I think depends, for map I am at the very last map and have no problem getting boxes, currently sitting at 17, and I do not want more at the moment, I have stoped PVP, because I do not want to take any from players since I seem to get all I need from here (I think it will depend on your hero strenght and the monster's stat too)

I think the tiers are at 26, 51 and the last at 81

How big's your energy bar? I'm averaging less than 1 drop per 3 energy bars. Lvl 29, 390 energy.

I do not believe you "steal" any boxes from pvp. I believe they are "loot" drops just like any other loot drop chest that contains loot units. I asked someone on rival list how many boxes they had. Told them I was gonna attack until I got a box. Then asked how many they had. They did not lose a box.

Actually you lose the boxes. I have lost a few boxes from PVP.

They are stolen and you cant get them unless the person has them.

Which is why its harder to get boxes from PvP at the beginning of an event.

I expect Skoty422's experiment didnt account for the time lag between the theft and the report of that theft.

My energy bar is at 530 on level 45. I have 19 unopened boxes mostly from PVE just following quests.

Unfortunately not - only when you attack and win.

I don't think you can win any boxes from successfully defending attackers. Boxes can be won by successfully attacking a player. I had stolen 3 boxes from a single players with 12 attacks. I wasn't interested in his boxes; I just wanted his unvaulted gold, lol.
