Got attacked by a hacker for the first time...

I could retaliate, but my current strategy prevents it.

You would hope so however, all you can expect back is a generic email advising you that funzio do not share the outcome of their investigation.

I have reported a few blatant cheaters which funzio clearly did not do anything with as I have seen their names pop up on the pvp event thread.

I have seen people disappear after I reported them. It can take 2 hours or it can take 3-4 weeks, you never know.

I'd advise you to not waste your time reporting cheaters, or to get frustrated by there existence.

When I first started noticing them, I reported several using various obvious cheating methods. Including players with items that they cannot buy at the level they are playing. In all cases I got back that so called generic email from support.

Two of these 100% positive cheaters that have items in their inventories that they can't buy at the level they are playing were reported over a month ago. I have both of these players in my mafia, where I can easily keep tabs of them. So far funzio has taken no obvious actions to ban them or even remove the items in question. Both players continue to play and gain levels and improve their hoods and stats.

At this point, I just laugh whenever I come across one as I am beginning to appreciate the audacity of their craft. Yesterday I saw the most outrageous one yet. He was level 9 and had 4 buildings, 2 level 9 nightclubs, 2 level 9 casinos and hundreds of the highest level purchasable items such as Armored Jets.

Hopefully Funzio will cleanse these cheaters from the game one day, but till that day arrives I'd advise my fellow players to ignore them, the game cannot be fun to play in God Mode so odds are that cheaters will give up playing pretty fast.

I saw something similar this morning: a higher level player with < 4000 wins had 500 sawn off shotguns, 500 RPG's amongst other impossibly high respect and cash items.

There must be a RP hack going at the moment. All we can do is report and hope. I agree the canned response from support precluding Funzio of any sort of accountability when it comes to cheaters is demoralizing.

Also keep in mind sometimes you see the same name pop up - and that is because people can have the same name...

That's shocking that has to be the most blatant cheat I have ever heard of !

We are urged to report the cheaters but never see them dealt with

Is it just me that thinks that we as players should not need to report cheaters who have building and items that cannot be obtained at their current level.

A programmer at Funzio could spend 2 hours writing 20 lines of database code to find every one of these players... OR we players could report them every time we see them and a support staffer could then spend 15-30 minutes verifying the report.

I do not understand the economics of individual reporting which could be done easily by script, but then again I don't run a 200m game company.

There is this guy with 500 Excelero, 1200 CW and some other thousand respect items. 100% cheater, absolute impossible. I reported him twice, he still happily attacks me, others and discussed hacks on his wall with other.

I lost my faith that Funzio takes it serious. And I fully agree that it is not the players job to find and report cheaters.

Sometimes I wonder if the real problem isn't just a display bug. We all know CC is broken in one way or another, always has been and always will be. Maybe some alleged cheaters aren't cheaters or even big spenders, and there is a different problem going on. If Conzio verifies a report and decides to take no action, maybe it's because there is a bug and that's not what they were looking for. It is probably very easy to overlook one thing when you are busy looking for/at other things. Any veteran player can tell you there has been no shortage of oversights in the history of Crime City.

Unfortunately a script won't solve all our problems. Hackers will just find another way to ruin the game for everyone else. That is why they need people to report them but only true cheaters! I'm sure people get reported just because someone is upset they got robbed for a lot and that doesn't help. Keep it to the facts! Hackers do Funzio no good and I'm sure they don't want them in their game causing havoc. Keep reporting and try to enjoy the game the best you can. Hackers find a way into every game :-(. So customer support is equally unreliable on these matters, too; good to know. Who is running that department? They need to be asked to seek new employment.

I think when they introduced the game to android many glitches were able to be abused. It would be great if they banned and took care of the cheats quickly, there are many blatant cheats and the 2 that I have reported several times in the past 2 weeks have not been dealt with yet (reported multiple times due to it seemed a new glitch was being abused on a daily basis).
Many of the cash glitch users, that openly admitted it on their walls still have all of the gear amd buildings they bought with the glitched cash - so these seemingly cash only players will always be above all the other free players.
I don't think any of us want a personal update on what happened to a player, but when we go back to visit their hood it would be nice to see all of their cash gear, RP gear, buildings and such were stripped

I think all that needs to be said about Funzio's (lack of any) approach to dealing with cheaters is evident on this thread. A company representative appears only to state that it was an error to dare tell any of us that they might have been addressing a cheater, despite all of the other posts describing the rampant cheating. Nice. Tin ear for customer relations much?

i know a cheat, he is in my mafia! he has even listed on his wall how to cheat. i won't talk about the crap because there is no fun at all in cheating. he has like all buildings level 10 and some of the costliest buildings! millions of dollars and talk about the defense and attack at level 71. he is a god (of cheats?). anyway, i can cheat too. so can you. but there wont be much fun if u invaded the game in just 2 days. and then u move over to some other game and do all the ****ty stuff, what's the fun? i can still understand if the cheating part is just for a short fun, u invaded the game, u got all the buildings and weapons and then .. time to move on to some other game. but it gets on nerves when some s-hole attacks u or robs u and u can't do **** with ur little 3k attack/3.5k defense compared to 30k attack/defense.

so two word for cheaters ... u suck!!

funzio .. we know that u recently launched the game for android users but trust me, this crap has to end. either u find out all the cheaters and kick em off or give everyone equal chance, allow cheating officially :D

It's a game, but its one that i'm willing to support monthly or weekly. Thats why i'm so pissed at the cheaters
They should make it subscription based, that should weed out the cheaters more
10 bucks a month or something, that should make them think twice about cheating
