In a way I'm surprised of the high age group. I suppose it's an easier game to play when there is no controller. I tried getting my father to play call of duty,he loved it but couldn't get used to the controller.

Exactly! And, some of us were playing video games when you bought the cartridge ONCE, and that was the game. You played it until you finished it (and if you loved it sometimes started all over again) and you didn't have to pay for it anymore. No games where you keep spending $$$ within the game. Unless you were at an arcade and kept spending quarters! Lol..

For Real! PAC-Man on Atari, Donkey Kong on Coleko Vision (sp?) and Joust / Dig Dug at the arcade :). Mario Brothers and Tetris were cool - but the others were the Original 80's kids games that started the Gen X computer revolution!

My 19 y/o daughter can't comprehend that in my Senior Year (1989) - we didn't have the Internet, Google, email, cell phones, texting, etc. "What's an encyclopedia Dad?"

My first addiction to a game was a war strategy called Command And Conquer (which I noticed a Forum member with that name) that came out circa 1993. I was active duty Navy working in a medical warehouse where we were on computers all day. Needless to say - I got about 6 hours of game play at work during my 8 hour work day for about a year then another 4 to 6 hours each night at home :)

I can't fcuking believe I'm in the top bracket! Man life catches up with you pretty quick. 41 years old. Favourite video games probably cannon fodder on the Sega Megadrive, Scramble in the arcade (the first ever game where you could shoot forwards AND bomb downwards at the same time) and the Total War series from SEGA for the PC.
