Really? You mean of all the valor units only strike eagle has medium cas rate? Doesnt seem right to me. Even GIGN has low cas

According to the old spreadsheet of EnjoyLife all valor units have low cas rate. I'm almost sure it has always been low

Super Hornet has 0.15%

mickymacirl

0.0015% with a diminish percent for 0.25

cheiz
06-06-2012, 04:57 AM
Micky, do you know what this % relates too? 0,0015% of what?
And what does diminish do?

Nobody

0.0015% with a diminish percent for 0.25

I am sure that 0.0015 is a factor
1 = 100%
0.0015 = 0.15%

Nobody

0,0015% of what?

I think that by using of Super Hornet you lost 0.15% from the unit

The only reason most ppl lose a lot of hornets or sf's is mainly do to the fact you have a big bulk of them your using, against your other units you don't have as many of. I'm using around 115 or so hornets and I used to lose one every 4 or 5 attacks or so for awhile untill I found me a new net shield to replace the amp. Troopers. It make sense though. Naturally if you have a lot of one specific kind of unit, then you could expect to lose them more often sometimes, just out of shear numbers.

I certainly do not have a huge amount of them cos they all got killed off, and still are!

Yes, I've heard that theory before, but I'd really like to know if anyone actually knows to what factor this % is actually multiplied. And then there is "Diminish" - what does that do?

I know there's plist data files but I've followed the spreadsheet consumption rates. These are the consumption rates for the SH and the Strike Eagle: Both show Low Casualty.

Super Hornet 0.0030
Strike Eagle 0.0045

I think we have the cause of the of our high casualty issues. these numbers are changing. enjoylife's sheets show much different numbers, i believe his were pre high casualty rate era.

There's an old thread about cas rates and how they (might be) calculated. I think it's interesting: http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?17899-explain-probability-of-low-medium-high-casualty-rate.

It would be nice if someone could post up the new consumption rate list so we can see what's the best bang for the buck.

I opened some of the plist files but couldn't find the unit casualty rate info that Nobody referred to. What's the name of that list? Also it seems that the plists are updated frequently (each week?). Does it mean the casualty rate changes frequently?

I'd like to know the current casualty rate for Commando and Bio Warfare Troop. I feel that their casualty rate changes a lot, since I tend to lose them in each battle for many times but then they don't die for a while, then start dying quickly again.

Also, does meat shield really work? If the casualty rate of units are fixed, then there should be no meat shield, unless a fixed number (a range of 0-5?) of units have to die for each battle. Also I think the opponent defense counts since I tend to lose more units when attacking higher stat players or players with lots of defense buildings. Anyone understand the math behind the casualty for each battle?

This depends on game changes, events, crates

Yes, this can be

I think so:
count of unit X * consume rate of unit X = count of unit X you'll be lost

Example:
You have 2000 Super Hornets, 500 Alies and use in a Battle only Super Hornets
Consume rate of Super Hornet is 0.0015

If you atack a rival with your 2000 Super Hornets (no other units used!!!):
2000 * 0.0015 = 3 => you lost 3 Super Hornets

But the theory still didn't explain how meat shield works. It seems to me that you have to lose some units for a battle. And there is a cap of the highest number of units that you can lose for a battle based on the difference between your AP and the opponents' DP.

My current theory for meat shield is like this: For example, if I have 20k AP and attack someone with 10k DP, I might need to lose 2 to 4 units. If I have 500 meat shield with 1% casualty rate, I will lose 2 to 4 of these meat shield instead of losing a SH or HM, right? At least that is my current theory.

You have a much higher chance to lose the meatshield. It does not work all the time though.
