I have been doing 2 hit kills on mine gnat/spiders, never 3, and 3 hit kill on the mine worker. Now i have to do 3 hits on the mine gnat/spider and 4 for the mine worker.(last map, dwarven mine) anyone else notice the diff or is it just me?

I have the same thing. Happened after the event prices were handed out. Monsters on all maps have about 30% more hp for me. No increased xp, gold or loot drop rates. Can funzio please explain?

Yay! Im not the only one! Do u have the hydra by any chance? Cos if u do, it would actually explain smth.

yes i have the hydra. Seems the hydra has a side effect of adding 20% hp to mobs or something as well.

I've sent ticket to funzio, no reply yet. Is there nobody else with this bug? I do same dmg per hit as before, but the hp of monsters are simply higher.

So my suspicions are right. After getting the hydra, we didnt get -20% army loss in combat. But we gained 20% monster health so it gets harder to kill. Lame.

Actually this is quite interesting. It may reveal something about the mechanism of unit casualties. It seems that your units may have a "hp pool" after all, and that they will die at some point. My theory after this hp glitch is that the Hydra was supposed to increase all your units hp by 20% while it had an unfortunate side-effect of increasing your pve monsters hp pool by the same amount.

After much testing now it is quite around 20% increase of hp on all my pve monsters on all maps after i received the hydra.

That actually makes a lot of sense.

I have noticed that the dwarven mine mobs seem to take more hits, even despite me finding a better weapon and levelling up my hero's strength recently.

I don't have a hydra, so I doubt it's the hydra causing the problem.

My water temple is at level 3.

If I am honest, I haven't noticed any benefit (in terms of unit casualties) after levelling up my water temple.

BUT my water temple was at level 3 before I noticed the change in number of hits for mobs in the dwarven mine, so again I doubt the water temple makes any difference on mob hp either.

My theory is that players of the highest levels are killing them too easily and so rather than creating new maps for them to play in, they have taken the lazy option of just making the existing ones harder perhaps?

You might be on to something. They might have made them harder to kill because the players are indeed finishing the maps quicker than anticipated.

I am positive they have more maps coming which takes time and effort and they are trying to balance player satisfaction and having the time to release glitch free, hi quality maps.

I definitely wouldnt call that lazy if it is what happened even though I hope that isnt the case.

No i have gotten a response from my ticket as well saying they are looking into it. and also most players have not had an increase of hp for monsters, so it cant be intentional from Funzio.

And also it affects all maps for me, not just Dwarven mine.

Definitely interesting idea (though hard to test). It's a much more detailed and precise implementation than I expected, but is not inconsistent with what I am observing, and would explain stuff like certain casualty glitches being observed in MW.

This implementation should get you a lower casualty rate as well, if it is true.
