View Full Version : New idea: advertising in-game to reduce gold prices?

I was wondering why Crime City has no advertising in-game at all. The prices of gold items are rising and rising, and surprisingly rising again. That's why I want to discuss the option of advertising in-game. I have a few thoughts for nice ways to advertise in-game:

1. a pop-up when you open the app
2. at the side of hoods
3. sponsored buildings (for instance: Coca Cola Condos - a big red cola bottle that works just as a normal money building)
4. sponsored items (for instance: The Pathmaker looks a lot like a Hummer, so it may be an opportunity for Hummer to advertise for their cars)

These are just a few ideas by myself that Funzio can use to make some extra money - and a chance to lower the gold prices and make their costumers happier. Please discuss about the subject.

How about a decoration.. a blank billboard for the hood that I could rent out for gold. The more I am attacked the higher the billboard value... 499s would make a killing

Superb idea. Lets put some ads in and ad-free game. Thats what I really miss in CC, stupid pop-ups and splash screens selling me viagra, luxury watches and other usefull stuff.

Or we could have CC welfare, and get free gold on the first of every month.

That was awesome.. nice... maybe a new building the welfare agency that can only be robbed once a month for gold

Nothing against having sponsored buildings but pop ups and side borders no thank you.

Haha I was thinking the same, maybe a Public housing building that "may" or "may not" pay out!

CC crashes enough as it is. I would hate using my antique 3GS with ads slowing it down more.

Don't throw stupid ideas around!

They would probably just implement the advertising and make you pay to get rid of it :P

I think if they had ads for people who have never bought gold, a lot of people sitting on the fence about whether or not to buy would be persuaded.

1. No
2. That could work
3. I like that
4. Hummer went out of buisness but the idea's good.
