Help me please! Stuck on The Essence of Set

I have killed dozens and dozens of Grave Liches....but I never seem to collect the Essence of Set. Am I doing something wrong?

I had the same problem with the Basilisk Skull and Shambler Twig. You just have to keep killing:p

From my experience in completing the quests that came out in the latest update in the latest maps, many monsters only pop out if you complete all the quests for the maps before, including those that require level 1 mastery. It may be a bug because it creates quest that ask you to kill very common monsters but they never pop out because previous quests are not finished. This has never happened before the latest release.

I did your quest ages ago and never have your problem. If I were you I would try to finish all quests for the maps before the vault of set (that's where you're for the grave liches, right?) and try killing the grave liches again.

Just a suggestion, can't guarantee it'd work though.

Are the rewards for questing worthwhile? I literally have not done a map quest since the tutorial. The quest I'm on is "kill 3 Orc Shamans in the Orc Camp"

Depending on how you wanna play the game. Monster quests are godo ways to earn extra cash & exp. On top of that I think some bosses are only released after you complete certain quests. Monster bosses are effective way to build up a 'cash bank', i.e. saving the last strikes of a number of high value monster in order to kill them all in one energy bar for a huge chuck of cash. Right now many people have been playing for long and hence have large vault, so this technique doesn't matter anymore. Back when level cap was 50 people attacks others more (in my perception) and I use this technique to build my 45k lender while my vault was only 13k, at no risk at all.
Seems like you're a camper so no need to bother with them!

Not a camper, I just kill the monsters I want to as opposed to the ones assigned to me.

I am 99% sure the rune box event is to blame; looking at the KA data doc sheet they have up (you can find a link to it here on the forum ) the average is 1grave lich to get the essence of set. I've gotten close to 30 rune boxes trying for the essence, so I'm moving on to other quests until it's over, as there aren't enough hours in the day to open the ones I already have. ;-)

I'm stuck on Essence of Set, too. I've killed about 100 so far & not one Essence drop. I, too, suspect they screwed something up when they adjusted all the drop rates around the time they started the Rune Box promotion.

I'm also stuck on getting the essence of set. I've killed nearly 200 grave liches. I've sent in two support tickets about it and they say they are investigating. Been four days so far waiting for fix.

Yup, I beat it long ago. Have finished all the maps now and am just going back to master them.

So I went back to try to get the Essence of Set after other people seemed to be able to do it and I only had to kill one guy to get it, so I think whatever bug has been fixed (maybe they fixed it in the latest update which came out today). So hopefully this issue is over for everyone.
