When I get 9 out of 10 in events, on the last day I set an alarm to wake myself up every single hour of the night (it usually still doesn't get me the tenth which is annoying).
I've turned down invites from friends to go clubbing because I know if I did I'd be robbed but further, it would throw my things out of sync.
I've cancelled a date with a girl because my upscale would have had to be collected at that particular time.
I have deprived myself of sleep in order to collect from buildings due to paranoia of the threat posed by a particular cold mafia member.
I have refused to go out with my family so that I could play crime city, open event boxes, collect from buildings, keep everything in sync and keep up personal wars against players to save face.
I've basically given up all my time, almost continuously for the entire day, for the past month solely to play this game. Leaving it behind only to go to work and only for the bare minimum of sleep when no event was on.

Wow.. you seem to be very dedicated to this game. I set alarms in the middle of the night to collect buildings and I collect during work. I'm not setting my alarm every hour when there is an event.

This doesn't sound like a very balanced approach to the game.

Remember, there is no winner.

Besides getting moderate anger from my girlfriend and nearly getting my phone confiscated at work I'm controlling my addiction reasonably well. There's no way I'll sacrifice sleep over this game although i do wake up a bit earlier to collect the virtual dough. Who knows? One day I'll probably be at a funeral opening event boxes LOL.

I've done every single one of those except the date with the girl thing. I'm married and my wife loves crime city too, so I'm all set in that dept. all the way around. :-)

I use a wifi only iPad so can't leave home if I want to play crime city, and I'm somewhat addicted to crime city. Carrying an iPad around outside is undesirable because it's unweildly, I don't want to break it and relying on finding and connecting to wifi hotspots is unreliable at best.

That really is dedication!

I find the planning and playing of CC quite the****utic as strange as that may sound, and keeps my mind occupied when I'm not busy. The not going out part etc is a different level you've got going which I wouldn't like to go to!

I also use a wifi only iPad, and yes I am also addicted to this game. My solution was this:
I rooted my phone for the wireless tethering option. If you are truly addicted as I am, you WILL find a way.

I play when i go to the loo when i'm out and at work. When i was trying to get 1st place during the pvp challenge, i played while i was out at dinner with my mates... they thought i had gone insane lol

Not much else, it's more the socialising that i want to change... a lot less talking and more kickin butt. :p

wow, some of you guys sound sick...
I only set the time when my upgrade finishes, could leave my wedding chapel there uncollected for 12 hours.
That's why I would never start my NC saving, my actual collection efficiency is too poor.

With a lot of mature Econ thoughts so far, I'm getting less and less addictive to this game now...
And since all the end game RP items are for attack purposes, I don't think there will be any joy cumulating RP.
At some level up there, you simply can't defend people and impossible to keep cash on hand.

Still looking for someone in RL plays CC MW or KA, guiding him and make friends would bring more pleasure IMO.

It is remarkable how addictive the game is, while being so utterly pointless at the same time. Whatever psychological elements encourage addictive behavior (having to wait, random boxes like a slot machine, special buildings/items) the game seems to prey on all of them and of course you can get what your fix at any time simply by buying enough gold.

I'm embarrassed I've spent as much money on this game as I have, though I suppose considering how much time I spend on it and how much I enjoy it, it isn't that unreasonable.

So Gwiz told me about this thread I got a good one....

So many of you know my occupation.
As such the staff, nurses, OR techs, everyone plays on my account on the iPAD. Its a fun way to keep staff happy.
When Gwiz and I were in a major month long battle (he had a NC when no one else did at that level)

I set up timers in the OR on all his buildings especially his Level 2 NC.
So up on the White Board in the OR we had patient stats, info, times etc......
**** Then a whole section dedicated to robbing Gwiz...*** :p

you might need an intervention bro, im serious. Lots of people are addicted to this, but you're on a whole nother level. If you are worried about getting robbed and **** you should just buy an iphone, that way you can take crime city where ever and don't have to give up portions of your life.

You are correct, The game is heavily skewed towards the offensive side. I think funzio did this buy design, people with 20K less attack than your defense can still rob you so you have to buy hundreds to thousands in gold if you want to fend people off.

To those who work outside of the medical field, I can understand why you might feel this way. A lot of things like this go on inside medical environments (especially surgical facilities), so may sound shocking to someone unfamiliar.

BUT

Standard protocol in surgery is Music loud and fun, while u are sleepy time. If you do what we do without anything to keep spirits up......

-you will kill yourself
-have a serious substance abuse problem
-you will destroy every meaningful personal relationship

Need I go on???

Be GLAD and Feel Lucky that providers come up with these fun environments and types of solutions, as the alternative is what results in poor outcomes for patients.... that and socialized medicine from Canada. lol

Besides who would want to do Lipo to anything but paul oakenfold????

Have treated many pt from Canada so I have seen the the dynamics of a "free" system that is unresponsive to dying pt immediate needs, ( I hope you never have to learn these things yourself). Also considering Ive been a Surgical Tech, Physician Assistant, Medical Doctor, General surgeon, and finally specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery... Think I save and changed a life or 2 along the way.
