I know I'm just paranoid... But I keep getting this feeling that since this update came out during an event... that somehow my chances of getting rings will be affected by downloading (or not downloading) the update...

For example... maybe Funzio realized the randomization formula for getting those hard to find 9th and 10th rings was a little bit too much in a player's favor... so they released an update to make them even harder to get...

Of what if it's the other way around... and the update actually improves your chances... and I'm missing out by not downloading...

Of course... like I said... I'm just paranoid... and the update probably has nothing to do with this...

I could be wrong, but it always came across to me that the randomization of the rings was done on the server side (IE they query the server and get a response).... if that is the case, your odds would be irrelevant to the update.

That makes perfect sense.. and I'm sure you're absolutely right...
I'm just one of those people who can't help but wonder... what if...

I would agree with Red.
Calculation items such as causality rate, random # factor, etc are probably done on the server side. The update might have some new maps, graphics, bug fixes, new quests and maybe even new data structure for future releases such as new monsters, new GUI for future events, etc.

A little bit more info than just "big fixes" would have been useful though... What bugs. Makes me paranoid too War Eagle. Then again, communication is not Funzio's/Cree's strongest asset!

Hello???? Funzio what happened?? Gree takes over and the forums crap out!!! Hire a new lfizzle!!! Crappy forums makes me less motivated to spend anymore money on the game!! Is there going to be scratchers for KA??
