

This unit could then be upgraded to a Ranger at the cost of 1000 gold etc. I would expect the time taken to be an increment of the value of the unit either in gold or stat terms. As converting a heavy gunner (8/5) to a SEAL (10/10) means a plus 7 stat increase, perhaps it takes 7hrs.

The university and mod shop would be upgradeable with the level determining the number of units that you could “train” at the same time – perhaps 2 or 5 per level.

As this is obviously something of a “premium” building I would expect it to cost something around 200-500 gold bars.

If this is in the wrong place, then please feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate. Thoughts anyone?

Today in the morning while checking the new features my mw crashed. From that time one i can not restart it. When i hit the mw icon on my ipad it just loads for 3 seconds and returns me back to the original ipad screen. I tried to restart my ipad but i have the same issue goin on. No it does not, it simply means you can open a box. many have spent alot of gold and got nothing.

I have, lets say 100 allies, and i get 10 allies requests and push the "Add all"-button, only one of the requested is added, even though all of them disappears from the list, so i´ll end up with 101 allies.

Is it just me that´s having this problem on the Android-version?

All of them were able to join without an issue however one of the members i tried to invite i got an error message "This member is not allowed to join groups" Is there a resolution to this? Is it based on his settings?

First off sorry if this is off topic but i can't find a join my faction post thats staying at the top of forum! I would have started this earlier but with Gree's rep i knew it would be bug ridden joke event as always, but i decided to start a faction solely for the bonuses only (won't be buying fortifications or going to war in WD events ) as what chance do i have of beating the gold and hacker factions, even with my high stats.? none!! so whats the point as u won't finish in the top 250 therefore no prizes ... if anyone is without a faction for same reasons join me and only donate money for stronger defence building, health regen (perfect for beating elite bosses) and increase income from money buildings!! Revenge will take you to their base. When it says attack is when you will automatically attack them without getting to see their base.

Some platforms do not have that option yet. I have an LLP on a Kindle Fire, and they have not released the factions version on that platform yet -- some kind of holdup in the approval process from Amazon. If you are on IOS, you should see "FACTIONS" in the menu when you click on the clipboard in the lower right corner of the screen.

I've heard you will get half of the cost of your last upgrade to that building, rather than the cost of actually buying the building. Since upgrading the building cost more than the purchase, the answer is yes.

Depend of what you want : you can buy/upgrade it to have more defense (you never loose this defense unless you sell it or get raided but can still repair it)
But on the other side you can't upgrade something else at the same time.

So only 100K is protected and my defence is quite good compared to Rivals. I only come across very few players who are stronger but they so many allies they are not in my bracket.

Also, I thought the enemy listed the number of allies that the enemy had, but when I attacked them, the stats were completely different. Was there some method to this madness, I read posts for a while and did not see anyone asking about this. Thanks for your help....

You can only bring a max of 460 allies to battle at lvl 92. So if you have more allies than that at the moment, every time you level up you'll be able to bring 5 more allies to battle. Each ally allows you to bring 4 more units to battle. So you are essentially just bringing 20 more of your units to battle every time you level up. How strong these units are depends on your inventory. Right now at lvl 92, you can bring your top 1840 units to battle, at lvl 93 this will increase to 1860, then 1880 at lvl 94 etc. (assuming you are at max allies). Does this help? In that star, there was a number, but it only went from 1-3, nothing higher. A friend of mine was playing also, and he didnt have the stars/number that I had... but he also was not a faction leader....

I'm pretty sure the number in the star was their position in the faction. So, a '1' means Leader, '2' means Officer, and '3' means Member.
