Defense value of my defense buildings are higher than what store says they are...

Lvl 1 sniper says it should be 32, but the ones in my hood are reading 36 all of a sudden. Lvl 1 guard towers say 3 in the store, but the ones I just built read 4 inside my hood....anybody else notice this?

I assume you're a Goodfella, which increases defense buildings by 10%.

Gotcha......I guess in all this time I just never noticed it til now. Forgot about the goodfella bonus. Thanks! :-)

Actually I am not a Goodfella and I still get the boost. It is actually the Tycoon bonus, instead of giving you 10% more income it also gives you 10% stronger defense buildings.
