Good meat shields

What are some good ones?? I'm approaching level 100 and Im currently using commandos. What should I use or is this a good strategy?

I use flame thrower and heavy gunner right now for troops. Bradley's and a-10s as well.

For defense I have 850 military ambulances. These serve as both meat shield and defense boost.

I still use AT's :0

They are FREE and when I had over 600 of them before the PvP event - I would lose 2 or 3 per battle. I am down to 42 now - and I haven't shed one tear about it :)

If we are talking loot meat shields, I use to have about 200 mini subs. They die fast though.

i use to use them. had about 800, now i'm down to like 50.

now i'm using snipers and inflatables. easier to replace.

Where do you get the venal fighters? And other high stat PVE units? Off topic but somewhat related

Venal fighters are at Caribbean straits(unlock at level 95) and you attack the tugboat(245 energy) and have about a 1 in 4 chance of getting one if not better

AT's are the only 100% drop I know of besides the Desert Leader on the first map (1/1). I had picked up over 1000 Desert leaders one night at the beginning of an event because in the 1st 24 hours there are not many crates dropped in PvP so PvE is where it's at. Now that My AT count is down from 800 to 40 - I am losing Desert Leaders left and right and the count has dropped from over 1000 down to about 450 (which is why I haven't been in a hurry to replace the AT's).

It's probably a good thing to purge my inventory of the lower units so I can increase my girth :) (aka Density).

Yeah - but seals actually cost cash - AT's are FREE. Plus you don't get crates for events when you pound out 20 AT's in one blast of energy.

You only take in the strongest units per ally. If you have 100 allies, that will allow you to bring 400 troops. If those 400 are stronger than 6 in attack, your ATs will be left out of battle. Add more allies till ya can bring em with you.

On a side note, it might be useful to consider keeping your setup if you're not experiencing heavy losses-that way you can build up a nice stockpile of ATs and have an easier time replacing them later when you decide to bring em into battle.
