Special crates

So some of you big spenders will have bought your share of crates during your time on CC. So far I have only bought 4. The first time I bought one on its own. The second time I bought a set of 3. The set of 3 gave me 3 commons, 2 items of which were the same, so wasn't too impressed! The 1 crate I bought on its own was an uncommon

So my question is: Ignoring the supposed % drop rate of the various crates, have you guys ever noticed any type of relationship to the 1 vs 3 crates and the item you get? Do the % rates seem right to you or do you find it more beneficial buying 1 crate at a time

Oh 3 don't waste your time on getting only one. And since the price hike the % of rares went up and yes i get more rares. Crates still worth it IMO. When I buy 100.00 in crates which I did with current crates on avg my stats go up 1200 attack and defense. If u haven't spent much gold on weapons your stats will go up way more!

Go for 3! 40% chance of getting an uncommon or rare!

I also only get crates when I can buy a few at a time. Just because yes u can get all commons and that sucks. But lately when I've bought 10 crates iv only got 2 of the 10 all commons so I've been real happy! :)

I've only bought the 3 crates once and got: (I paid 150gold for the 3)

Bling Mac 10 119A 126D rare
Bloody Grinder 284A 131D rare
Rocker Pants 21A 31D common

I plan on buying the 3crates when I hit lvl100ish - I want to spend as much as I can on RP items before getting into gold so I have an idea of what I need/want.

I got the briefcase bomb 2 days ago using 60 tapjoy gold to buy a single crate, so it's possible to do well on them. It was the 5th single crate I bought this week, and the other 4 yielded 2 uncommon melee weapons and 2 common explosive weapons. 2 uncommon, 2 common, and 1 rare (3 of 5 being were explosives) for 300 gold was awesome in my book! My pctg on a small sampling of 5 crates was a much more impressive 20/40/40. I've also had the good fortune on multiple occassions in the past of getting 3 RARES in one 3 pack of crates (screenshot to prove it), so that is still the best way to go if u ask me. It's a gamble either way so best of luck getting something good! ;-)

1 uncommon and 2 commons :( bummer

3 crates all day long!! It can swing the other way and you get something like the below. Would that impress you?

Very jealous!

I'll see if there's a sale on this weekend and give it another try. I've been disappointed with 2 sets of 3 crates so far. Hopefully my third (and maybe final) set of 3 will be more lucky!
