What kind of budget should I use to buy gold?

Hey everyone!

I'm debating on whether I want to put enough RL money into this game to get up to the higher stats to be more competitive. Currently, I'm level 179 (almost 180) and I'm running into a lot of other players at stats levels of 50k A, 50k D, quite a few at 80k A, 80k D, some at 100k A, 100k D and, of course, the top players are at 150k A & D up to 180k A & D, from what I've seen.

Examples:

Should I buy a vault of gold every gold sale? Is that not enough?
What have you done in the past or are doing now to get your stats up to say 50k?
Tips on spending gold on a monthly budget? This would work the best for me as I get a monthly bonus that I can work with if I want.
$100/month?
$200/month?
$300/month?
$400/month?

Please give me some good ideas on how to stretch the funds out but still get to those high levels....say over the next 6 months you need to do this or over the next year, you need to do this....

I'm either going to do this or not as I don't see myself spending more RL cash to get enough gold to get to say 45k A as it's not going to do much for me.

Right now I have approx 37k A (no explosives) and actual 38k D (no explosives) and spent for 1 vault and a little more for crates to get my attack from about 34k A to 37k A.

My budget would be based off of the benefit derived from the money spent. I really can't go over about $400/month without upsetting the wife except for on quarter bonuses, which can allow much larger purchases.

Any help would really be appreciated!

It's not every penny, haha! It's what I usually spend on video games, entertainment, etc each month without upsetting the wife by spending too much.

Hmm really it depends on how much you wanna grow in strength. You do have pretty good stats for minimal gold spent on weapons. With your current stats crates should give u about 1100-1500 attack and defense when you buy a vault of gold. When I spend A vault of crates I avg bout 1,000 but I also have 73,500 att and 78k defense. Well 74k true d if u wanna get technical. So I say start out at 200.00 for a couple months see how u grow and re acess after that.

Buy iTunes gift cards on sale and then wait only to buy cc gold on sale. 35% off of normal gold prices. If you don't get iTunes gift cards on sale then wait for an in game gold sale and buy 5 which is basically getting one free vault off of regular prices. Rinse repeat every sale. The only problem is ith higher crate prices and higher stats you will see less of a stat increase that you did back at 40k att deg.

I Like the idea of iTunes gift cards on sale along with a gold sale. That's sounds like the best deal.

Did most of you pay over time or put one big lump sum into the game and go from there?

This is where I'm at. I'm level 174, and my stats are strong enough to do Hardcore Hitman and Thug Life simultaneously, but I don't think I can even compete with Eyelusion right now. Lol! In order to play with the heavy hitters, I'd have to put thousands into this game - and I'm just not going to do that.

If you get that much enjoyment out of the game, go for it. I don't play angry birds anymore. I figure the day will come when I'm not playing this anymore, either.

Spend what you can. Trust me, its never enough. I swore i wouldn't spend anymore and now i'm spending again like a nutter. I want to be competitive like you said.
