If there was even winning chance of the types of items that come up, 6/6 for the car = (1/6)^6 chance which I think is about 0.00214% chance.... And for 5/6 car = 6C5 * (5/6) * (1/6)^5 = 0.064% chance still quite slim..... (multiply by six for any 6/6 or 5/6 prize....) this is assuming all prizes are equal chance.

By estimation I think the chances of getting 2/6 and maybe even 3/6 may be higher than 1/6, so I guess that's sorta a consolation.

Disclaimer: My Maths during college was horrid! And this may be completely and utterly wrong so please to base any gold purchases on this..

If everyone gets a new scratcher every day it could either be at a set time every day, or more likely, the free scratchers have a hidden 24h cool down timer. I won't be surprised either way. What about this, just to get a car card theses are the chances.

(1/6)^5 *100 = 0.013%
(1/6)^4 *100 = 0.077%
(1/6)^3 *100 = 0.461%

Take this statement: (1/6)^1 *100 = 16.67% getting 1 car card IF there is only one section to scratch.
But since there are 6 sections, you have to ensure the other 5 sections do not contain a car AND do not duplicate.
Thus, we would have:

(COMBIN(6,1)*(5/6)*(4/6)*(3/6)*(2/6)*(1/6)^2) or equivalently 6!/6^6

but since (according to funzio) having the equal number of faces creates a random pick, solution needs to be divided by number of different item types (i.e. 6)

So to get a 1 car prize the chances are 0.2572% which is quite nice to know... =D

I knew nothing about these scratchers until I saw it here tonight!!!! It didnt show up until I got the app update on ky iphone. Only scratched one (free) ticket, and got a Despoiler 68/82. I just got the 10th tire just prior to midnight. Happy for that, thought i wasnt going to get the 10th because the fisy 9 came in the first 28-30 hrs, then nothing. ut after getting the 10th, did the update and the entire tire progm wasnt there!!! Uncluding any og the earlier items. But they all came back with-in 2 hours!!!!

During beta, I got a lot of worthless crap for my level, but one day I got a Power Racer car for 318A/212D, free. I am having a hard time seeing the downside in that. Also, for players that are NOT at level 200, the lower level accounts benefit tremendously.

Yeah, $1000 isn't much value to just about anybody in the game, but scratch cards and pull tabs in real life and tire boxes here are using the free option are flat out fails. Thinks of $1000 as a fail. Try again tomorrow.

This will add a fun element to the game, although to those who should already be seeking treatment for their gambling addiction, this is gonna be like crack.

You gave ONE example of a situation in which Android users were treated well yet events have taken place on Apple devices for how long??? We came into this game already at a disadvantage because Ios users had equipment from events.

Anyone starting out new regardless of platform is at the same "disadvantage". If you're just starting out you will be competing against players who have been playing longer than you. Accept it or quit. There are no other options.

Just know that there will be more events that you will be able to participate in, and so far the only thing that has EVER been officially labeled as exclusive to one platform is the box from fort knox. Even level 200 players on iOS will never have a shot at those, so if anything it's the iOS players that should complain, not the android players. :rolleyes:

It's not an event afaik. Check the announcements sub forum. I think it's a limited time offer where you buy gold and get two free weapons, and you can buy as much as you want. Pretty sh!tty, IMO, but then almost everything in this game that requires real money is ripoffulous.

The scratchers paid out some decent rewards, I actually enjoyed the lottery style, and the act of scratching them off a lot more than the events where I can never get over 8 or 9.. So tired of seeing the bikes and eu batons

Anyhow, my ONLY complaint on this scratcher event is that every time I scratched off two of one type of prize and cash was present (IE two cash and two respect points, or two cars) it gave me $10k.. Useless amount, I'd rather the 250 RP or the low level reward car, shouldn't it be weighted to award the better item, or make it at least a 50/50 chance of getting the better item rather than the $10k?

I just tried my luck with 20 Tapjoy gold. I was awarded 1000 energy because apparently I misclicked and even though every other item in the special store prompts before completing the transaction, energy is special and automatically sucks your gold away. :mad:

Also the name has changed. They are rotating some of the prizes ie. Limited edition scratcher items, if I remember correctly. So maybe the drop in stats is just until a new LE item replaces it. Also all of the scratcher car stats are lower.

They did the +25% income from buildings the other day, then it was +20% better payout from jobs (those expire at level 200 unless Conzio answers my ticket from several days ago and says otherwise), yesterday the "grand" prize was nothing more than 100k RP...

No, it means you get 5 of the 6 items on the scratch ticket to be RP for 15,000 RP (one time) or 6 of the 6 items on the scratch ticket to be RP for 100,000 RP (one time). Odds are ridiculous to get it though.

The best thing I got from a scratcher was a fluid transfer plus (car), 140/85. As a free player, it's the best item in my inventory so I was pretty pumped :D

Received a couple other cool items, black bandit car (32/28) for example, but mostly get RP and $. Oh well, can't complain about free stuff.

There are several alternative options that could be offered. Cash and RP are already easy to get for free by simply playing the game. Offering cash and RP on scratchers just makes it a whole lot tougher for legit players to spot and report suspected cheaters. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but I think that fact right there is a big reason why cash and RP are potential scratcher "prizes" in the first place. It has often been said by CCM, one of the only Funzio reps with a forum presence, that most "cheaters" are actually "big spenders". What better way to lend complete plausibility to that statement than to offer any spender, big or small, the chance to win a huge amount of in game currency that is either unavailable for purchase with real money, or expensive to buy with real money?

As listed, there are a minimum of four alternative scratcher prizes. The world is a dark place populated by lots of devious individuals and corporations. No one should ever assume that they are not involved with such a type wherever real money is concerned and even where it isn't. Suspect everyone unless they repeatedly prove themselves to be trustworthy, and sadly, Funzio has not "repeatedly" demonstrated that they are entirely trustworthy.

I hope that changes in concurrence with the "upcoming changes" as advertised by CCM, but I learn from history and experience. In this case, both history AND experience have taught me over the past 9-10 months that Funzio is not an advocate of transparency, nor are they a fan of clarity.

Make up your own mind, but don't make assumptions in doing so. I try not to assume anything, and if I hold negative beliefs and am proven wrong, I will gladly and happily admit to being incorrect. I have no pride. It's a lot more embarrassing to be a brown-noser and then find out you have a sh!tty smell in your nose for no good reason!

I agree with you 100%. This was a great addition to the game. I haven't had much luck with the scratchers but I think it will keep free and light gold players engaged in the game. This is one thing that I think was a brilliant move on Funzio's part.

It is all about chance and luck , crates ,scratchers , events (aside from epic boss) , it has been always about chance and luck !
Same as farming M4A1 , or anything else , it is all about luck , some can get 1 , while others could get 20 a day .

yeah scrathcer will dominate your inventory , if you play 360 days , and are still low level camper .
LoL 2k stats is nothing at low level , good thing rivalry list has been fixed !
Where once 2k by smart planning and not spending was awesome , now lower levels aside from scratcher campers , cheaters , is a huge mess !
